Richie Sambora says he will comeback if Bon Jovi fix voice issue

Bon Jovi is not on the road since 2022 due to Jon Bon Jovi's voice issues, he even underwent a procedure that year to alleviate loose vocal cords. He is still recovering from that surgery and as he revealed in interviews this year, the process is taking longer than expected. So there is still no way to predict when the band will be back on the road. In an interview with The Allison Hagendorf Show (Transcribed by Ultimate Classic Rock), the guitarist Richie Sambora, who left the band in 2013, said that if Jon gets his voice back he will rejoin the group to perform. He also revealed that he recently visited the singer. Richie Sambora says he will comeback if Bon Jovi fix voice issue "The fans would just love it. It's not finance (standing in the way). It has nothing to do with that. The world could use it. But, as Jon said, he's been having problems with his voice. And now he had that operation with some plastic thing in his larynx. And it's an iffy thing at best. I don't know if there's anybody that has ever had that be successful. I'm not really sure about that.” “Physiologically, it doesn't seem almost possible. Where your brain teaches this plastic thing how to (work). Almost like you've gotta relearn speech in a way. If he gets (his voice) back, I'll go play," Richie Sambora said. Since Sambora's departure, Bon Jovi released four studio albums, the most recent one being "Forever" in 2024. He was replaced by the guitarist Phil X, who had previously worked with bands like Triumph, Powder, Phil X & The Drills. Meanwhile Sambora released two EPs and one album as RSO, the duo he formed with his wife Orianthi, who is also a famous guitarist who worked with names like Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3OGJ-ddbRs&pp=ygULcnNvIHNhbWJvcmE%3DThe post Richie Sambora says he will comeback if Bon Jovi fix voice issue appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Ozzy Osbourne says Tony Iommi is the best guitarist he played with

Black Sabbath was formed in Birmingham, England back in 1968 by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward. They simply created Heavy Metal music, influenced countless generations of artists all over the world and became one of the best-selling bands of all time. By the late 70s, due to addiction problems the band fired Osbourne and he launched a successful solo career and he had many incredible musicians in his solo band over the decades. Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee and Zakk Wylde are some of the most famous guitarists, for example, that he worked with as a solo act. But in an interview for his new podcast "The Madhouse Chronicles", the singer said that the Black Sabbath co-founder and guitarist Tony Iommi was the best one he worked with. Ozzy noted that although other guitarists copied note by note the Sabbath songs, they never really played exactly like Iommi can play. Ozzy Osbourne says Tony Iommi is the best guitarist he played with “That’s the thing about a band like Black Sabbath: we came from the streets and we knew our stuff. Tony Iommi was, and is, the best fucking guitar player I’ve ever played with.” “It’s like the Beatles, they wouldn’t have been the same if any one of them had played (in another band), or the Rolling Stones if Mick Jagger left." “I’ve played (Sabbath songs) 'Paranoid', 'Children Of The Grave' and 'War Pigs' (with other guitarists). They do the notes, but it’s not the same! (Although American players) play too fast, Tony Iommi, for whatever reason, is fucking great," Ozzy Osbourne said. Iommi is the only member of Black Sabbath who was part of all the albums the group released over the decades. He kept the band alive when Ozzy, Geezer and Bill were no longer part of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDELg7qaFyw&pp=ygUNbmV2ZXIgc2F5IGRpZQ%3D%3DThe post Ozzy Osbourne says Tony Iommi is the best guitarist he played with appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

The bassist that Rush’s Geddy Lee said is overlooked

Although Geddy Lee is also a singer and keyboardist, he is primarily recalled as a really respected bassist, which was a fundamental part of the Canadian power-trio Rush. They became one of the most influential bands of all time, which mixed Progressive Rock and Hard Rock, selling an estimated amount of more than 40 million records worldwide. Over the decades, Lee talked about many of his peers and even once said that in his opinion, The Beatle Paul McCartny is really overlooked as a bassist. Why Paul McCartney is overlooked as a bassist according to Geddy Lee Since he became one of the most successful and influential songwriters in the history of music, Paul McCartney is not always remembered primarily as a bassist, but as songwriter. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine back in 2020, Geddy Lee said that Paul is really overlooked as a bassist, since he is a really melodic player. "(McCartney) gets overlooked as a bassist, but as a pop bassist goes, he's such a melodic player. And you're talking about a guy who wasn't originally the bass player for the band... He adapted, of course, and he picked it up. I just find his story really interesting, as a bass player. So he comes at the instrument from a much more melodic place, and you really hear that in a lot of Beatle music." "And if you listen to 'Taxman,' or if you listen to 'Come Together,' and a range of music in between, that bass part is always so round. It's always so bouncy and melodic. I think that's really no small part of the infectious nature of Beatles songs. It really added a great element to those songs." He continued: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMdcE8jdz70&pp=ygUOdGF4bWFuIGJlYXRsZXM%3D "I think he was sort of subconsciously working his way into my psyche as a bass player. Although the style of music that I played wasn't The Beatles style of music. I did have great respect for them. We used to play a version of a song called 'Bad Boy' that was fashioned sort of after a song that the Beatles did. The Beatles did a cover of that as well. So we all listened to the Beatles... I was always respectful of what Paul McCartney brought to the Beatles. Not only as a singer - but as a bass player," Geddy Lee said. For Geddy, McCartney wrote many bass lines that were unusual and inventive considering The Beatles made pop music. He said that in an interview available on Youtube (Transcribed by Rock and Roll Garage). "Paul McCartney, I was a huge fan of his bass lines. Some of The Beatles bass lines are really inventive, really unusual and quite in their own way, considering it's 'Pop' quite busy. They are really changing the song with what they're doing." "So I was always drawn to the bass players that had a sound different than your typical vroomy bass sound. Paul McCartney and Chris Squire are such great bass players. They write melodies and they play these melodies rather than just play," Geddy Lee said. Paul McCartney told Geddy that he should reunite with Alex Lifeson and tour as Rush Rush finished their final tour in 2015 and in 2019 they lost a really important member, their drummer and main lyricist Neil Peart. Since then the fans believed the band would probably never reunite again. But that already happened twice during special occasions, like for example the Taylor Hawkins tribute show organized by Foo Fighters. Besides Geddy and Alex playing Rush songs, many other artists were part of the tribute. One of them was Paul McCartney and he had the chance to meet Alex and Geddy. He got to know their music and told them that they should get together again and tour. The post The bassist that Rush’s Geddy Lee said is overlooked appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Biden Unveils $3.3B Microsoft Data Center Project On Former FoxConn Site

President Joe Biden has just announced that Microsoft is planning to build a $3.3 billion data center in southeastern Wisconsin, right on the site where Foxconn, an electronics manufacturer company backed by Trump that was supposed to make a $10 billion investment in 2017 but was scaled back by several fold, is located. "I'm here to talk about a great comeback story in America," said Biden as he talked about the planned investment of Microsoft to about 200 persons at the Gateway Technical...

'They dug a hole with golden shovels': Biden slams Trump for failed Foxconn 'con' deal

President Joe Biden on Wednesday took a shot at former President Donald Trump while touting the construction of a new data center in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. The data center in question is being built by Microsoft in the same area where Trump once pledged electronics manufacturer Foxconn would build "the eighth wonder of the world" and usher in a slate of well-paid blue-collar jobs. However, Trump's promise of a new manufacturing hub in the state fell through, as...
