Yet, the mayor refuses to take any action to curb the rampant violence. The New York Post reported: Chicago’s Labor Day weekend bloodbath left eight people dead and scores wounded — while left-wing Mayor Brandon Johnson continued to rail against President Trump’s proposed National Guard deployment to tackle the city’s crime. At least 58 people were shot across the city, with gunfire erupting in at least 32 different shootings throughout the holiday weekend, WLS reported. One neighborhood saw two mass shootings within 48 hours — with seven people being injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday night and five more being wounded blocks away Monday. A 17-year-old was critically hurt in the Monday shooting, but is expected to survive. Despite the violence, Johnson doubled down on his resistance to federal troops being dispatched to address the city’s crime in a fiery Labor Day speech. “No federal troops in the city of Chicago. No militarized force in the city of Chicago,” Johnson declared Monday. “We’re going to defend our democracy in the city of Chicago,” he added, according to the Chicago Tribune. “We’re going to protect the humanity of every single person in the city of Chicago.” Similarly, Illinois Gov. There are various types of what I call “scavengers.” There are “leeches,” people who seek to tear down the institutions of free markets because they believe that they are entitled to the gains of others. There are the “lechers,” people who believe that the traditional family, the church, have to be torn asunder because those things are an imposition from the outside. And then there are the “barbarians.” The barbarians are people who emanate from places outside the United States, outside the West. And they see themselves as representatives of civilizations that have been laid low by the West. They believe that all of their failures are the fault of Western civilizations. As I write in my new book “Lions and Scavengers”: The barbarian is an outsider to Western civilization who believes that all of his own maladies and ills can be laid at the feet of the colonizers of the West. In fact, the barbarian argues, only violence against his purported victimizers can free him of the servile mentality that these very colonizers have instilled in him. The barbarian speaks in the language of mass-murdering communist monster Che Guevara —whose visage still graces the T-shirts of thousands of misbegotten American college students — championing the power of hatred: “Hatred is an element of struggle, unbending hatred for the enemy which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. The barbarians never posit a moral justification for how the destruction of the Western order ought to operate at their hands. They never explain just how, for example, a Palestinian state is somehow a burgeoning wellspring of human rights, or how an America without American values would make the world a better place. The only thing that matters is the destruction of the West, for in that destruction lies the supposed reclamation of the barbarian identity. WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show Last Friday, there was a big gathering of barbarians over in Detroit, Michigan, called the People’s Conference for Palestine. It was attended by a sitting member of Congress, Rashida Tlaib along with a wide variety of people who talked about the evils of America. They talked about how the country they were sitting in, this place that has given them prosperity, that has given them freedom, was an awful place. All of its core values are evil and terrible and need to be destroyed because America is a bad place, and Western civilization is responsible for all the ills of the rest of the world. If you’re wondering why there are so many people in the West right are now moving toward right-wing parties, it is because those right-wing parties are saying, “We don’t need more of these people in our civilization.” We don’t. One speaker quoted someone saying that “the average American will never understand the plight of the Palestinian person, because the State of Israel is a carbon copy of the United States, and therefore the thing to do is to destroy the idea of America in American’s heads so that they can see the humanity of everybody outside of the warping of American exceptionalism and imperialism and all these evil things. We have to dismantle this idea of American exceptionalism, of supremacy, of being beyond reproach.” He continued, “We live in an evil country.” So get out. You can leave any time now. Remember, the people who are being defended here by this person are the terrorist group Hamas. There was not a single speaker at this event who said that Hamas should surrender, go into exile, and disarm, thus ending the war in Gaza and simultaneously ending the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. That was never mentioned by any of these people, because, of course, the fault always lies with America. It lies with the West. It lies with Israel. Anyone successful in the world is supposed to be a repository of exploitation. Another speaker intoned, “We wanted to globalize the intifada, to expose to the world that Israel’s policies have nothing to do with security, that Israel tries to tell the world, and that our governments also regurgitate gaslighting us. We thought that if we could get this message out, the world would wake up and not allow Israel to do this, to do what it’s doing. And I must admit, that was a bit of naiveté on our part. But we have and we will