'Good Parenting'? : Tex. Court Permits Un-Checked Trans 'Care' for Kids

This is the absolute furthest thing from what’s in the best interest of kids. On Friday‚ just two days before the left obnoxiously celebrated Transgender Day of Visibility instead of Easter‚ a Texas appeals court upheld a lower court’s injunction blocking the state from investigating parents who help their kids transition with “gender-affirming care.” The decision is contrary to Governor Greg Abbot’s plea to stop these procedures and hold parents accountable for abusing their kids. Back in February 2022‚ Abbott ordered Texas Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS) to “carry out child abuse investigations into families whose children were receiving puberty-blocking treatments‚” U.S. News reported. Shortly after‚ a lower court imposed an injunction to block Abbott’s move insisting that “the probes endangered children and their families.” Now‚ more than two years later‚ the appeals court in Austin‚ Tex.‚ agreed with that lower court and insisted that parents who abuse their children via puberty-blockers‚ cross-sex hormones and gender mutilation surgeries shouldn’t be investigated for child abuse. The lower court‚ back in 2022 insisted that Abbott’s care for children and their well-being could cause “irreparable injury” to families.  If you want to talk about “irreparable injury‚” look at the irreversible‚ risky and life threatening procedures and surgeries the left likes putting kids through in order to affirm a delusional sense of identity. That’s the definition of “irreparable injury!” “This is a much-needed victory for trans youth and those who love and support them‚” the American Civil Liberties Union wrote on X. Similarly‚ a group called Gender Champion‚ celebrated the verdict and insisted that these harmful medical procedures are “gender-empowering medical treatments.” A group called Love to the Max even released an official statement on its advocacy website. Here’s what the group insisted: Today’s ruling by the Third Court of Appeals is a tremendous relief for our family and for the thousands of families like ours across Texas. The Texas Department of Family Protective Services‚ at the behest of the Governor and Attorney General‚ cannot investigate loving families of transgender youth for doing nothing more than loving our kids unconditionally and providing them appropriate care in all aspects of their lives. That’s not child abuse. That’s good parenting‚ full stop. Nothing about harming your kids in these ways signifies “good parenting.” Full stop. Luckily‚ some agreed with that sentiment and recognize how abusive it is to chemically or surgically harm your children. “Just to be clear‚ this means that if a parent with Munchausen’s by Proxy wants to sterilize their kid‚ or give them hormones that will prevent them from ever having a complete adult life the authorities may not act. Okay…that’s an interesting ruling‚” a user wrote in response to the news. A different user wrote‚ “This is not a win for the youth‚ just the parent groomers and doctors profiting from social manipulation and lies” and one more called out the obvious when they wrote‚ “Injecting children with cancer causing synthetic hormones isn’t gender affirming care.” Telling your son he’s your daughter is abusive. Stopping his body from going through the natural process of puberty is abusive. Giving your son estrogen so he grows boobs is abusive. Cutting off his balls to turn them into a make-shift vagina is abusive and to think that these procedures are anything other than abusive is insane. Prayers go out to the kids in Texas who’ll be subject to abuse like this by their parents.

CNN Women Praise Burgum PR Man for Being 'Evolved' on the Press and Female Coaches

