SpaceX has been working hard to expand its Starlink internet service offerings, and now it looks as if the company is set to bring even more users into the fold. That push comes in the form of a new ultra-portable Starlink mini dish, which Elon Musk has teased and can be set up in less than five minutes. It is small and light enough to be carried in a backpack. Possible renders of the product were shared on X by certain users, which Musk replied to with his own comments on it. When asked if people would be able to purchase the product, he replied that it would be rolling out to select areas within the next few months. However, there’s no more information beyond that. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved the mini dish in the United States last year. The goal appears to be to make Starlink more affordable and accessible by cutting the startup cost. Reports indicate that the mini should cost roughly half the usual $599 that a standard dish runs for. Whether or not that price holds true at the official release remains to be seen. Still, it’s a good move for Starlink, especially as the mini dish could open an entirely separate avenue for possible customers. Not everyone wants a full Starlink setup on their RV or home—like the setup seen in the header image above. A mini dish would help alleviate some of that concern, and if it is available for cheaper, it’ll hopefully make the internet service more affordable, too. Of course, how well Starlink’s service will do in your area is all based on how SpaceX’s various Starlink satellite arrays pass over those areas. Some places may get better speeds than others. But there’s no arguing that the Starlink mini dish could be a good step toward helping to expand where Starlink is available. Topped with a southern favorite, Pimento Cheese, this Southern Pimento Cheese Burger is over the top. A basic ground beef burger gets a flavor explosion when topped with a mixture of cheddar cheese, mayo, cream cheese, and pimentos. It’s insanely creamy and oozing with cheese to the point that the entire burger gets completely covered in a blanket of cheesy goodness. To make them, you start with a simple homemade beef patty made from ground chuck, some Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Grill them until nearly done and then top with enough pimento cheese to make a serious mess. This is a need a whole stack of napkins kind of burger. And maybe a few wet wipes too. What Type of Ground Beef To Use? I recommend using ground chuck (80/20) or an 85/15 lean ground beef. They both have enough fat in it to produce a really flavorful and juicy burger. If you use ground beef that is too lean, your burgers will be dry and tough and lacking in flavor. How To Serve Southern Pimento Cheese Burgers I’ve just added lettuce to keep it simple, but bacon and onion would also be delicious. Serve with some Buttermilk Coleslaw and Root Beer Baked Beans for an amazing southern cookout. Recipe Tips The pimento cheese can be made up to 5 days in advance. Wrap well with plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed. This recipe has just a touch of cayenne pepper in the pimento cheese. To make it spicier, double the amount of cayenne or add a finely diced jalapeno pepper to the pimento cheese. Be sure not to overcook the burgers. An instant-read thermometer is helpful. For medium, cook until burgers reach a temperature of 140 to 145 degrees F. What To Do With Leftover Pimento Cheese Leftover pimento cheese can be used to make sandwiches or as a dip for corn chips or fritos.