continue to globalize the intifada, and we will force our government to listen to us, because they want us to accept a world that is inacceptable.” “Inacceptable?” You mean unacceptable. In any case, putting aside the grammar, the bigger problem here is the fact that “globalize the intifada” is a phrase that calls for widespread violence. That is what an intifada is, a violent uprising. Anybody who claims otherwise is lying to you. DailyWire+ This is happening on the soil of America, as I write about in “Lions and Scavengers.” It’s not just that barbarians come from abroad and they enter our gates because we are soft-headed and soft-hearted. It’s also the enormous number of Americans who then side with the barbarians, because they don’t have confidence in their own civilization. They don’t have the belief in their own ideas to actually stand up to this garbage. Lions are reflexively self-critical. What I mean by that is that in the West, there is actual moral merit to admitting your mistakes, to exposing yourself to the shame and ridicule of acknowledging guilt. That is something that good people tend to do. Lions tend to do that because, after all, we live in a civilization, a Judeo-Christian biblically-based civilization, in which repentance is part of life. You’re supposed to acknowledge your sins so you can get stronger and get better. The problem is that the barbarians and their allies are not interested in your proclamations of guilt. They’re not interested except to use it as a way to destroy you. They are interested in you shaming yourself. They want you to shame yourself and kneel before them so they can claim dominance. That’s the entire goal. The co-founder of Doctors Against Genocide, last seen being ushered out of Congress after yelling at Marco Rubio during his confirmation hearings, called for the “taking out” of anyone who opposes his pro-terrorism agenda, saying they “need to be neutralized.” This was in Detroit. Not in Qatar, or Iran. This culminated with Rashida Tlaib, a sitting congresswoman from Michigan, ripping America and saying, “We are in your Congress.” We know. We understand that the barbarian mentality is quite prevalent in our Congress. “They thought they could kill us, rape us, and imprison us, violently, uproot us from our olive tree farms, starve our children to death, and we would disappear. Well, guess what? Now we’re in Congress and we’re in every corner of the United States,” she threatened. “We are just getting started.” Yes, we understand that you have infiltrated Congress. We understand that. We understand there is a wide variety of people who have decided to stand in solidarity with all of this. What is going to tear down the West is not just a West not confronted by the scavengers, but a West that allows the scavengers in; that somehow believes it is an aspect of its own greatness to allow the supremacy of people who wish to destroy its civilization. That is the danger that lies within.

WASHINGTON — The White House is encouraging Democrat mayors across the United States to follow the lead of D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who shared Tuesday that the nation’s capitol will continue to partner with President Donald Trump’s “Safe and Beautiful Task Force” going forward. In a Tuesday press release, the D.C. mayor announced she had issued an order continuing the work of the Safe and Beautiful Emergency Operations Center and task force, sharing that “during and after the Presidential emergency, the SBEOC will manage the District’s response, coordinate centralized communications, and ensure coordination with federal law enforcement to the maximum extent allowable by law within the District.” “The mayor’s fellow Democrats should take note, working with President Trump means safer communities and less crime – no one in their right mind could seriously oppose that,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stressed on Tuesday. Trump’s efforts to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C., have been hugely successful: every night, the federal force in Washington has arrested around 70-80 criminals, many of whom are illegal immigrants. That brought the city’s total arrests to 1,669 since the beginning of operations on Thursday, August 7. One of those arrests was an individual who assaulted a 77-year-old woman and stole her purse, another was for assault with a dangerous weapon, another for assault during a domestic dispute in which the subject choked the victim, and more. The total D.C. arrests include 16 known gang members, including MS-13 and TDA gang members, rescues of 5 missing children, 168 firearms seized, and 50 homeless encampments cleared by multi-agency teams. “President Trump’s efforts to crack down on crime in D.C. have yielded tremendous results in such a short time — violent crime has plummeted and dangerous criminals are being removed from the streets every single night,” Leavitt said Tuesday. “The Trump administration is grateful to continue partnering with Mayor Bowser to make D.C. the safest city in the country,” she added. Trump has set his eyes on Baltimore, Maryland, and Chicago, Illinois, for federal enforcement next. “We’re going in,” he told reporters on Tuesday, asked about deploying federal troops to Chicago and Baltimore. He did not specify when, exactly, the deployments would take place. He also said he would “love” if JB Pritzker called and asked for his help with the National Guard. “We’re going to do it anyway,” he said on Tuesday. “We have the right to do it.”

