Sunny Calls for Violence and Death to Stop President Trump

Sunny Hostin called for violence and death to stop the America First agenda. She was spurred on after Donald Trump’s speech. She praised Democrat Representative Al Green who stormed out of President Trump’s speech before Congress. He interrupted the meeting, screaming wildly. Congress, including 10 Democrats, censured Rep. Green. Rep. Green later said he didn’t […] The post Sunny Calls for Violence and Death to Stop President Trump appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

‘MAHA’ Update: Here Are RFK’s Latest Moves On Big Food And Big Pharma

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is continuing to advance his “Make America Healthy Again” movement this coming week, reportedly meeting with top executives from major food brands. Kennedy, as highlighted by The Daily Wire, has already impacted the food industry and made several vaccine-related moves as HHS secretary. RFK is expected to meet with executives from General Mills, PepsiCo, and other big-name brands on Monday, according to a report from Politico. The meeting was apparently encouraged by the White House — President Donald Trump reportedly wants department heads to meet with leaders from the industries they oversee. Kennedy has voiced concerns about seed oils, dyes, preservatives, and other ingredients often found in processed foods and sugary drinks. Reports suggest food companies will be on board with some related changes, though it’s expected there will be a lot of pushback over axing seed oils, since they are so inexpensive and versatile. Additionally, there’s been a stronger push from state reps and the federal government to limit sugary and highly processed food and drink options for government food benefits, called SNAP. Specifically, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R), as well as lawmakers in Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Texas, and Wyoming, are looking to restrict SNAP. U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has also previously said she’s working with RFK to advance the MAHA movement, and specifically mentioned restricting SNAP. Though, according to The Wall Street Journal, President Trump is skeptical of restrictions or bans since they are typically unpopular with the public. And, notably, Trump himself is an avid lover of Diet Coke. On vaccines, Kennedy has indicated that he’ll effectively be reviewing the childhood vaccination schedule. As the head of the “MAHA Commission,” Kennedy said he’ll investigate vaccines, as well as pesticides, food additives, microplastics, and antidepressants, to see if they have contributed to a rise of chronic illness. The HHS secretary has also halted the CDC’s “Wild to Mild” campaign promoting the flu vaccine. Kennedy wants advertisements going forward to promote the idea of “informed consent” in vaccine decision-making, which would include giving people information about the adverse events associated with vaccines. Additionally, citing conflicts of interest, RFK is preparing to remove several members of the external committee that advises the FDA and CDC on vaccine approvals and other key public health decisions. Recommendations from that committee, known as ACIP, are almost always followed by HHS and could impact the childhood vaccination schedule. Kennedy has postponed ACIP’s first panel to “accommodate public comment in advance of the meeting.” Related: How The ‘Make America Healthy Again’ Commission Is Already Impacting The Food Industry

Woman Can’t Get Chemo After Hochul Cuts Health Insurance For Correctional Officers

Woman Can’t Get Chemo After Hochul Cuts Health Insurance For Correctional Officers

The wife of a correctional officer in New York was not able to get her chemo treatment for a rare terminal illness last week after Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul terminated the health insurance coverage for thousands of officers and their dependents over the ongoing strike. Hochul has terminated health care for thousands of officers and sergeants so far, though, notably, the Attica Correctional Facility officer whose wife needs chemo was out on family and medical leave (FMLA) to take care of his family following the diagnosis, News10NBC’s Jennifer Lewke reported. “I get IV infusion therapy in the home a couple of days a month, I also have to get chemo, I’m also on several different daily medications,” the woman, only going by Rachel, said. News10NBC noted that other officers who were off on pre-approved leave said their health insurance was terminated, too. The Daily Wire has heard from numerous officers who are on strike and have indicated that they can’t afford to lose their health care for various reasons, including pregnancy. Officers have said at the outset of the strike that they want a repeal of the Democrat-backed HALT Act, which took effect in 2022. They also don’t want to work mandated shifts that are sometimes 72 hours long, which they say increases safety risks. A source, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution, told The Daily Wire that the strike is “not about the money,” but about how the “liberal agenda has destroyed our justice system.” They said the HALT Act has made it basically impossible for officers to discipline routine problems inside prisons, putting safety at risk for everyone, including inmates. Hochul, however, has acted increasingly hostile toward officers. Last week, she started firing officers and terminating health insurance coverage for officers and their dependents retroactively, meaning they’re on the hook for covering health care costs since the strike started, which was February 17. The governor has also threatened to arrest officers, and said she’s started proceedings to do just that for hundreds already. “They created very unsafe circumstances,” Hochul claimed on Tuesday. “We warned them day after day after day that you’re gonna lose your healthcare, the health care is gone; that people are gonna be arrested, you could be going to jail. You’ve lost your job, you’ve lost your income, you’ve lost everything.” The governor has mobilized 7,000 national guard members, with thousands currently working in the prisons. Numerous national guard members have leaked photos to the press of the cramped and squalid conditions they’ve been subjected to. Additionally, controversy is starting to brew as the number of deaths inside these prisons start to rack up. Since the strike started, at least seven people have died; one death has been deemed a suicide and at least one other is under investigation. Hundreds Of Civilians Massacred In Syria By Jihadist Government

