The Biden administration has set out to encourage gender transition attempts among federal bureaucrats‚ establishing gender transition support plans‚ holding trainings pushing Left-wing gender ideology‚ and even telling federal employees that referring to someone by biologically accurate pronouns is discrimination. In a document published by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)‚ effectively the human resources department of the federal government‚ the Biden administration commanded federal agencies to embed “gender identity inclusion practices” throughout the bureaucracy. ​​Titled “Guidance Regarding Gender Identity and Inclusion in the Federal Workplace‚” the document was published on “transgender day of visibility‚” March 31‚ and it instructs agencies to “take actions to ensure that all Federal employees have their respective gender identities accurately reflected and identified in the workplace.” The document specifically tells the federal bureaucracy to ensure that name and pronoun changes are respected‚ warning that those who use “incorrect” terms might “contribute to an unlawful hostile work environment.” It also directs agencies to host gender identity trainings‚ saying they should “take steps to implement or increase the availability of training programs on gender identity and inclusion in the Federal workplace for employees‚ managers‚ and leadership.” While the OPM document further formalizes the Biden administration’s support of transgenderism‚ numerous federal agencies have already established policies to encourage transgenderism in the federal workforce. The Department of the Interior (DOI)‚ for example‚ published a document called “Supporting Gender Transition in the Federal Workplace” that lays out how the federal agency will offer support to bureaucrats who are attempting to change their sex. The guide includes a list of gender identity vocabulary terms and instructs employees to avoid using someone’s “dead name‚” a term for the name one used before attempting to change sexes. “Repeated‚ intentional refusal to use the employee’s affirming … or repeated reference to the employee’s dead name/gender/pronouns … is contrary to the goal of treating all employees with dignity and respect‚” the document reads. “Such intentional conduct could constitute unlawful discrimination.” All departments are encouraged to “establish‚ in collaboration with their supervisor/manager‚ a support team … to assist in the development and implementation of their Workplace Gender Transition Plan.” The DOI has also set out to celebrate transgenderism through trainings and activities. The Daily Wire recently revealed that the agency celebrated “transgender day of visibility” by screening a documentary calling for more queer marine biologists. It also hosted a “Trans 101” employee training course in December. The course was led by Ben Greene‚ a “transgender advocate and educator” who discussed “the issues that the transgender community is facing in the world and workforce‚ and what individuals and organizations can do to create a safe‚ supportive environment for all people.” The National Security Agency (NSA) has implemented its own policies on “misgendering‚” effectively prohibiting its employees from using biologically correct pronouns when referencing someone who is attempting to change sexes. “Intentional misgendering shall not be permitted or tolerated‚” one 2021 document from the NSA reads. Deepstaria looks like a cross between a ghost emoji and a floating plastic bag‚ but don’t be tempted to underestimate this shape-shifting jellyfish: it’s among the largest and strangest invertebrate predators of the deep sea. There are two recognized species of Deepstaria – D. enigmatica and D. reticulum – named after the US research sub Deepstar 4000 that first discovered the genus in the 1960s.On the taxonomic family tree‚ they are part of a class called Scyphozoa‚ which are typically referred to as true jellyfish. However‚ Deepstaria has some significant differences from their other jelly relatives. Jellyfish typically have spindly tentacles with a relatively small bell – yet Deepstaria is the opposite‚ featuring very small tentacles and a large bell that stretches like a parachute. The extensive bell of Deepstaria features a distinct geometric mesh pattern‚ which are the channels of its gastrovascular system that deliver nutrients around its body. Many jellyfish live in groups known as shoals or swarms because they tend to be caught in ocean currents‚ but Deepstaria appear to be lone rangers that live a relatively solitary existence in the murky depths of the ocean's abyss.The jellies live in the bathypelagic region of the world's oceans at depths ranging from 600 to 1‚750 meters (1‚968 to 5‚741 feet). This part of the ocean is known as the midnight zone because it has little to no natural light and features cold‚ salty water that hovers around 4°C (39°F).    In 2018‚ scientists made a rare live observation of a D. enigmatica near Mexico's Pacific coast and reported that it measured 68.3 by 55.7 centimeters (~27 by 22 inches). Although this was believed to be a relatively large individual‚ Deepstaria jellyfish are large for deepsea invertebrate predators.One of the most remarkable observations came in 2019 when scientists onboard the EV Nautilus research vessel captured video footage (above) of a Deepstaria jellyfish in the Pacific Remote Islands National Marine Monument.Amid many “woahs” and “oooooohs”‚ the researchers noted that a resident red isopod was living inside the blanket-like bell. It’s uncertain whether this relationship is symbiotic (as in‚ both parties are benefiting from the alliance) or parasitic (a one-sided friendship that only benefits the isopod). The isopod remains protected from predators inside the jellyfish bell‚ plus it likely obtains nutrients from its body‚ but it is unclear what benefit the jellyfish is gaining. Nevertheless‚ small crustaceans and other creatures are often found living inside the bell of Deepstaria‚ suggesting this unlikely bond runs deep.

The Curiosity rover has discovered a constant stream of methane‚ a known gas emitted by living things on Earth‚ escaping from beneath the planet’s surface in Gale Crater on Mars. It appears at different times of the day‚ and its level also varies from season to season. Scientists are confused about what is hidden in the depths of the Red Planet‚ because methane on Earth is emitted by living things. The results of the new study were published in the journal JGR Planets. Methane is a well-known molecule on Earth that consists of one carbon atom and four hydrogen atoms. Methane is usually a sign of life‚ because animals release this gas after digesting food. Although real extraterrestrial life has not yet been discovered on Mars‚ scientists still believe that the source of methane is hidden somewhere under the surface‚ but what this source is remains a mystery. The study authors conducted an experiment using simulated Martian soil to find out what happens on Mars. According to scientists‚ over a long period of time‚ salts called perchlorates rise from the bowels of the planet to the surface covered with dust‚ which are called perchlorates and there are a lot of them on Mars. These are toxic substances‚ and they are locked in ice under the surface of the Red Planet. Because Mars has a very thin atmosphere‚ perchlorates evaporate very slowly. When this salt penetrates the Martian dust‚ some of it remains there. When enough salt accumulates in the dust‚ it forms a kind of shell. At the same time‚ when salt steam comes out‚ methane also comes out. But scientists don’t yet know where it comes from. The study authors suggest that methane may be trapped in solidified salt and only escapes as temperatures on Mars rise. Perhaps the source of methane is extraterrestrial living organisms‚ or maybe something else‚ but in any case‚ this source is hidden below the surface. As the experiment showed‚ it takes from 3 to 13 days to create a salt shell in Martian soil‚ and even a low concentration of perchlorates allows you to create solid salt. This shell can retain methane for a long time. When the temperature on Mars rises‚ the shell is destroyed and methane enters the atmosphere‚ where it was recorded by the rover’s instruments.
