Complete List Of The Police Songs From A to Z

The Police originated out of London, England, in 1977, bringing together the talents of Sting (Gordon Sumner) on bass and vocals, Stewart Copeland on drums, and Andy Summers on guitar. Initially influenced by punk, the band evolved into pioneers of a unique sound that blended rock, reggae, and new wave elements. Their precise musicianship, paired with Sting’s evocative lyrics, set them apart as one of the most innovative bands of their era. Over their career, The Police released five studio albums: Outlandos d’Amour (1978), Reggatta de Blanc (1979), Zenyatta Mondatta (1980), Ghost in the Machine (1981), and Synchronicity (1983). Silo Season 3 Sees Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick Join Cast

News Silo Silo Season 3 Sees Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick Join Cast The new additions might be from a time before the silo was put in place… By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on January 17, 2025 Photo by Gage Skidmore licensed uder CC BY-SA 2.0 Comment 0 Share New Share Photo by Gage Skidmore licensed uder CC BY-SA 2.0 The season two finale for Silo dropped today, and Apple TV+ is already giving us tidbits about what we’ll see in the already-greenlight third season of the show. According to Deadline, Jessica Henwick (pictured above at Comic-Con, whose previous credits include Iron Fist, The Matrix Resurrections, and Glass Onion) and Ashley Zukerman (Succession, Fear Street) have joined the cast. Henwick will be playing a character named Helen, who is described as “a smart-whip reporter,” while Zukerman will be a “young and hungry congressman” named Daniel. The two join the existing cast of the show based on the book series by Hugh Howey, where ten thousand people, presumably the last of humanity, live in an underground silo after the surface of Earth became uninhabitable some hundreds of years ago. Based on the job descriptions of Henwick’s and Zukerman’s characters, odds are good that they play people from the time before the Earth’s surface suffered that fate. The series stars Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette, and season two’s ensemble cast includes Tim Robbins, Steve Zahn, Common, Iain Glen, Harriet Walker, Chinaza Uche, Remmie Milner, and Tanya Moodie. Graham Yost has helmed the television adaptation as showrunner for the first two seasons and is on board for the already-approved third and fourth seasons, which will wrap up the story. The first two seasons of Silo are now streaming on Apple TV+. M[end-note] The post Silo Season 3 Sees Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick Join Cast appeared first on Reactor.

NEWT GINGRICH: the People Vs. the Bureaucrats

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—A recent survey of senior government employees revealed that 42% of them plan to work against the incoming Trump administration. According to Tyler O’Neil, managing editor of the Daily Signal, “A surprising number of federal government employees admit they are gearing up to act like a deep state, opposing the incoming second administration of Donald Trump.” He cited a poll by RMG Research Survey, which had been commissioned by the Napolitan Institute. This should not surprise us. Much of the federal bureaucracy was recruited from liberals who came to Washington to impose their values and views on the American people. Many of the regulatory agencies consider it their jobs to force the American people to do what bureaucrats proscribe. Trump and the Make America Great Again movement are a mortal threat to these bureaucrats. If President-elect Donald Trump does what he said he would do during the campaign, he is going to threaten the lifetime work of many senior federal bureaucrats. Everything they spent years trying to impose on the American people will be wiped out by the Trump administration. The new Elon Musk–Vivek Ramaswamy Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is an example of the kind of threat Trump represents for establishment bureaucrats. The DOGE’s goal to cut $2 trillion from government spending will shatter the patterns, habits, procedures, and systems of the bureaucratic Washington establishment. Imagine you spent 20 or 30 years methodically building a system that would let you achieve your ideological goals—even if the American people opposed you. Then imagine your life’s work is suddenly threatened by outsiders who are businesspeople who thrived outside the typical Washington environment. You would be horrified. For you, the barbarians are at the gate. This is not a new problem. A senior official in President George W. Bush’s Defense Department once told me that the Pentagon bureaucracy just hunkers down to outlast new administrations. They refer to appointed officials as “the summer help.” During the first Trump administration, a senior State Department official pointed out to me there are about 27 appointees in the Foreign Service—and 13,000 full-time bureaucrats who oppose them. Like the Paul Newman film “Fort Apache, the Bronx,” he told me “We are in the building, and they are surrounding us.” This continual problem of bureaucracies manipulating or ignoring elected officials was brilliantly captured in two BBC TV series “Yes, Minister” and “Yes, Prime Minister.” Producer Antony Jay was a senior adviser to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Many of the episodes grew out of actual civil service manipulation against the prime minister. She said it was her favorite TV show. Every Trump appointee should watch the series. Trump cannot possibly achieve his extraordinary goals if 42% of his senior bureaucracy is actively undermining him. Furthermore, bureaucracies that overrule elected officials violate President Abraham Lincoln’s principle, which he articulated at Gettysburg. We want “government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Lincoln understood the importance of the elected executive controlling the instruments of government. In a small government (which exploded in size to win the Civil War), Lincoln replaced 1,200 of the 1,500 policy-making bureaucrats. Since many of the people Lincoln replaced were Southerners, or pro-South, he could not possibly have won the war had they stayed in their positions. Replacing his opponents in the government with supporters was one of the key decisions that enabled the Union to endure four long, bitter years of war and prevail. Trump does not have the power (nor would he have the ready replacements) to have a proportionate shift in today’s much larger government. However, he must have the ability to replace bureaucrats who clearly try to sabotage, slow walk, or undermine his policies. This is a key principle the American people will accept. Once they have selected a chief executive that person should be able to execute. If they cannot, the whole system is beyond the control of the American people. The Constitution has no provision for acceptable bureaucratic tyranny. It provides for the people to rule through elections to the House, Senate, and White House. Controlling rogue bureaucrats—and passing laws necessary to execute that control—will be a key test for the Trump administration and those who want to Make America Great Again. This will be one of the first great struggles of the new administration. Originally published by the Daily Caller News Foundation We publish a variety of perspectives. Fun Pallet Project – Homemade Wine Rack