WASHINGTON — Another deadly school shooting at the hands of a trans-identifying killer is prompting discussions about investigations into transgender domestic terrorism — and what kind of emphasis authorities should put on suspects who are undergoing so-called gender-affirming care. Asked by The Daily Wire if the White House would support a new classification such as transgender domestic terrorism, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday that she would have to “check with the appropriate people.” But since then, The Daily Wire has learned that the White House’s draft national security strategy on domestic terrorism will specifically address transgender violence. “I can report that the new draft U.S. Counterterrorism [plan] addresses the issue,” Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and senior director for counterterrorism, told The Daily Wire, asked whether there should be a transgender domestic terrorism classification. Gorka says the document, Trump 2.0’s domestic counterterrorism plan, is now in the hands of several cabinet members and principals, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, top intelligence officials Tulsi Gabbard, John Radcliffe, and Kash Patel, as well as Stephen Miller, Trump’s influential homeland security adviser. The attacker, Robin Westman, who changed his name from Robert as a teenager, opened fire on Annunciation Catholic Church last week as school children were attending the first daily mass of the school year. Westman killed two children and injured 17 other individuals before killing himself in the parking lot. He left behind a YouTube video showing a lengthy, manifesto-like journal filled with rantings against Jews, Christians, President Donald Trump, and others. It included a transgender flag, images of Jesus Christ on a target, and sketches of Annunciation Catholic Church. His writings demonstrate that he was profoundly mentally ill and regretted his trans-identification. Westman’s actions came only two years after another trans-identifying killer, this one a woman who identified as a man, targeted Christian school children in Nashville. One week later, leaders of Catholic and independent schools in Minnesota had called on Governor Tim Walz to help prevent similar shootings, as The Daily Wire reported earlier this week. They feared that the next transgender-identifying shooter would target one of their schools, but the security funding was never authorized. MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – AUGUST 29: Fr. Last year, a 29-year-old trans-identifying man who went by the name “Mia Bailey” shot and killed both his mother and father in Utah before he was ultimately arrested by police after a dramatic manhunt. Bailey was “transitioning from male to female,” local outlets reported, and told officers of his killing: “I would do it again.” Also in 2024, authorities arrested a 26-year-old Massachusetts man accused of stabbing six people, including four little girls who said he laughed as he stabbed them in a movie theater, and killing another. The New York Post reported at the time that the individual, Jared Ravizza, posted photos online wearing “lipgloss, face glitter and painted pink nails,” described himself as “she” on Instagram, and had recently changed his name from Jared Christian Ravizza Jones to Jared Love Jones. In 2022, authorities arrested a man who traveled from California to Maryland to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — that man, Nicholas Roske, represented himself online as a “trans gamer girl” who went by the name Sophie. Also in 2022, a man who identified as “nonbinary” and went by “they-them” pronouns shot up a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, killing five people before he was captured. And a man who killed five people and injured four others in a Philadelphia shooting spree posted photographs on social media of himself wearing women’s clothing, prompting speculation that he identified as transgender. In 2020, authorities sentenced a trans-identifying teenager to life in prison for killing one student and injuring eight others in yet another transgender school shooting in Colorado. In 2018, a 26-year-old trans-identifying killer who went by Snochia Moseley killed three workers at a Rite Aid warehouse in Aberdeen, Maryland, injuring three others, before taking his own life. Gorka, who said the administration’s counterterrorism strategy addresses the pattern, argues that there was an ideological component to the Annunciation school shooting. “What we should do is we should look at the early warning signals, the signs,” he told CNN’s Brianna Keilar, “we should be providing off-ramps, we should be providing mental health options for