Public school WIN: Ten Commandments now REQUIRED in all Louisiana classrooms

The state of Louisiana has just become the first state to require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms. Those who reject the change are claiming this violates separation of church and state as well as the First Amendment. While Allie Beth Stuckey believes the negative reaction is “understandable,” she calls it the “wrong way to think about this story.” The legislation was signed into law by Louisiana's Republican Gov. Jeff Landry last Wednesday. The law requires a posterized display of the Ten Commandments in a large, easily readable font in all public classrooms, from kindergarten to state-funded universities. Each poster will be paired with a four paragraph context statement explaining how the Ten Commandments were a prominent part of American public education for almost three centuries. Opponents, like the ACLU, claim the law will “keep children who have different beliefs from feeling safe at school.” “The ACLU is extremely communist in nature, and it consistently is on the side of opposing constitutional rights if that means defending progressivism. They are much closer to progressive ideologues than they are to constitutionalists,” Stuckey explains. While detractors claim the law violates the separation of church and state, Stuckey notes that “the separation of church and state is a principle, a concept, that is not found in the Constitution.” “It’s not found in the Declaration of Independence,” she continues. “That phrase is found in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Danbury Baptist in 1802.” “It is a principle that was established, that was acknowledged really, more for the protection of the church, so that the state would not pray upon the church, more than the church praying upon the state,” she adds. While she disagrees with the detractors, she has a theory as to why they’re so against the move. “They do not want students to think that America is exceptional, that it was based on really good, timeless, tested, and true values, that it was Christianity that led the charge of abolition, that it was Christianity that forged Western civilization, that established the concept of human rights, that completely upended the godless, pagan, cruel, human sacrificing world and created every good thing that we have today,” Stuckey explains. Rather, they want to “teach kids to be sexually deviant, communist activists.” “It’s really not about the First Amendment at all, because these same people, who are so concerned about the First Amendment when it comes to this, I mean, they would arrest you for misgendering a dude so fast,” she adds. 'America's Most Wanted' host warns border crisis is fueling child sex trafficking: 'Incredible travesty'

'America's Most Wanted' host warns border crisis is fueling child sex trafficking: 'Incredible travesty'

"America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh recently warned that the border crisis is fueling child sex trafficking, Fox News Digital reported.During a red-carpet event earlier this month, Walsh discussed how Mexican cartels and Central American gangs are working together to turn a profit trafficking unaccompanied minors. He explained that parents are paying criminal organizations to take their children under the guise that they will safely transport them to the U.S. to find work opportunities.'Who took those kids? We know who took them — sex traffickers.'"We need people battling because of what's happening at the wall," Walsh told Fox News Digital. "What's happening at the border is an incredible travesty.""The cartels bring [children] to the border. They push them across. They get paid by the parents who think they're getting their daughter or son a job in America. They're not," Walsh explained. "They get them across the border, the cartels, then the gangs take over — MS-13, the Venezuelan gangs, violent. And those little girls and some little boys are being trafficked. They move every couple days.""These gangs from Central America — horrible," Walsh continued. "We finally got the Homeland Security, [Alejandro] Mayorkas, to admit that they have pushed across 78,000 unaccompanied minors since November. Where did those kids go? Who took those kids? We know who took them — sex traffickers. So our work's going to be cut out big-time."According to Customs and Border Protection data, Border Patrol agents at the southern border have processed more than 82,000 unaccompanied minors from October 2023 through May 2024.Walsh's son and cohost, Callahan, told Fox News Digital, "America's the greatest country in the world, but our crime rates are high.""'America's Most Wanted' gives communities and individuals a way to turn those bad guys in without having to call the cops," he stated. "Not everybody wants to call the cops. People don't want to give their name and be dragged into a courtroom."The television series has led to 1,200 arrests and 61 child rescues. In addition to hosting the popular crime-fighting show, Walsh also cofounded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children with his wife, Revé, after the abduction and murder of their son, Adam."I always believed that people would help if you showed them a way to help," Walsh told Fox News Digital. "I've caught guys in 45 countries. I say one thing, 'Don't tell me your name. Tell me where the dirtbag is. Nobody's gonna come and drag you to court. Nobody's going to follow with vengeance. No vengeance. Tell me — I don't care who you are — I'll catch him.' And that's how we've caught so many guys. So many guys. Because the public trusts me. The public worldwide. And we get those bad guys and we find those missing kids."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Oakland mayor facing ouster attempts to pin downfall on 'right-wingers' following FBI raid

Tens of thousands of Americans at wits' end in the crime-ridden city of Oakland enjoyed a breakthrough on June 18: They gathered far more than the required number of verified signatures to put Democratic Mayor Sheng Thao's recall to a vote in November. Just days after learning that she might soon be held to account for the rampant crime and local collapse she has reigned over, Thao's house was raided by the FBI. According to ABC News, the FBI — whose agents ultimately left the home carrying boxes — were joined on the scene by elements of the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Postal Service. It remains unclear why Thao's house was targeted, but it has been suggested in mainstream reports that Thao is under investigation for public corruption. The California Globe noted that another home raided in the area last week belonged to the owner of California Waste Solutions, which the Oakland Public Ethics Commission indicated in 2020 had illegally laundered campaign contributions to then-councilwoman Thao and several of her peers. Rather than express humility or address the concerns of prospective recall voters, Thao used a press conference Monday to displace blame. Thao noted that after 15 people were shot at a "Juneteenth" celebration, "our city woke up to the news that the FBI had raided the home that I share with my partner and our family," intimating the latter had a comparable gravity. Vowing to be "100% transparent" but unwilling to take questions, Thao alleged, "I have done nothing wrong." "I can tell you with confidence that this investigation is not about me. I have not been charged with a crime and I am confident that I will not be charged with the crime because I am innocent," claimed Thao. "The timing of all of this is troubling and we should all be concerned." Thao expressed anger that other officials weren't similarly being raided and suggested that she would have been treated differently if she were wealthier than she already is or if she came from money. The current mayor also suggested that despite lacking a foothold in Oakland, "There are a lot of radical right-wing forces" who have somehow managed to "build the rules to protect and preserve their power and maintain dominance over the rest of us." The empowered rule maker further suggested that the desire by at least 40,000 residents in the city of roughly 430,550 to have her kicked out of office is a "waste of time." "I'm not going down like that," said Thao, managing to work up a tear. Oakland United to Recall Sheng Thao held its own press conference shortly after Thao's, poking holes in the mayor's characterizations and rhetoric, reported CBS News. Seneca Scott, an organizer with the group, said, "We knew exactly what she would do: take no questions from the public after disappearing for several days, blame everyone, [and] scapegoat over 41,000 neighbors who signed her petition." The Recall Thao campaign notes on its website that "Thao's incompetence and dishonesty accelerated Oakland's decline, causing longstanding businesses to close and generational families to leave." Last year, the Athletics followed the Raiders and Golden State Warriors out of Oakland. Various businesses have fled the city or hired small armies of private security to deal with the crime. Greco-Roman Burials Indicating Ancient Disease Unearthed in Egypt’s Aswan

A joint Italian-Egyptian archaeological mission near the Agha Khan Mausoleum west of Aswan has successfully unearthed numerous family graves, 33 tombs in total, dating back to the late Greco-Roman periods (7th century BC-4th century AD). Some of the discovered graves still contain parts of mummies and funerary artifacts and have provided never seen before insights into that era, including the diseases that were prevalent at the time.
