EU Threatens Musk Over “Harmful” Speech Ahead Of Trump Interview

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. On the day of Elon Musk’s interview with President Donald Trump on X, the EU’s top digital official, Thierry Breton, issued a reminder to Musk of his responsibilities under EU law to curb the spread of “harmful content.” Breton, the pro-censorship internal market commissioner, emphasized the significance of platform moderation in a letter and a post on X, stating, “With great audience comes greater responsibility.” The European Union, under its censorship law, the Digital Services Act (DSA), mandates that digital platforms stringently monitor online content to shield users from potential “harm.” This legislation is part of a broader scrutiny of X, which has consistently been targeted by the EU. Breton’s correspondence highlighted that the DSA’s mandates apply uniformly, including to Musk. The reminder was prompted by concerns over the “risk of amplification of potentially harmful content in the EU,” particularly with Musk’s upcoming interview with Trump and Musk’s own recent remarks concerning the attack on free speech currently being experienced in the UK. Breton further warned, “My services and I will be extremely vigilant to any evidence that points to breaches of the DSA and will not hesitate to make full use of our toolbox, including by adopting interim measures, should it be warranted to protect EU citizens from serious harm.” X CEO Linda Yaccarino, responded to Breton’s letter, calling it an “unprecedented attempt to stretch a law intended to apply in Europe to political activities in the US.” Yaccarino also said that Breton’s demand “patronizes European citizens, suggesting they are incapable of listening to a conversation and drawing their own conclusions.” Screenshot As the European Union persists in the stringent enforcement of its censorship law, the imposition of its regulatory well beyond its borders, notably into the United Kingdom—a nation no longer tethered by EU membership—raises profound concerns about the overreach of censorship under the guise of protection. The EU’s call for rigorous content moderation, even in territories outside its jurisdiction, smacks of an unsettling desire to extend its influence, stifling discourse and dissent not only within its member states but also in nations that have consciously chosen a different path. The insistence on such broad and pervasive controls over digital content by an entity like the EU, which should ostensibly champion democratic values, is alarming. This form of interventionism in the UK, under the pretense of safeguarding EU citizens from “harm,” undermines the very essence of free speech—a cornerstone of democratic societies. By dictating terms and conditions that stretch its authority into non-EU territories, the European Union not only compromises the sovereignty of other nations but also sets a dangerous precedent for global digital governance, where freedom of expression becomes a casualty in the battle against vaguely defined “harmful content.” If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. ABC Carries Water for Biden-Harris Administration Policy to Sway Votes

Amid the stolen valor scandal rocking the Harris-Walz ticket, ABC showed why a (D) should be tacked on the end of their name when they celebrated the Biden-Harris administration floating a policy proposal they admitted was designed to get votes, during Monday’s Good Morning America. It was an occurrence that NewsBusters has shown to be a common tactic from the top rated broadcast news outlet. “We’re going to go to the White House now, where the President is unveiling new policies this morning aimed at business practices that cost consumers time and money,” co-host and Democratic flack George Stephanopoulos announced at the top of the segment.   In-kind campaign donation? ABC(D) boasts that the Biden-Harris administration is working to stop "customer service headaches." "It's clear that the White House is trying to send a message now, ahead of the election, that it is taking steps to address...persistently high prices." pic.twitter.com/eXa6ifNQpk — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) August 12, 2024   Despite the liberal media spending years parroting the administration’s talking point that there was nothing at all they could do about rising prices, Washington correspondent Elizabeth Schulze boasted: “This is a new push from the Biden administration to try to cut down time and money that Americans spend wrangling with companies over customer service.” Americans were struggling balancing the price of groceries, gas, and high interest rates, but Schulze cheered on the administration nibbling at the edges with subscriptions and automated customer service bots: One target here is so-called “doom loops” where you're stuck on the phone with an automated response or talking to a chat bot instead of an actual person. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau plans to propose companies like banks need to let customers talk to a human representative by pressing a single button. The Federal Trade Commission is also on the verge of finalizing a new rule that would make it easier to cancel your subscriptions. So, if it takes you one click to sign up for a membership to a gym or for an app on your phone, it should take you one click to cancel it, too. A similar regulation could also be applied to internet and cable subscriptions. “Importantly, these proposals are not yet finalized, so it would be months before they take effect and they could face legal challenges,” she noted. Schulze said the quite part out loud when she admitted that the proposals were basically made with the election top of mind. “It's clear that the White House is trying to send a message now, ahead of the election, that it is taking steps to address the reality that many households are still struggling to pay persistently high prices,” she declared, seemingly thinking she was helping. The double standard in how ABC(D) covered Democratic proposals versus Republicans’ becomes obvious when you hold them up side by side. In spite of the fact that polls showed broad support mass deportations for illegal immigrants, the network had a meltdown over Trump’s immigration comments at the Republican national convention. Good Morning America was also in a panic over Project 2025, which wasn’t even an official Trump campaign proposal. ABC had also pushed the Democratic Party’s conspiracy theory that Trump was going to take away everyone’s rights. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s Good Morning America August 12, 2024 7:12:25 a.m. Eastern GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: We’re going to go to the White House now, where the President is unveiling new policies this morning aimed at business practices that cost consumers time and money. Elizabeth Schulze has the details. Good morning, Elizabeth. ELIZABETH SCHULZE: Good morning, George. This is a new push from the Biden administration to try to cut down time and money that Americans spend wrangling with companies over customer service. One target here is so-called “doom loops” where you're stuck on the phone with an automated response or talking to a chat bot instead of an actual person. Importantly, these proposals are not yet finalized, so it would be months before they take effect and they could face legal challenges. It’s part of a broader effort from the Biden administration to try to lower cost, by urging companies to slash hidden frees in industries like airlines, concerts, and credit cards. It's clear that the White House is trying to send a message now, ahead of the election, that it is taking steps to address the reality that many households are still struggling to pay persistently high prices. Michael. MICHAEL STRAHAN: All right. Elizabeth, thank you for that.

