President-elect Donald Trump responded to the Supreme Court’s Friday ruling that upholds a ban on Chinese-owned TikTok, saying that he will decide whether to take any executive action “in the not too distant future.” Following the high court’s ruling, the ban on TikTok will go into effect on Sunday unless the social media platform’s parent company — Chinese-owned ByteDance — sells TikTok to an American company. The Biden administration said it will leave the issue for Trump to address as soon as he is sworn in on Monday.