Looking for DIY pallet furniture ideas and cool homemade home decor? We love repurposed wood projects and this pallet wine and stem rack make a super addition to any home. Easy to build, you will have a great looking wine rack in about 2 hours when you follow our easy step by step tutorial. All you need for this pallet wine rack are a few common tools, wooden pallets, and screws. Supplies for this wood pallet homemade wine rack project: 5 Pallet Boards (pulled from any pallet you can find) 1 1/2 Wooden Pallet Rails (see below for identifying) 2 1/2-Inch Screws (dozen or so) A Chop Saw or Circular Saw (or a handsaw if you're old school) A Power Drill A Jigsaw A Carpenter's Square Stemware Rack Attachment (Optional) 2 Additional Wooden Pallet Boards Instructions Step 1: Gather your pallet wood For the Wine Rack portion of this DIY, you're going to need 5 Full Wooden Pallet Boards and 1 and 1/2 Wooden Pallet Rails. The rails are the curved pieces that sit below the pallet and hold the boards together. If you plan on decking your wine rack out with a stemware attachment, have two more wooden pallet boards on hand. Get yourself some reclaimed wood. Step 2: Cut pallet pieces to size Use a saw to cut the rail in half. These pieces are going to get cut again later on, so this cut doesn’t have to be perfect. Just eyeball the midpoint and cut it. We used a Chop Saw to cut ours, but a circular or handsaw will work just fine. Step 3: Setting the sides & making spacers Place one of your cut pieces onto one of the boards. Make it look like this. Measure the distance between the piece and the TOP edge of the board. Step 4: Setting the spacers The distance between the edge of the piece and the board is how wide your spacer needs to be. In our case, we needed a 1 ½ inch spacer. You are going to cut the spacer from the one-foot piece of rail, so find this distance on the rail with a measuring tape and mark it with a pencil. Step 5: Lining things up Use a piece of scrap wood to draw a straight line across your spacer. You can use a piece of wood to help you draw a straight line. Step 6: Cut and run Cut along the line. Align your spacer with one of the rails you’ve cut and place a mark where the bevel begins. It's almost impossible to screw this step up. Step 7: Work your way down Use a Square to draw a straight line across the spacer . Measure and mark the same distance from the other end of the spacer. You’re going to cut two spacers from this one piece. The scribbled part is going in the trash. Step 8: Mounting the front After you make the cuts, take a spacer and align it with a rail piece and a board. Mark where the spacer meets the edge of the board. Do this with both spacers. Step 9: Getting fancy Draw a curve from the top rear corner of the spacer to the line that you’ve just drawn. For the rest of the instructions, check out DIY Ready! Just sketch it. It doesn't have to be pretty Your spacer just got a sweet haircut. Drill two pilot holes through the board and into the rail. Use a small bit for your pilot holes. Cut them flush with the top board. Make your spacers about an inch wide. Make that line straight. Draw a straight line. A screw clutching onto its last moment of dwindling freedom. Step 23: Repeat and…SCENE! Do this for both sides. You’re done! Now that you're so proud of your new wine rack that you can hardly contain it, deceptively invite your friends over to “catch up over wine,” stand with them in front of your new rack and stroke your chin while taking an exceptionally long time to decide between the “Zin” and the “Rah.” Beautiful enough to display where everyone can see. The bottom of your stemware rack.

Jemele Hill's HATRED for Caitlin Clark SILENCED following stalker arrest

Journalist Jemele Hill is one of Caitlin Clark’s biggest haters, but after recent news of Clark’s stalker’s arrest, she’s clearly begun to regret that decision and wiped all of her past comments on the WNBA star off social media. However, the internet never forgets. “I don’t like to play the Oppression Olympics, but … has CC had to delete her social media accounts? No, but her teammate Aliyah Boston did. CC has given out a few hard shots herself, talked trash, jawed with the refs, and yes any time she is subjected to physical play, a hard foul, or trash talk, opposing players are absolutely villainized,” Hill wrote in now-deleted post on X. “She is not constantly subjected to racial slurs, and whatever hate she does experience, she is not told to toughen up or that her feelings don’t matter. She is not subjected to both sides-ism, nor are people trying to justify any hatred against her. That’s the difference,” Hill continued. Hill attempted to delete the tweets after Michael Lewis, 55, was charged with stalking Clark. Prosecutors allege he engaged in a “course of conduct involving repeated or continuing harassment of Caitlin Clark that would cause a reasonable person to feel terrorized.” Lewis allegedly sent vulgar and sexually graphic messages to Clark on social media platform X. While Jason Whitlock and Steve Kim of “Fearless” are grateful Clark’s stalker is having his day in court, they, like the internet, have not forgotten the attack tweets Hill has run on Clark. “Jemele Hill got busted,” Whitlock says happily. “She got exposed once again.” “Miss Hill wrote she doesn’t play in the victim Olympics; are you kidding me? She’s won more gold medals than Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps. She’s the greatest of all time at them,” Kim laughs. “I don’t understand why people, Miss Hill, ever delete their tweets. Do they not realize, and I’ve gone through this, everyone will basically screenshot stuff that you say and just keep it in that folder. They’ll keep it in the draft forever. They have that thing holstered like Wyatt Earp,” Kim adds.
