An arsonist attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in Washington state over the weekend, throwing a rock through a window and lighting a fire on the property. The unidentified arsonist targeted an ICE field office in Yakima, Washington, about 140 miles away from Seattle. Federal agents, the Department of Homeland Security says, managed to escape from the attack unscathed. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin slammed Democrat politicians for their incendiary rhetoric against ICE agents, accusing them of contributing to the surge in violence against the federal law enforcement force. “Make no mistake, Democrat politicians like Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles are contributing to the surge in assaults of our ICE officers through their repeated vilification and demonization of ICE,” McLaughlin charged. “From comparisons to the modern-day Nazi Gestapo to glorifying rioters, the violent rhetoric of these sanctuary politicians is beyond the pale.” Pictures from DHS and released by the New York Post show plumes of smoke filling the air as the fire burns on the property. Noem has also called out Democrat politicians like Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell for “risking people’s lives” by opposing ICE and doxxing agents who were active in the southern city. McLaughlin noted that it has not been confirmed that ICE agents were the target of the attack, though the building is identified as a DHS office and is identified online as an ICE field office. The arson attack is the latest assault against the agency tasked with upholding and enforcing federal immigration law. ICE agents have faced attacks from both leftwing activists and illegal alien criminals. One unidentified man is believed to have fired a pistol at agents near Camarillo, California, while nearly a dozen suspects were charged early last month after attacking law enforcement at an ICE detention facility in Alvarado, Texas.

Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher predicted a 2028 presidential victory for Republicans in general — and perhaps for Vice President JD Vance specifically — if New York City elects Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani as its next mayor. Maher argued on his podcast that Mamdani, who garnered national attention when he bested disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) in the June Democratic primary, was essentially a walking, talking advertisement for the Republican Party as he pushed for radical changes in New York. When you let the Democrat socialists, and now they’re actually calling themselves social — let them take over a major American city, this is what you get: the state-run grocery stores, which worked so well in Cuba and the Soviet Union and Venezuela. WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday establishing a task force that will handle the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. The president signed the order in the South Court Auditorium in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Tuesday afternoon, where he shared that the new White House Olympics task force will handle the security at the Olympics and other issues pertinent to the massive event. The Olympics task force will be comprised of Trump’s cabinet and administration members. “During his first term, President Trump was instrumental in securing America’s bid to host the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared in a statement ahead of the signing. “The President considers it a great honor to oversee this global sporting spectacle in his second term. Sports is one of President Trump’s greatest passions, and his athletic expertise, combined with his unmatched hospitality experience, will make these Olympic events the most exciting and memorable in history.” Casey Wasserman, the chair and president of LA28, the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, expressed her appreciation to Trump and the WHite House on Tuesday “their leadership and unwavering support,” describing the upcoming event as “the largest and most ambitious Olympic and Paralympic Games ever hosted in the United States.” “Since we secured this historic opportunity in 2017, President Trump has consistently recognized the magnitude of our responsibility in welcoming the world to Los Angeles,” Wasserman said. “The creation of this task force marks an important step forward in our planning efforts and reflects our shared commitment to delivering not just the biggest, but the greatest Games the world has ever seen in the summer of 2028.” In July, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee quietly changed its policy in July to comply with the president’s executive order banning men from competing against women, a major win for conservatives and the White House. The Daily Wire reported this week that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued guidance building off the president’s Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports executive order, ensuring that certain athlete-related petitions and applications will be available only to women. The guidance calls for the Department of Homeland Security to develop policies to block male international athletes from competing against women in the United States. A USCIS spokesman told The Daily Wire that the president’s February executive order was the catalyst for the agency’s decision. That order directed that all funds be rescinded from “educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities,” saying that allowing men in women’s sports is “demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls, and denies women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel in competitive sports.”

Whenever you discuss speaking or praying in tongues, there are usually two very distinct sides of the topic. There are those who believe they are still active today and those who don’t. While I could give arguments about why speaking or praying in tongues is still relevant for today, that’s not where I want to focus your attention today. For full disclosure, I am writing this from the perspective of someone who believes in praying in tongues and who would argue this practice is still useful and beneficial to the believer. It can also benefit the body of Christ, but only if it’s done in accordance with Scripture. My goal in this article is to bring both theological and experiential aspects to this conversation. There are those who will say you cannot rely on experience, but only on Scripture. I would say you can rely on both, but it is important to ensure the experience aligns with Scripture.