Aww: isn't he sweet? Good boy! On Monday's CNN This Morning‚ CNN's Dana Bash and Kasie Hunt gave Republican Lance Trover a pat on the head for being "evolved" about the supposedly disparate press treatment of male and female sports coaches. The matter arose in the context of a long Washington Post profile of LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey. After noting that the article "details her kind of pugnacious coaching personality‚"  Hunt skeptically wondered: "Would we talk about that with a male coach? I don't know." Republican strategist Lance Trover‚ who recently toiled for Doug Burgum for President‚ replied:  "I completely agree with you  . . . I read it and I thought‚ man‚ would a man have gotten the same treatment‚ right?" That warmed the feminist cockles of Bash's heart.  But first‚ she had to double-check Trover's truthfulness: "Did you really read that and think to yourself‚ would this be written about a man?" When Trover confirmed that he actually did‚ "absolutely‚" think that‚ Bash responded: "That is very 2024. The fact that you did that. I mean‚ I want to be hopeful to think that other men are as evolved as you are. But the fact that you did is pretty cool." Hunt pitched in: "Yeah‚ for sure: props for that." So Hunt and Bash are skeptical that articles profiling the pugnacious style of male coaches would be written? Hello?  For starters‚ for every such Mulkey article‚ there have surely been many more ripping the late Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight for his pugnacious/combative style. Even upon his death last year‚ prominent sports columnist  Mitch Albom wrote that the normal rule of not speaking ill about the dead should be waived!   Indeed‚ trashing the allegedly unpleasant personalities of male coaches has become a sport in itself‚ the subject of many listicle articles‚ as in: 20 Most Despicable Coaches‚ The 20 Angriest Coaches in Sports‚ and The 10 angriest coaches in college basketball. And every single coach mentioned in those articles was of the XY chromosome ilk. To offer some examples‚ would the names of these oft-reviled coaches ring a bell with Hunt and Bash: Bill Belichick‚ Lane Kiffin‚ Nick Saban‚ Billy Martin‚ Woody Hayes‚ Earl Weaver? The patronizing condescension of the CNN pair was off the charts. Imagine the feminist outrage if a couple of male sportswriters had similarly condescendingly congratulated a female political operative on her understanding of‚ say‚ the intricacies of the infield fly rule? Note: Bash even managed to somehow work in a shot at Donald Trump‚ saying that Mulkey's approach of preemptively criticizing the WaPo article before its publication represented the "Trumpization" of dealing with such situations. Here's the transcript. CNN This Morning 4/1/24 6:54 am EDT KASIE HUNT: Mulkey has been out there‚ Lance‚ basically pushing back ahead of a story that came out over the weekend which was in the Washington Post‚ was a long profile of her and looking at her personality in away that clearly Mulkey thought‚ she ahead of time called it a hit piece‚ attacks the journalist in the Washington Post. I think if you read the story‚ I'm not sure that the things that she said might be in there ended up being in the story. It was kind of a portrait of how Mulkey came to be. But‚ you know‚ I kind of go back and forth‚ because on the one hand‚ it details her kind of pugnacious coaching personality. Would we talk about that with a male coach? I don't know. On the other hand‚ we are getting a massive profile in a national publication of a women's basketball coach. And I actually think that's pretty good. LANCE TROVER: I completely agree with you on both counts. I sometimes‚ I read it and I thought‚ man‚ would a man have gotten the same treatment‚ right? But at the same time‚ it's bringing attention to it. I also think this is a lesson‚ PR 101 in 2024. Get in front of a story that's coming that you think is bad‚ and if you don't like what's in it‚ get out there and talk about it. Look what happened. She got a [inaudible.] DANA BASH: I mean‚ it is the Trumpization of the way to approach--and I'm sure you think about this in your line of work all the time. But the way to approach something that's coming is just to get out there and own it‚ and‚ frankly‚ appropriate it and‚ or to try to quash it in this case. I just want to co-sign‚ as the kids say‚ what you said about the fact that we're talking about women's basketball and women's sports in general. I mean this is really great. HUNT: I freaking love it.  BASH: It really great. It's the Caitlin Clark of it all. It's -- LULU GARCIA-NAVARRO: They're making money. They have fans. They have controversies [laughter]. HUNT: It's happening‚ it's happening. Guess what? It's just like men's‚ but again‚ I mean‚ look Lance‚ I'm sorry‚ you're the you're the man at this table for TROVER: I'm all in! BASH: What Lance said‚ what Lance said: that you actually. Did you really read that and think to yourself‚ would this be written about a man? TROVER: Yes‚ I did. Yeah‚ absolutely. BASH: First of all‚ that is very 2024. The fact that you did that. I mean‚ I want to be hopeful to think that other men are as evolved as you are. But the fact that you did is pretty cool. HUNT: Yeah‚ no‚ for sure. Props for that.