these individuals.” The disturbing number of transgender-related crimes has prompted calls for federal authorities to specifically investigate transgender domestic terrorism — or at the bare minimum, to at least track these types of crimes. “There’s simply no good way to track it, and no one’s even trying,” argued The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh. “The federal government doesn’t maintain any kind of database that lists crimes by trans-identifying individuals. They probably should have that database. We obviously need one, but one doesn’t exist at the moment. Media outlets are terrified of stigmatizing the quote-unquote trans community. (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images) Someone has to have noticed the warning signs with Westman, Gorka said on CNN. “I find it hard to believe that an individual goes from getting his mother to sign a change of name certificate, age 17, and then just a handful of years later is mowing down innocent children in a church pew during a Catholic mass, and nobody realized there was a problem,” Gorka argued. “That is what we have to address to save the next children from the next atrocity. It’s not about the sexual proclivities of the individual, it’s the fact that nobody seems to notice a very disturbing pattern towards violence.” “You don’t wake up one morning saying I’m going to do a video on YouTube threatening to kill the president, targeting Jews, targeting children, that doesn’t happen overnight,” he added. “Somebody saw that degradation, somebody saw those mental issues, and said nothing. That is what we have to prevent. The early warning signals must be addressed if children’s lives are to be saved.” Journalist Andy Ngo, who has written extensively about possible trans militant cells in the United States, argues that the FBI should absolutely keep data on a subject’s gender identity, though the proposition might sound “woke” on first suggestion. “It’s an important data point now since biological sex alone may be missing critical information about a criminal’s profile,” he argued to The Daily Wire. “For example, I think it’s relevant for criminologists and the public to know whether gender-diverse people are overrepresented in particular crimes. Convict data from other countries, like England and Wales, and Canada, show trans-identifying males are massively overrepresented as sex criminals.” “We don’t have that federal data in the United States,” said Ngo. “I also think it’s past due for the FBI to develop a new ideological category within violent extremism tracking which monitors and gathers data among trans militant groups, which are all on the left, who call for and organize anti-government violence, domestic terrorism and the violation of others’ civil rights.” Detransitioners previously interviewed by The Daily Wire say that when they sought out so-called “gender-affirming” hormones, such as testosterone and estrogen, they suffered from severe mental health issues, including anorexia, depression, anxiety, and more. Jay W. Richards, a top gender ideology expert and director of the DeVos Center for Human Flourishing at the Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Wire that mental health issues absolutely play a role in transgender-related violence, since young people suffering from gender incongruence “often have other psychological disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, or severe anxiety.” “And since we’re in the middle of the gender ideology craze, we would expect that some disturbed people who attack schools will also identify as ‘trans’ or ‘nonbinary,’” he reflected. “But we need to take seriously the possibility that gender madness, and cross-sex hormones themselves, might be contributing to these tragedies. Gender ideology is a form of collective madness. Why couldn’t it–and the medical interventions associated with it–make some teens worse off psychologically?” Under President Joe Biden’s administration, the FBI was loath to release the manifesto of the trans-identifying Nashville shooter, claiming it would lead to conspiracy theories and inaccuracies. Daring news outlets ultimately published the disturbing entries of that killer, allowing the public to understand that this was a trans-identifying woman who specifically targeted Christians for their faith. This type of action from the Biden Justice Department only emboldened critics of that administration, who argued that the Biden DOJ and FBI were ideologically focused on promoting transgenderism and targeting parents who dissented from gender ideology in schools and Latin Mass Catholics. (Photo by Samuel Corum/Getty Images) “Instead of chasing down traditional Catholics, parents at school board meetings, and thousands of J6 Trump supporters in the biggest operation in history, maybe the FBI should have kept eyes on real domestic threats,” suggested The New York Post’s Miranda Devine last week, as more details emerged about the deadly Annunciation Church shooting. Documents obtained by The Oversight Project indicate that under Biden, the FBI even instituted policies that blocked possible transgender domestic terrorists from investigation “by placing them in a highly protected class,” allowing agents to close complaints if information on the subject is based on an individual’s gender identity. The FBI did not respond to requests for comment for this story.