There’s No Epstein Client List, No Tapes, Move On

President Trump ordered Attorney General Bondi to release Grand Jury testimony. Hopefully, it will be enough to allow us to move on from this. Democrats have latched on to it to hurt Republicans. The New York Post published an Alan Dershowitz op-ed in which he confirms his most recent statements. There is no client list. The WSJ Didn’t Have the Bawdy Letter They Used to Attack Trump

President Trump torched the Wall Street Journal and Murdoch over the 2003 drawing they say Trump created for Epstein’s birthday. It was very bawdy. Trump said today “I look forward to getting Rupert Murdoch to testify in my lawsuit against him and his “pile of garbage” newspaper, the WSJ. That will be an interesting experience!!!” […] The post The WSJ Didn’t Have the Bawdy Letter They Used to Attack Trump appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Trump Celebrates CBS Axing Stephen Colbert’s Show: ‘I Hear Jimmy Kimmel Is Next’

President Donald Trump took a victory lap on Friday after learning that CBS had canceled “The Late Show,” hosted by leftist comedian and political commentator Stephen Colbert. CBS announced on Thursday that the late-night talk show, which started with host David Letterman in 1993, will air its final episode in May 2026, nearly 11 years after Colbert took over. “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.” Trump has ripped Colbert in the past, calling him “very boring” and “a total loser.” “He is not funny, which he gets paid far too much to be, he is not wise, he is VERY BORING, and his show is dying from a complete lack of viewers,” Trump said last September. Colbert, whom CBS said “will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late night television,” often used his monologues to take shots at Trump and his supporters. In March, Colbert ripped President Trump’s address to Congress, saying, “Trump’s first address to Congress was much like his first six weeks: filled with useful lies and applauded by useless idiots.” Earlier this week, Colbert criticized CBS’s parent company, Paramount, for agreeing to pay a $16 million settlement to Trump over a “60 Minutes” interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris, which Trump said was deceptively edited to help the Democratic presidential nominee. Colbert called the settlement a “big fat bribe,” adding, “I don’t know if anything will repair my trust in this company. But, just taking a stab at it, I’d say $16 million would help.” None of Colbert’s segments were more roundly mocked than his COVID “Vax-Scene” bit in 2021, in which the comedian danced on stage with four people dressed up as syringes. Colbert addressed CBS’s decision to cancel his show on Thursday night, telling his audience, “Before we start the show, I want to let you know something that I found out just last night. Next year will be our last season. The network will be ending ‘The Late Show’ in May.” “I’m not being replaced. This is all just going away,” he added. Democrats lamented the move by CBS, including Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who was Colbert’s headliner on Thursday night. “Just finished taping with Stephen Colbert who announced his show was cancelled. If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better,” Schiff said in a post on X. “CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery,” added Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). “America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons.”

