Teacher Asks His Students “What Do You Think Was The Worst Part About Growing Up In The ’80s?”

Kids born in the 21st century seem to think that anything that happened in the 1900s is ancient history. One teacher asks his student what they thought was the worst part of growing up in the ’80s. The answers make it evident that we should be teaching more history in schools. @7thgradechronicles 1980’s are SO long ago according to 7th Graders. #teachersoftiktok #teacher #teacherlife #teachertok #middleschool ♬ Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) (Remastered) – Eurythmics & Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart The students put their answers on post-it notes, and they were pretty wild. The first answer, “Dealing with tuberculosis,” sets the stage for the remaining doomsayers. “Having to read books to not be bored” hit the heartstrings of this book lover. What a difference 40 years makes in lifestyles. One student thinks people used to drink from the hose for fun. It is sad that they have no idea what it’s like to spend the day outside. Drinking from the hose was a time-honored tradition and the only source of water. It was lifesaving for the kids, who had no choice but to play outside all day. All that outside time must have been good for kids growing up in the ’80s. After all, they had to run uphill to school and then home again. Child labor was a huge problem back then, apparently, with kids having paper routes and part-time after-school jobs. Major hardships for kids growing up in the ’80s include changing TV channels without remotes and not having cell phones. Looking back, it wasn’t such a bad time to grow up. We had fears and concerns, but we also had a lot of reasons to smile. Back then, not having a bike was tantamount to missing a basic necessity. Now, cell phones and remote controls have replaced bikes on the list of necessities. Please share if you remember growing up in the 80s with fondness. Complete List Of Black Flag Band Members

From the scorching beaches of Hermosa Beach emerged one of hardcore punk’s most enduring and turbulent acts, with Black Flag becoming a foundational force that would span decades of lineup changes and musical evolution. Formed in 1976 by guitarist Greg Ginn, the band operated for ten years before disbanding in 1986, during which time they cycled through 16 distinct lineups involving 17 different musicians. The band released numerous studio albums including Damaged, My War, Family Man, Slip It In, Loose Nut, and In My Head, along with several EPs and live recordings through Ginn’s own SST Records. ‘Charlie Kirk would have been president’: Alex Stein remembers the Turning Point USA founder

Among those who loved, respected, and were grateful to Charlie Kirk for everything he did is BlazeTV host Alex Stein — who in a rare moment appears to be all out of jokes.“People don’t understand that Charlie Kirk could have canceled me a million times. A million times. I did some very boneheaded things. And he always stuck with me, even when I was not representing Turning Point in the best light,” Stein says through tears on “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”“I am having trouble right now finding anything positive about this situation because I know there’s people out there, and it’s very true that Charlie’s legacy will live on forever, but the world is significantly worse today without Charlie Kirk than it was yesterday,” he continues.“And Charlie had my back so much, and he didn’t have any motivation other than he actually believed in the First Amendment. He believed in the Second Amendment. He believed in the whole entire Constitution,” he adds. While Stein says that everyone he has met in politics “has some sort of skeleton in their closet,” Kirk was “the closest thing to perfection when it comes to a human being and following God’s commandments and defending the Constitution.”“There’s no better example in the entire universe than Charlie Kirk. And when you are perfect like that and when you don’t have skeletons in your closet and you cannot be blackmailed, they will publicly execute you in front of thousands of people, and they will make you scared on purpose,” Stein says.Kirk was a husband and a father to two children, the founder of Turning Point USA, and only 31 years old.“When you’re a 31-year-old man, father, that has accomplished more than 99.9% of the population, and you’re brutally murdered in front of your wife and two kids, that is a sick world that not even the most sinister Hollywood scriptwriter would write and produce,” Stein says.“And that’s the current reality in which we live in. And nothing feels real. Me sitting here and saying Charlie Kirk is dead does not feel real,” he continues. Not only is his death devastating to those who loved him, listened to him, were inspired by him — but Stein believes this will have a “ripple effect on society” that the leftists cheering on his death do not understand.“Charlie Kirk would have been president of the United States of America,” he says, adding, “No doubt in my mind.”Want more from Alex Stein? To enjoy more of Alex's culture jamming, comedic monologues, skits, and street segments, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