Guyana's president owns BBC journalist in viral clip for lecturing him about climate change: 'Let me stop you right there'

Guyana President Mohamed Irfaan Ali is going viral for shutting down a BBC journalist who tried to lecture him about climate change.Just a decade ago‚ nearly half of Guyana's population lived in poverty. But the country's economic fortunes changed in 2015 when significant deposits of oil — billions of barrels' worth of oil‚ in fact — were discovered off the coast of the South American country. Now‚ Guyana's economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world. But in a recent interview with Ali‚ BBC journalist Stephen Sackur tried to scandalize Guyana's economic prosperity by invoking climate change. He said:Let's take a big-picture look at what's going on here: Over the next decade‚ two decades‚ it is expected that there will be $150 billion worth of oil and gas extracted off your coast. It's an extraordinary figure. But think of it in practical terms. That means‚ according to many experts‚ more than 2 billion tons of carbon emissions will come from your seabed from those reserves and be released into the atmosphere.President Ali‚ however‚ refused to be the subject of Sackur's virtue-signaling."Let me stop you right there‚" Ali said."Do you know that Guyana has a forest‚ forever‚ that is the size of England and Scotland combined? A forest stores 19.5 gigatons of carbon‚ a forest that we have kept alive?" he continued."Does that give you the right to release all of this carbon?" Sackur interjected. But Ali wasn't playing games."Does that give you the right to lecture us on climate change?" he shot back. "I am going to lecture you on climate change because we have kept this forest alive that stores 19.5 gigatons of carbon that you enjoy‚ that the world enjoys‚ that you don't pay us for‚ that you don’t value‚ that you don't see a value in‚ that the people of Guyana has kept alive."Guess what? We have in the lowest deforestation rate in the world. And guess what? Even with our greatest exploration of the oil and gas resource we have now‚ we will still be net zero‚ Guyana will still be net zero with all our exploration‚" Ali continued. At that point‚ Sackur still tried to interrupt‚ but Ali was not finished speaking."This is a hypocrisy that exists in the world‚" he said. "The world — in the last 50 years — has lost 65% of all its biodiversity. We have kept our biodiversity. Are you valuing it? Are you ready to pay for it? When is the developed world going to pay for it? Or are you in the pockets of those who have damaged the environment? Are you and your system in the pockets of those who destroyed the environment through the Industrial Revolution and now lecturing us? Are you in their pockets? Are you paid by them?"Sackur never answered any of Ali's questions. Instead‚ he shifted the interview to a new topic. — (@) Like Blaze News? Trailer full of hundreds of Bibles intentionally set on fire in front of Tennessee church on Easter Sunday

