Ella Langley Debuts Her Most Sentimental Song Yet With Unreleased “Lovin’ Life Again”

Ella Langley is back on the road and is giving fans a taste of an unreleased song that will appear on her forthcoming record, Dandelion. Langley has been on a hot streak since 2024, with the success of her duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me.” And now in 2026, she has continued to dominate the streaming charts with “Choosin’ Texas,” officially making it a crossover hit by sending it to pop radio. The infectious song has truly taken over, and she has no plans of slowing down as she just announced her next project, Dandelion, which is slated for an April 10 release. Ella says she wanted it to feel like “the best kind of Sunday afternoon,” and the record really serves as a love letter to her childhood memories and that feeling of nostalgia and freedom: “This record has so much growth in it. I’ve never poured more of myself into a project, into a song, into an idea, and it’s fallen out so beautifully. It’s about learning yourself, making mistakes, and realizing that it’s all just part of life. I want this record to be something that fans can relate to, but also something they want to get up and dance to at the same time. To me, this record feels like fireflies in the summertime. It feels like windows down on a red dirt road. It feels like the best kind of Sunday afternoon. It feels like those days I remember as a kid, where it felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day. This record is really a love letter to that.” View this post on Instagram To open that nostalgic feeling, shortly after the record’s announcement, Langley shared the title single, “Dandelion,” with fans. The tune showcased a much softer, introspective side of Langley, and fans are loving it. The track feels very breezy and calm, like a dandelion swaying in the wind on a slow, sunny summer afternoon. She embraces the fact that she might not be the flashiest, most perfect flower in the field, but rather is “born to live free, riding on a breeze” like a real wildflower. Keeping on that introspective track and the feeling of connecting with her roots, over the weekend, Langley debuted another song from the record while performing at Bulls, Bands & Barrels in Bossier City, Louisiana. Before performing the song, Langley took a second to thank her fans for making all of her dreams come true. Despite her fame, she’s remained truly humble and expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to live out her childhood dreams every day. But Langley faced some hardships last year, prompting her to step away from music and touring to rediscover herself and reconnect with who she truly is. Langley shared with her fans that during her downtime, she was inspired to create this song, reflecting on the things that help her reconnect with her roots. “This next song I’m about to play is on the record. It’s probably the…one of the most sentimental. I went through a time and a half last year. I took a couple of weeks off, and I got to refine myself. I got to have a lot of talks with the Lord, and I got to be re-grateful for all of the things that he’s given me. So on this song, it’s called ‘Lovin’ Life Again.'” Similar to “Dandelion,” “Lovin’ Life Again” conveys a much softer, more natural, and warmer feeling. It’s a switch-up from the edgier, rock-and-roll-inspired flair we love from Langley, but it feels fitting given that she shared she’s aiming for a “Sunday afternoon” kind of record. You can clearly hear how much Langley’s upbringing has shaped her in “Lovin’ Life Again,” and the imagery she paints of reconnecting with herself in Alabama transports listeners to a rolling pasture with warm sunshine on their faces. “When days are long, I drift away I play that song I used to play When skies are always summertime blue And just like that, I’m back to Lovin’ life again Dreaming dreams about back home Riding on the wind When I close my eyes, I find some peace in the back of my mind In between the pines where I’m jumping on that quarter horse And then just like that, I’m back to Lovin’ life again” This sounds like another hit for Langley. If the live version of the sound is this captivating, I can’t wait to hear the studio cut. Check it out.