Hundreds of people have reportedly been massacred in Syria over the last three days in the coastal provinces of Tartus and Latakia by the forces from the jihadist government. The AFP reported that more than 530 people had been confirmed killed, according to figures released by one monitor group on Saturday. Other estimates placed the number that had been killed lower, with the lowest number coming in at approximately 150. #BREAKING 532 Alawites killed by Syrian security forces, allies: new monitor toll pic.twitter.com/nVkzEXR5jE — AFP News Agency (@AFP) March 8, 2025 Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz pinned the massacre on the country’s new leader, Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the leader of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group, which was an offshoot of Al-Qaeda and was close to ISIS. “Al-Julani took off his [robe], put on a suit, and presented a moderate facade,” Katz wrote in a post on X that included a video of scores of people who had been massacred. “Now, he has removed the mask, revealing his true face: a jihadist terrorist from the Al-Qaeda school, committing atrocities against the Alawite civilian population.” “Israel will defend itself against any threat from Syria,” he added. “We will remain in the security zones and Mount Hermon and protect the communities of the Golan and Galilee.” Katz said that Israel would ensure that southern Syria remained demilitarized and that they will take military action against anyone who harms the local Druze population in the area. Ahmad Sharawi, Research Analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), said that the terrorist violence against the civilian population was “not just inevitable — it was a ticking time bomb.” “The notion that the Syrian civil war ended with Assad’s fall was always an illusion — it has merely entered a new phase,” he said. “Iran still has ambitions in Syria and will do everything possible to keep the country in turmoil, ensuring an opportunity for their resurgence.”

McDonald’s Finds Unexpected Solution To Ice Cream Machine Woes

McDonald’s ice cream is delicious, but it seems like the darn machines are down more often than they’re working. When customers want a cone, hot fudge sundae, or McFlurry, telling them the machines are down is no fun for employees. McDonald’s understands this and will launch new technology in its restaurants to help the ice cream machine issue. The new AI-powered tools will directly impact employees. Brian Rice, McDonald’s chief information officer, shared the exciting news with the Wall Street Journal. “Our restaurants, frankly, can be very stressful. We have customers at the counter, we have customers at our drive-through, couriers coming in for delivery, delivery at curbside. That’s a lot to deal with for our crew,” Rice explained. “Technology solutions will alleviate the stress.”  McDonald’s Employees Could Know In Advance The Ice Cream Machines Are Going Down Rice added, “If we can proactively address those issues before they occur, that’s going to mean smoother operations in the future.” The AI technology will also help McDonald’s track its customers’ orders and potentially offer deals to entice them to return. He explained, “A customer who we know loves our sweet treats could get an offer through the app for a McFlurry on a hot summer day.” Right now is a great time for McDonald’s ice cream fans if the machines are working. It’s Shamrock Shake season, and the burger giant brought back Uncle O’Grimacey to share the news in February. Fans loved seeing the familiar green face. One person wrote, “Yes I watched a 45-minute YouTube video essay about the McDonaldland universe last week and YES I’m glad to see my friends coming back thanks!” And this fan hoped Uncle O’Grimacey might mean more McDonald’s ice cream fun. “Will the grimace shake come back?” We’ll just have to wait and see. New Obesity Gene Identified Causes Dogs to Want More Food–And it’s Also in Humans Prone to Over-Eating

Obesity genes that cause dogs—and people—to pile on the pounds have been identified. Researchers studying Labrador retrievers discovered several genes associated with canine obesity—and the Cambridge University team showed that the same genes are associated with obesity in humans. The gene is called DENND1B, and the researchers explained that it directly affects a brain pathway […] The post New Obesity Gene Identified Causes Dogs to Want More Food–And it’s Also in Humans Prone to Over-Eating appeared first on Good News Network.
