How the Democrats Plan To Steal the Election

by Lew Rockwell‚ Lew Rockwell: Biden and Trump have clinched the nominations of their parties for President. Everybody is gearing up for a battle between them for the election in November. It’s obvious that Biden is “cognitively impaired.” In blunter language‚ “brain-dead”. Partisans of Trump are gearing up for a decisive victory. But what if […]

A Prayer for Personal Reflection and Growth This Easter Season – Your Daily Prayer – March 19

A Prayer for Personal Reflection and Growth This Easter SeasonBy Emma Danzey Philippians 3:12 says‚ "Not that I have already obtained all this‚ or have already arrived at my goal‚ but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." Easter is a holiday that we as believers are privileged to celebrate. As we ponder the many festivals and holidays that are on the traditional Jewish calendar‚ they were all pointing to the ultimate sacrifice that would come in the life‚ death‚ and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are called to celebrate His forgiveness of our sins and the security that we have in our salvation in heaven with Him forever.  If I am being completely honest‚ I have not valued or prepared well for many Easters in my life. It often got overshadowed by robin eggs‚ baskets‚ and a big bunny‚ or it became about finding that perfect Easter dress to wear. This year‚ I am pressing in to the season Lent to really prepare my heart to celebrate. This is a strange concept because every day is a day with new mercies and celebration in the life of a believer in Jesus. However‚ in knowing the holiday is coming‚ I can take time to reflect‚ pray‚ and seek God in His Word so that day will be an even more meaningful celebration of my Savior. How are you preparing for Easter this year? In what ways is God reminding you of His great love for you? We do not delight thinking on the sufferings of Christ‚ but when we do‚ we gain a greater appreciation for the cross. Today‚ I invite you to join with me in praying together to intentionally reflect in three areas. Our sin‚ His greatness‚ and His Spirit's leading. We will pray through each concept to enable hearts of praise for our greatest gift we have ever received. Let’s pray: Dear Jesus‚Thank You for being our Savior. Thank You for the gift of Easter. As we come to you in prayer today‚ we want to begin by asking for Your forgiveness. We are humbled that You came and died for us personally so that we could have new life in You. Forgive us for our selfishness‚ for our pride‚ for our lust‚ for our bitterness‚ for our disobedience‚ and for our judgmental attitudes. We have broken every commandment. We have not even kept one law. We are imperfect sinners. We need a Savior because our works are not enough to cover the wrong that we have already done. Thank You for covering our sins and becoming sin for us so that we might have Your righteousness. Thank You for gifting us with Your Spirit in our hearts. He gives us hope. He gives us the ability to live by His Spirit and not by our flesh. We reflect on Your greatness. Jesus‚ thank you that You are supreme over all. Thank You that you are perfectly good and holy. Thank You that You are perfect love. We praise You that You are intricately involved in every detail of our lives‚ in yet You are sovereign and overseeing the big picture. Thank You for not giving up on us. Thank You for seeing us as loved and valued enough that you would come down as one of us and take our place for our sins. We know one day that we will kneel with everyone and everything at Your name‚ so we are not waiting and we start today. We give Your glory and honor because You are worthy.  We come to You asking for Your Spirit to guide us into growth and spiritual maturity. We do not want to be where we are now next Easter. May we continually by refined and renewed by You‚ Holy Spirit. Help us to live in Your power and not in our flesh. We desire life change that looks so radical and beautiful‚ that everyone around us wants to know what is different. Help us to be light and salt. May what You did for us define us and give us continual confidence in our mission on earth. We praise You Jesus. Amen. What’s the Right Way To Handle This? – Encouragement for Today – March 19‚ 2024

March 19‚ 2024 What's the Right Way To Handle This?ERICA WIGGENHORN Lee en español "If any of you lacks wisdom‚ let him ask God‚ who gives generously to all without reproach‚ and it will be given him." James 1:5 (ESV) As I listened to someone speak hurtful words to me‚ I found myself rubbing the cross necklace hanging from my neck. I simultaneously gazed at the canvas bracelet around my wrist and read the words "What Would Jesus Do?" With emotions swirling and my gut tightening‚ all I kept thinking was‚ What is the right way to answer? Should I simply apologize or try to defend myself? Was my own frustration even justified? Should I turn the other cheek or set a firm boundary? I wished Jesus would miraculously show up and hand me a script of what to say. How often do we face situations in life where we can't quite pinpoint the "right way" to respond? Difficult family dynamics‚ financial stresses‚ parenting choices‚ church conflicts‚ relational decisions ... so many areas where we wish we had immediate access to God's wisdom to apply to our situation. Lord‚ give me wisdom‚ please! I silently prayed as the hurtful words continued. In that moment‚ I took great comfort in the kindness and faithfulness of God in His Word. He has promised to give wisdom when we ask for it - and not just a smidge of good thoughts but a generous amount of true understanding. "If any of you lacks wisdom‚ let him ask God‚ who gives generously to all without reproach‚ and it will be given him" (James 1:5). God promises to give us wisdom "without reproach‚" meaning without scolding or blaming us for needing His continued guidance and strength. In difficult relationships or circumstances‚ I often find myself playing the same shame song: When are you going to learn how to handle this differently? Instead‚ God invites us to come to Him and say‚ Lord‚ show me a better way! This promise invites moment-by-moment intimacy with God. He will give us all the wisdom we need in every situation. He promises that in the middle of a difficult conversation or when a decision must be made‚ we can turn to Him to supply the wisdom we lack. My hard conversation did not result in immediate resolution. And that’s OK. Rather than precise words or actions‚ I most needed a reminder that God knew the truth and He was my ultimate defender. After my cry for wisdom‚ I realized silence in the moment remained the best course of action. Friend‚ we all have questions in our lives requiring wisdom. When we don't know what to do ... when we wonder what to say ... let's go get the answers we are seeking in God’s Word. The book of James is a great place to start. This practical letter in Scripture assures us that God hears and answers us when our hearts need help to respond well. Dear Jesus‚ I have so many questions about how to handle relationships and situations. Thank You for Your promise to give me wisdom generously when I ask You for it. Help me to go to You and Your Word first for the answers I seek. In Jesus' Name‚ Amen.  OUR FAVORITE THINGS You don't have to carry the weight of doing everything perfectly. Thankfully‚ the book of James is filled with practical daily directions that show us how to live a godly life without the pressure of feeling like everything depends on us. FOR DEEPER STUDY James 3:17-18‚"But the wisdom from above is first pure‚ then peaceable‚ gentle‚ open to reason‚ full of mercy and good fruits‚ impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace" (ESV). How does God's promise to bring righteousness when we seek His wisdom comfort you in your situation? What area of your life or particular relationship do you need God's wisdom to handle more effectively? Let us know in the comments! © 2024 by Erica Wiggenhorn. All rights reserved.