Law enforcement officials are investigating a "suspicious" incident on Easter Sunday in front of a Tennessee church‚ where a trailer full of hundreds of Bibles was intentionally set on fire. Around 6 a.m. on Easter Sunday‚ the security cameras at the Global Vision Church reportedly caught a man dropping off a trailer in the middle of the intersection‚ blocking the entrance to the church.A man reportedly then set hundreds of Bibles on fire in front of the church in Mount Juliet‚ Tennessee. The church's pastor‚ Greg Locke‚ said in a statement on Facebook: "There was a lady that had driven through the night to get to our church and she was in the parking lot and was able to get the police officers here quickly‚ but it was quite the scene to wake up to on my first morning back from Israel."The Mt. Juliet Police Department and Fire Department responded to the trailer fire and extinguished the blaze. The Bible fire caused temporary road closures. There were no injuries from the trailer fire‚ and the church property did not incur any damage. Easter Sunday services at the Global Vision Church were not interrupted. Locke told the Tennessean‚ "It did not‚ nor will it stop us. It was cleaned up in time for people to drive into the parking lot. We had a full house and a marvelous service."The Wilson County Sheriff's Office noted that the trailer fire was "suspicious" and done "intentionally." Police did not provide a motive for the Bible burning or if the church was the intended target. Police said no other specific details could be provided at this time in an effort to "uphold the integrity of the ongoing investigation‚" but updates would be shared at "the appropriate juncture."Locke declared‚ "It was 100 percent directed at (Global Vision Bible Church). It blocked the entrance to our campus and the fact that it was an entire load of Bibles is rather conclusive proof that is was most assuredly directed at us."Locke told WKRN-TV‚ "It was strange because he [the suspect] had his blinkers on and he scotched the wheels and everything. He was very meticulous‚ so he had to be very courageous to do what he did. We’ve had people do things to our building‚ we’ve been vandalized a number of times‚ hence why we have to have security‚ but never 200 Bibles being burned. That’s a pretty rebellious statement towards the church."The pastor proclaimed‚ "If you think Christianity is not under attack more than ever before in the United States of America‚ you have not been paying attention."“What people think many times is going to stop us‚ really just encourages us‚ in a weird way‚ to know that we’re doing what’s right‚” Locke stated. Police are urging anyone with information or footage of the incident to contact the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 615-444-1459.Last week‚ Locke appeared on "The Steve Deace Show" airing on BlazeTV to have a discussion about faith. Critics savagely mock 'bystander intervention cards' from Bay Area transit system to be handed out amid harassment situations

Critics are brutally mocking "bystander intervention cards" touted by Northern California's Bay Area Rapid Transit system for use during harassment situations.BART on Friday posted instructions on X about the cards: "You can ask any station agent for BART’s free bystander intervention cards‚ which you can use if you’re experiencing or witnessing harassment in stations and trains."The post includes a video featuring two female college students who ride BART and explain how the cards work. When riders are being harassed‚ they can hand out the "You got me?" cards as a request for help; when riders believe they are witnessing others being harassed‚ they can hand out the "I got you" cards to the perceived victim: — (@) One student in the video says the cards "give me a concrete way to deal with an unsafe situation. I'm not very equipped to deal with them on my own‚ and so these cards give me a sense of community and a sense of support."The second student says "especially for young college students and for youth‚ I think these cards are really accessible. It just gives a really easy way to either help someone or to ask for help without having to do much. If everyone has one then we'll just be able to support each other so much better and feel safer."Oh‚ and they're free. Here's the primary post with the video: — (@) How are people reacting? As you might expect‚ critics haven't been too kind to BART and its "bystander intervention cards." As of Monday afternoon‚ BART's primary post is getting ratioed at two-to-one rate. Here are but a few of the many blistering reactions:"Are children running BART? This is a shamefully juvenile approach to crime. Why don’t you hang 'crime-free zone' signs? Worked so well in those drug-free zones. Wish I could fire who is behind this‚" one commenter wrote."When you see someone getting stabbed‚ hand them an 'I got you' card and wait for them to ask you to call someone‚" another user quipped."Have you tried doing an interpretive dance to stop attackers yet?" another commenter wondered."Are you f***ing kidding me?" another user asked."This is what happens when sociology majors are given power to make decisions‚" another commenter observed."This is parody‚ right?" another user queried."Clearly you guys posted this 2 days early‚" another commenter noted. "April 1st is a not here yet.""Here are the rules for men‚" another user stated. "1. Help the woman being attacked. 2. If you injure the attacker‚ you go to jail.""This is not real right!? This is a sketch comedy routine right? Cause unless those cards 'magically' transport you out of the situation then they are useless! And BTW‚ who can up with this idea? What [clown] got paid money to come up with this!?" another commenter asked. Then there's this gem: Image source: XAnything else?BART added in its post that the bystander intervention cards "were created as part of BART’s Not One More Girl campaign‚ which encourages safety through bystander support and awareness‚ especially for girls and gender-expansive youth."Like Blaze News? A small town’s battle against the spirit of the age

