Child says she fought off sex predator who bound and blindfolded her in car A Nicaraguan male who entered the U.S. illegally was arrested in Wisconsin amid an investigation into horrific crimes allegedly committed against a 12-year-old girl by the man and her own mother, according to authorities. Just after 12 a.m. on Sunday, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received a sexual assault complaint from the rural town of Oakfield. Deputies arrived and learned that a 12-year-old girl had shown up at a local resident’s front door after escaping from a vehicle nearby. The girl said she had been bound and blindfolded by a man who sexually assaulted her but she managed to fight back and flee. Sheriff’s detectives have determined the suspect of the assault is a 30 or 31 year old Nicaraguan man (legal identity yet to be determined based on multiple aliases) who entered the United States illegally from Mexico into Texas in October of 2021,” the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office explained in a press release. “At that time he was apprehended by US Customs and Border Protection agents, processed at a federal facility, and released from their custody with instructions to follow per current federal immigration policy.” ? The victim and her siblings are under the care of Fond du Lac County Human Services. Further information about the case is being withheld pending criminal charges and potential additional arrests.