EXCLUSIVE: Loudoun County Teachers Don’t Have To Use Trans Pronouns, Court Rules

The Loudoun County school board will no longer force staff to use students’ preferred pronouns after teachers sued over the Northern Virginia school district’s transgender policy, a court ruled on Thursday. In a free speech victory for several teachers who sued, the Loudoun County Circuit Court officially recognized that Loudoun County Public Schools no longer requires teachers to use pronouns inconsistent with students’ biological sex. The court noted that “on its face, [the transgender policy] does not require teachers or other staff to use a pronoun to refer to a person that a teacher believes is inconsistent with the person’s sex. Instead, [the policy] permits staff to refrain from using any pronouns.” The transgender policy, which was adopted in 2021, allows “gender-expansive or transgender students” to choose their names and pronouns. Originally, officials stated that it required teachers to use them as well. “Staff or students who intentionally and persistently refuse to respect a student’s gender identity by using the wrong name and gender pronoun are in violation of this policy,” the policy reads. However, the Loudoun County school board backed down on requiring teachers to use pronouns after Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys won a victory on the same issue for another high school teacher, Peter Vlaming, in a different Virginia school district. Thursday’s court ruling affirms the school board’s new interpretation of its policy. This is the second victory for Loudoun County teachers in this case. In May 2021, physical education teacher Tanner Cross spoke at a school board meeting and expressed his concerns that the new transgender policy would violate teachers and parents’ rights and be harmful to students. A few days later, Cross was suspended by Leesburg Elementary School. He ultimately got his job back when Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys sued on his behalf, and the Virginia Supreme Court ruled that his constitutional rights had likely been violated. “Unfortunately, thereafter … the school board adopted [the transgender policy] without making any revisions or addressing any of the concerns that Tanner or the other parents and teachers addressed,” Tyson Langhofer, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, told The Daily Wire. Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys added two more teachers to the lawsuit against the policy — Smart’s Mill Middle School English teacher Kim Wright and Loudoun County High School history teacher Monica Gill. “Thankfully, now after several years of litigation, the school has agreed that its policy does not and cannot compel teachers to use pronouns that students request which are inconsistent with the student’s sex,” Langhofer said. Gill, one of the plaintiffs celebrating Thursday’s ruling, has taught in Loudoun County for nearly 25 years. “I treasure all my students, regardless of whether they identify as the opposite sex,” Gill said in a statement to The Daily Wire. However, the transgender policy “threatened to make me ignore biological reality and lie to my students,” Gill said. “This policy jeopardized the dignity of all students,” she said. “I’m pleased that the school district has now honored my constitutionally protected freedom to speak to my students in love and truth.” Loudoun County has been a flash point in the national controversy over transgender ideology in schools, starting with The Daily Wire’s bombshell 2021 investigation into a father’s claim that the school district covered up the rape of his daughter by a male student in a skirt in the girls’ school bathroom. “For many, many years, Loudoun County, along with many other school boards across the country, have acted as if they control, that they’re ultimately responsible for the education of the children rather than parents,” attorney Langhofer said. “They’ve also acted as if they get to control all of teachers’ speech and that they can punish teachers for disagreeing with the school on really important topics such as human sexuality and gender identity,” he said. “So this ruling is a great victory for teachers who don’t want to express messages that they think are untrue or are harmful to students and also don’t want to mislead parents about how their schools are treating the students at school,” the attorney said.

Republican Attorney General Calls For End To Federal DEI Program That ‘Wastes Money On Purpose’

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador called for an end to a “discriminatory” federal program that costs states millions of dollars by pushing them to go with more expensive “diverse” contractors. In a Wednesday court filing joined by 20 states, Labrador urged a federal judge to accept a proposal from the Trump administration to end an affirmative action program that favors minority- and women-owned businesses for state infrastructure projects. The initiative, known as the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, set aside $37 billion under the Biden administration for “disadvantaged” groups.  The program, which has been in effect since 1983, was originally challenged in September 2023 by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty on behalf of two Indiana-based companies that claim they lost business opportunities based on the policy. The Biden administration fought back against the challenge, but the Trump administration has asked a judge to side with the complaint and disband the program.  In an amicus brief, Labrador and the other plaintiffs urged Federal Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove, a George W. Bush nominee, to accept a consent decree proposed by the Trump administration that would end race and sex as components to qualify as a “disadvantaged business.”  “This discrimination is expensive. It routinely requires States to reject the lowest bid on a project in favor of a less-efficient DBE-compliant bidder, and even when States can choose the lowest bid, the price is usually inflated because contractors have to use DBE-compliant subcontractors,” the filing says. “The DBE program wastes money on purpose. When supposedly disadvantaged entities are the lowest bidders, the program has no effect-its whole point is to force States to hire disadvantaged entities when they are not the lowest bidders.” Labrador told The Daily Wire that the rule has cost his state at least $15.2 million over a 44-month period. In one instance, he said that Idaho had to take a $2.7 million bid instead of a $2.2 million bid.  “This federal program has operated like a racial quota system for decades,” he said. “Federal bureaucrats forced states like Idaho to reject better bids from qualified contractors, wasting roughly $15 million in just a few years by requiring states to award a certain percentage of contracts based on race and gender instead of merit.” A 2009 MIT study found that affirmative action in contracting can increase the cost when comparing state contracts without preferences to federal contracts with preferences. The study found that bids without preferences were at least 5.6% lower than the preferential contract.  Other states that signed onto the legal filing include North Dakota, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and the Arizona state legislature.  “While the Biden Administration defended this system in court, President Trump is working to restore equality under the law,” Labrador said. “My office will continue fighting any federal program that forces states to treat citizens as members of groups rather than individuals with equal constitutional rights.”