A small town’s battle against the spirit of the age

Now that our nation’s “devout Catholic” president has replaced Easter on his calendar with the Transgender Day of Visibility‚ it’s important that we understand what our options are for moving forward. Now that pro-Palestinian protesters interrupted the Easter vigil mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City (the second time that venerable house of worship has been desecrated by the spirit of the age already this year)‚ it’s important that we understand what our options are for moving forward. A minority of local and state officials‚ having bound themselves to the spirit of the age‚ are determined to degrade the soul of a community. Now that a Texas judge has ruled on Easter Sunday that the illegal aliens who overran National Guard troops at the southern border must be released from jail‚ it’s important that we understand what our options are for moving forward. Now that Tennessee Pastor Greg Locke‚ whom I recently interviewed on my show‚ woke up Easter Sunday morning to a trailer full of Bibles that were set on fire‚ it’s important that we understand what our options are for moving forward. It’s time to ask yourself: What are you prepared to do? Jesus is indeed risen. But are we ready and willing to carry out Matthew 28 to the ends of the earth‚ or is checking our next box on the comfort list a greater commission for us than ever before? You’ll recall that in my last column I wrote about the Kentucky border town of Metropolis‚ Illinois‚ and how the woke mob had forced its lust for pornographic books there by way of firing the library director‚ who wouldn’t cooperate with the evil. I told you then that there was no place left to hide in America‚ and I meant it. Well‚ turns out Metropolis Mayor Don Canada has no intention of hiding. He proceeded to remove three of the library board members — including board president Rhonda James — for not being able to verify that they are even supposed to be on the board in the first place. “My only job is to appoint to the board‚ and now somehow I’m getting blamed for all this‚” Canada said. “But I did my homework‚ and now I’m going to clean it up. We give the library money. We’ve increased their funding. We pay their utilities. I believe the city has supported the library 100 percent‚ and it is upsetting they won’t support the people who supported them.” According to Canada‚ there is no evidence in the public record showing that the members of the library board he just removed followed the proper reappointment procedures when their terms began in 2021 — just weeks after Canada himself had won election to his office. In fact‚ other seats on the library board have opened‚ and the board president has not been in contact with the mayor for months. For a little bit of insight into the kind of person Rhonda James truly is‚ consider her response to a local radio interviewer's question. When asked whether she was responsible for getting Illinois Democrats to recruit out-of-state protesters in a bid to have the library director fired‚ she said‚ “Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn’t.” That isn’t sketchy at all‚ is it? Meanwhile‚ the Illinois secretary of state has responded to Canada’s dismissal of James and two other library board members. Canada’s actions‚ Alexi Giannoulias said‚ “should frighten and insult all Americans who believe in the freedom of speech and democracy. Retaliating against local library trustees‚ who are dedicated to serving their community assisting children in learning‚ is unacceptable.” OK‚ groomer. Let’s recall what got all of this started. The controversy began with the library board’s decision to adopt a broad interpretation of “assisting children in learning‚” which led to pornographic material being introduced into the community under the guise of the Library Bill of Rights. A minority of local and state officials‚ having bound themselves to the spirit of the age‚ are determined to degrade the soul of a community in a manner no less depraved than the examples laid out earlier in this column. The Metropolis City Council has put off a resolution to approve the mayor’s decision. The council resolved last week to revisit and review the situation later this month. We all know that the narcissistic library board president and her mob of willing Democrats will spend the next few weeks calling people names and threatening more protests in order to scare both the city council and the community in general to bow to their wishes. In fact‚ Canada reported that James is the only one truly engaged in censorship by refusing to follow Robert’s Rules of Order and limiting other library board members’ ability to speak. “I think they are playing a dirty game to push an agenda‚” Canada said. “So much of this wasn’t done with proper order. If we are going to move forward‚ we need a fresh start.” That’s true. But we are dealing with enemies who are content to publicly denigrate church services‚ burn Bibles‚ give Easter to the drag queens‚ and release Barabbas at the border. The people of Metropolis have a big decision to make. Do they plan on exorcising such demons with prejudice‚ or will they keep dancing blindly with the devil by the pale moonlight?
