Cybertruck Bomber Sent Pictures of the Rental to Ex-Girlfriend Before Detonation

Three days before allegedly committing suicide and detonating a rented Tesla Cybertruck outside a Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Army veteran Matthew Livelsberger texted his ex-girlfriend, gushing about the electric car. Livelsberger, a married 37-year-old Colorado resident and Green Beret, has been identified as the driver of the Tesla...

Federal Court Blocks Biden Administration’s ‘Net Neutrality’ Rules

A federal appeals court on Thursday struck down the Biden administration-backed “net neutrality” regulations implemented last year by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 3-0 against the FCC’s recent order that said Broadband Internet Service Providers must follow net neutrality rules because they are a “telecommunications service.” Net neutrality rules block broadband providers from varying speeds or blocking connections to third-party websites In a 26-page decision, Judge Richard Griffin wrote that the FCC “lacks the statutory authority to impose its desired net-neutrality policies” because broadband providers offer an “information service” and are not a telecommunications service under federal law.  Griffin said that because broadband providers are an information service they are not “not subject to common-carrier regulations.” “For the reasons that follow, we hold that Broadband Internet Service Providers offer an information service and that mobile broadband is a private mobile service,” he wrote. “Therefore, the FCC exceeded its statutory authority by issuing the Safeguarding Order.” The court’s decision came after the FCC reinstated “net neutrality” policies in April 2024, which several broadband providers challenged.  In response, Democratic FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel called for Congress to implement net neutrality regulations.  “Consumers across the country have told us again and again that they want an internet that is fast, open, and fair,” Rosenworcel said. “With this decision it is clear that Congress now needs to heed their call, take up the charge for net neutrality, and put open internet principles in federal law.” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr, whom President-elect Donald Trump has selected as the next chair of the commission, praised the court’s decision, calling it a “win” for the country. He said the regulations were part of the Biden administration’s work “to expand the government’s control over every feature of the Internet ecosystem.” “I am pleased that the appellate court invalidated President Biden’s Internet power grab by striking down these unlawful Title II regulations,” he said. “But the work to unwind the Biden Administration’s regulatory overreach will continue. I welcome the chance to advance a policy agenda that will deliver great results for the American people.”

“Ma’am That’s Pocket Lint” Baby Tawny Frogmouth Is Too Fluffy To Believe

This little guy might look like a ball of lint or a dust bunny from under the bed, but don’t let your eyes deceive you. He’s actually a bird! Reptile Encounters shared a video on social media introducing one of their newest critters. Jeff is a three-week-old tawny frogmouth, and he’s absolutely adorable! In the clip, Reptile Encounters shared some information about the small bird. At the moment, this precious animal lives in an incubator and survives on a diet of baby mice and crickets. Since Jeff is still quite young, his feathers are especially soft and downy. That’s why he basically looks like a ball of fluff with eyes! @reptile.encounters Replying to @wasplover2006 ♬ original sound – Reptile Encounters This video was actually a follow-up to a previous post. When Jeff was born, Reptile Encounters shared some hilarious footage of the tawny frogmouth’s bedraggled appearance. If you thought his messy feathers were funny in the clip above, that’s nothing compared to what they looked like when he first arrived! “Ma’am, that’s pocket lint,” one person commented after seeing the disheveled baby bird. @reptile.encounters Ma’am… ♬ original sound – GSP Dog World – GSP Dog World Since then, Jeff has apparently grown quite a bit. However, the woman holding him in the update video could still fit him neatly in the palm of her hand. Although she seemed very fond of the tawny frogmouth, even she had to admit that he very much resembled a bit of lint. “Actually, he still does look a bit like a lint ball,” she said. Viewers had to agree! “Calling him pocket lint is so diabolically accurate,” wrote one user. Although most people have been identifying this baby bird as a small piece of fuzz, tawny frogmouths are also often mistaken for owls. According to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, though, these creatures are actually part of the nightjar family. Here’s another neat fact about these avians: the color of their feathers helps them blend into their surroundings. So, if Jeff looks like a ball of lint, he’s probably safer for it!