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement was busy over Labor Day weekend, rounding up more “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens. Homeland Security statistics exclusively shared with The Daily Wire show that the weekend arrests include murderers, pedophiles, drug traffickers, and rapists. DHS exclusively shared the names of 15 individuals who were arrested over the weekend all over the United States as part of the president’s enforcement against criminal illegal aliens, fulfilling his campaign promise to make America safer. “While Americans enjoyed the holiday weekend, ICE law enforcement was hard at work arresting barbaric criminal illegal aliens. Some of the worst of the worst arrested include murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and drug traffickers,” a DHS Spokesperson shared with The Daily Wire, adding, “Our brave ICE law enforcement officers never stop working to make America safe again.” Ricardo Duque-Rivas, for example, is a criminal illegal alien from Mexico arrested by ICE Houston over the weekend. His crimes include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Williamson County, Texas. Byron Ortega-Gonzalez, a criminal illegal from El Salvador with a conviction for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim less than 18, was arrested by ICE Chicago. Meanwhile in Utah, ICE Salt Lake City arrested a number of illegals: a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted of attempted criminal homicide in Portland, Oregon, Luis Zamora-Rodriguez, as well as Angel Osorio-Acosta, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela convicted of aggravated assault in Salt Lake City. ICE Salt Lake City also arrested Desideo Cuevas-Vallejo, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted of possession of a controlled substance and multiple DUIs in Idaho. In Massachusetts, ICE Boston arrested a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic named Kevin Perez-Lorenzo, who has convictions in Salem, Massachusetts, for trafficking heroin and trespassing. In Maryland, ICE Baltimore nabbed Theophilis Anwana, a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria convicted of second degree rape in Bel Air, Maryland. And in Colorado, ICE Denver arrested Aymen Abdu, a registered sex offender who is a criminal illegal alien from Sudan convicted of aggravated assault and indecent exposure in Colorado. In Minnesota, ICE St. Paul arrested a criminal illegal alien from Mexico named Blanca Garcia-Cazquez convicted of operating while intoxicated, public intoxication, and two counts of child endangerment in Iowa. And in Washington, ICE Washington arrested Luis Miguel Rodriguez-Gomez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras convicted of many crimes in Virginia, including felony hit and run, DWI, and probation violation in Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as driving without a license, DWI, and possession of schedule I or II drugs in Stafford County, Virginia. In New York, ICE New York City arrested a criminal illegal alien from Urugay named Juan Alfonso-Rodriguez, who had three DWI convictions in Suffolk County, New York. In Georgia, ICE Atlanta arrested criminal illegal alien Jimmy Hoang from Vietnam, convicted of a weapon offense, assault, attempted murder, and driving under the influence in Iowa. ICE San Antonio arrested Daniel Ortega-Pineda for smuggling people through Eagle Pass, Texas. He is a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala. And ICE Chicago arrested Francisco Sanchez-Gamora, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted in Los Angeles of homicide, corporal injury to his spouse, and felony illegal reentry into the United States. And ICE Dallas arrested a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, Romero Guillen, convicted of a hit and run death in New Hanover. Throughout their efforts to stem the border crisis, the Trump administration has arrested more than 352,000 illegal aliens and removed more than 324,000 from the country, DHS told The Daily Wire.