Newly LEAKED video footage captures Planned Parenthood execs laughing about selling organs and worse (viewer discretion advised)

Almost a decade ago, someone captured Planned Parenthood executives laughing about selling fetal body parts and “playing with the tissue” of aborted fetuses. That someone is a man named David Daleiden — a pro-life citizen journalist from the Center for Medical Progress. If his name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you heard it on the news several years back when none other than Kamala Harris, who was California’s attorney general at the time, ordered his home to be raided — likely because of the damning footage he possessed. Well, now that video footage has been leaked, and the contents are disturbing beyond belief. Sara Gonzales plays some of the footage to show the demonic agenda of the pro-choice movement. Warning: This video contains graphic content. - YouTube www.youtube.com “I’m like, ‘Yeah, I have a leg for you.’ I’m like, 'Oh s**t, if other people were to hear me, they’d like, ‘You are f****** evil,''" laughed Tram Nguyen, the vice president of abortion access at Planned Parenthood. “You have to come and play with our tissue and see if it’s cool enough for you.” “You told me about the proposition, and so now every time I do a [dilation and extraction], I’m like, ‘Oh, there’s some lungs, there’s some kidneys,”’ added Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast chief medical officer Ann Schutt-Aine, who Nguyen labeled as one of the providers who “goes up to 24 weeks” and the person you should seek out “if you want more intact [fetuses.]” “If I can’t get [the fetus] out intact, I can still get you a good sample,” Schutt-Aine boasted, adding that she can harvest livers and lungs for buyers “without much difficulty at all.” “We did footprints and handprints, baby!” said Nguyen, bragging about accommodating client requests for specific fetal body parts. She also laughed about “playing with the tissue” of aborted fetuses. In another leaked video, Dr. Stacy De-Lin, abortion services director for Planned Parenthood, says, “We could pay you $1,000, up to $1,500 for a liver.” De-Lin added that “the financial incentive would make people happy,” meaning mothers would be pleased to learn that aborting their babies would be lucrative for them. This is the footage Daleiden claims Kamala Harris seized from him in 2016. But now that it’s been leaked, he’s raising hell about it on X. — (@) — (@) “So Kamala had no problem helping out Planned Parenthood when she was AG in California, but you know what? We should come to expect that from her because when she was DA of San Francisco in 2010, she very strangely gave this interview where she was just like, ‘I love having the power to ruin people's lives’ — like David Daleiden, I guess,” says Sara, playing Harris’ 2010 interview. “The power I have as a prosecutor is that with the swipe of my pen, I can charge someone with a misdemeanor,” she said, “and by virtue of that swipe of my pen, you will have to go to a courthouse and stand in line; you will have to come out-of-pocket and hire an attorney; you may get arrested for a few hours; you will be embarrassed in your community; you will miss time coming onto the Google campus — all because with the swipe of my pen, I've charged you with a crime, which I may choose to dismiss two weeks later. “It's an incredible amount of power, and you want to make sure that the people who have this kind of power are taking seriously the responsibility in terms of understanding as much as anything — the impact on the people who will be affected by that,” Harris added. “Is that who you want for president?” asks Sara.
