Democrats Want to Probe, Impeach, Ban, Imprison Kristi Noem

Democrats aren’t content with Kristi Noem’s transfer to a new role. They are demanding accountability for the job she did. Secretary Noem had some communication issues, but she did a great job, which is why they have a problem with her. Some want her imprisoned. Others want to ban her from ever holding office again. United Airlines Threatens To Ban Passengers Who Make Noisy Faux Pas

United Airlines is getting a lot of support from fed-up flyers for its new policy, which would require passengers to use their devices with headphones or risk being permanently banned from the airline.  The new rule was added to United’s contract of carriage terms under its “refusal to transport” section in late February. At the time, the airline didn’t draw attention to the small tweak, but CBS News reported on the change earlier this week.  United’s new rules say they may “refuse transport, on a permanent basis” any passengers who “fail to use headphones while listening to audio or video content.”  The airline had already been encouraging headphone use for passengers. “Don’t worry if you forget your headphones for your flight. If they’re available, you can request free earbuds,” it says on the official website. A spokesperson for United confirmed the change, per NY Post. “We’ve always encouraged customers to use headphones when listening to audio content — and our Wi-Fi rules already remind customers to use headphones,” the spokesperson said. “With the expansion of Starlink, it seemed like a good time to make that even clearer by adding it to the contract of carriage.” The policy change was popular among social media users, with many questioning why the practice wasn’t standard across the airline industry. “If anyone around you can hear any noise coming out of your phone, ever at all, you should be arrested and flogged and then thrown into the Pacific,” Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh observed. “The inane world we’re living in where we have to make this a RULE instead of accepting it as common sense and a courtesy to other humans…,” a second person agreed. “I don’t get it,” a third person chimed in. “Why do people actually feel the need to use speakers? I never did and never will. Don’t they know how disturbing it is? I see many people using speakers while talking on the phone like they are the only person in this world.” Travel expert Scott Keyes told CBS News that only a small minority of travelers violate this standard of decorum, but the comments prove that the policy was needed. “This is in line with how the vast majority of travelers comport themselves and would like others to comport themselves,” he told the outlet. “It’s usually only a small number of folks on airplanes who are making noise by not using headphones, so this is a graceful way to handle those folks.”

DHS Rank And File Aren’t So Sad To See Noem Go

Homeland Security agents are largely ready for new leadership after President Donald Trump ousted Kristi Noem as their boss on Thursday. One Border Patrol official said Noem’s ousting “was bound to happen,” citing her handling of immigration raids in Minneapolis. Noem received backlash for labeling Alex Pretti, the anti-ICE activist who was fatally shot by a Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis, as a domestic terrorist before a federal investigation concluded. The agent also cited scrutiny Noem received for a reported delay in border wall construction and an internal campaign the secretary reportedly spearheaded to oust Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott. Scott is highly respected among federal law enforcement officials and previously served as the national chief of Border Patrol. “It was a questionable pick to begin with, no experience in the space,” the agent said. “What a train wreck.” “Between the Minneapolis debacle, the slowdown on approving wall contracts, the suspected affair, and the attempt to oust Rodney, one of the most respected chiefs, she needed to go. What a disaster of a secretary,” the agent added. One Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer said the news of Noem’s departure was “not surprising” after Trump replaced Noem’s ally and top Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino, who was leading aggressive immigration raids in Minneapolis, after the Pretti shooting. Trump swiftly sent in White House border czar Tom Homan, who shifted to conducting more targeted arrests in the Twin Cities, while brokering agreements with local law enforcement to work with ICE. “After she was pulled from Minneapolis and replaced by Homan, I saw the writing on the wall,” the officer said. A Border Patrol agent echoed that sentiment, saying Noem wasn’t “listening to Homan and Scott.” The agent said she also “threw Bovino to the wolves.” Trump announced Noem’s demotion in a Truth Social post, saying he will replace her with Republican Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin, a staunch ally of the president. Noem’s firing came after she blamed Trump during a heated Congressional hearing for questionable $200 million TV ad contracts that promoted deportations and border security. Hours before announcing the leadership change, Trump told Reuters that he had no knowledge of the expensive contracts. Noem testified that the contracts “went out to a competitive bid and career officials at the department chose who would do those advertising commercials.” But the contracts were awarded using “other than full and open competition” to a company formed days before, according to records obtained by The Daily Wire. That company then subcontracted the work to a group run by the husband of Noem’s former spokeswoman. Now, Mullin will have to earn the trust of career law enforcement officials at the Department of Homeland Security who took issue with Noem over her lack of experience in the space. Mullin doesn’t have law enforcement experience either, but is a businessman, rancher, and MMA fighter, according to his official bio. Republican North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis, who has been calling on Noem to resign for weeks, said Mullin “is a great guy and a great choice to lead DHS, restore competence, and refocus efforts on quickly distributing disaster aid, keeping the border secure, and targeting violent illegal immigrants for deportation.” “Another big positive: he likes dogs,” he added, referring to Noem’s book where she admitted to shooting her dog for misbehaving during a hunting outing. Noem will finish out her term as secretary through the end of the month before Mullin takes over and begins a confirmation process, Trump said. While Mullin has been characterized as a hawk on cracking down on illegal immigration and supporting Trump’s mass deportation campaign, he received a C+ for his record on restricting legal immigration by the conservative immigration group NumbersUSA. Mullin has yet to support legislation requiring employers to use the E-Verify immigration status check, according to the conservative organization. He has also yet to join in on legislation to end chain migration, end birthright citizenship, and limit the number of foreign workers in the United States.

Unlike His Predecessors, Trump Declares Endgame For Tehran

With various factions trying to undermine the U.S. strikes on Iran, President Trump made it clear that he would not stop until the Iranian regime falls. “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” he wrote on Truth Social. “After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).” Unlike his predecessors, when it comes to the Middle East, President Trump is a man of his word. Examples abound: Both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush campaigned on moving the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Neither did. “In 1995, Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act that declared Jerusalem to be Israel’s capital and required the embassy to move there by 1999. But each president since the bill’s passage signed waivers every six months in fears of sparking conflict in the region,” the Independent pointed out. But Trump did it. U.S. intelligence reportedly had opportunities to target Iranian terrorist kingpin Qassem Soleimani, but the Obama administration avoided doing so. Trump ordered a January 2020 drone strike in Baghdad that killed him. For decades, U.S. diplomacy assumed Arab states would not normalize relations with Israel until a Palestinian state was created. Trump broke the mold, creating the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. In January, Trump posted a message addressed directly to the Iranian population amid the violent crackdown on demonstrators by the Iranian regime, which reportedly murdered tens of thousands of innocent people. He wrote: “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! … Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. … HELP IS ON ITS WAY.” He kept his promise.
