New Evidence: The Government Knew Oswald Wasn’t the Only Killer of JFK

A new book by Dr. Jerome Corsi and Dr. David W. Mantik, M.D., Ph.D. appears to prove the three extant JFK autopsy skull X-rays in the National Archives collection are forgeries, altered to mask evidence of two frontal headshots. Dr. Corsi believes bullets from some cold-hearted deep state assassins landed the shots. He believes they […] The post New Evidence: The Government Knew Oswald Wasn’t the Only Killer of JFK appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

House Sergeant-At-Arms Could Take Garland Into Custody Under GOP Proposal

A House Republican spoke on Sunday about employing inherent contempt of Congress to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland “accountable” for refusing to share audio from the classified documents probe against President Joe Biden. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo about her resolution that, if enacted, could lead to the House sergeant-at-arms taking Garland into custody if the attorney general continues to defy congressional subpoenas. “What that allows Congress to do is really be the punitive arm and really hold Garland accountable by using the sergeant at arms to essentially go and get him, as well as the tapes, bring him to the well of the House,” Luna said. Luna says her resolution to have the House Sergeant at Arms arrest Attorney General Merrick Garland will be coming up for a vote pic.twitter.com/dMpEyizoDK — Acyn (@Acyn) June 16, 2024 Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has vowed to bring the fight to court after the Department of Justice said it would refuse to prosecute Garland for contempt of Congress because Biden asserted executive privilege over the tapes. Luna isn’t getting her hopes up and pitched her resolution as a more viable option for House Republicans to “really be a check and balance” against the Department of Justice (DOJ) with a move that “hasn’t been done since the early 1900s.” She added, “That vote will be coming to the floor. And, hopefully, we will be able to bring some accountability. I know that, if this goes to courts, as Johnson has stated, that’s really going to get stuck there. It’s not going to do anything.” The GOP-led House seeks tapes of special counsel Robert Hur’s two-day interview with Biden and discussion with Biden’s ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer, after the release of a report describing the president as an “elderly man with a poor memory.” House Republicans obtained transcripts, but they said they still needed the audio to conduct oversight and pushed forward with contempt of Congress proceedings. Democrats claim the actions of their GOP colleagues are tainted by politics. The DOJ claims sharing the audio would impede future investigations and insisted Garland is shielded from prosecution because of executive privilege. Garland had said the House turned “a serious congressional authority into a partisan weapon.” Luna previously said in a post to X that if the DOJ has not indicted Garland by June 25, she will “call a vote to hold him in inherent contempt of Congress, and he will be forced to produce the recordings or be held by the Sergeant at Arms.”

GOP Bill Would Rename Coastal Waters After Trump

Coastal waters around the United States would be named after former President Donald Trump, who is currently running for another term in the White House, if a long-shot bill proposed by a House Republican gets enacted into law. Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) announced last week that he would be introducing a bill to re-designate the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the United States. References to the EEZ in law, maps, regulations, documents, papers, or other records of the U.S. would be named the “Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States” under the plan. “Floridians know the great value of our coastal natural resources and how important it is to have a president who cares about the strength and resilience of our oceans,” Steube said. “During his time in office, President Trump took several commendable actions for our oceans as part of his work to make America strong, secure, and economically prosperous.” Steube added in the press release, “I’m honored to introduce legislation that will rename our coastal waters after President Trump and serve as a reminder of his many contributions to our nation for generations to come.” The legislation faces long odds as the Senate and the White House are controlled by Democrats. Still, the party divide in the halls of Washington has not stopped Republicans in the GOP-led House from offering measures to promote Trump. That includes recently-proposed legislation from Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) to have Trump’s portrait appear on $500 bills. House Republicans have also put forward legislation this year that would rename Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia — one of the major airports in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan are — as the “Donald J. Trump International Airport” in all laws, maps, regulations, documents, papers, or other records of the United States. Democrats in the House offered a bill seeking to change the name of the Miami Federal Correctional Institution — the closest federal prison to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida — to the “Donald J. Trump Federal Correctional Institution” in a nod to the criminal matters the former president is facing, including a guilty verdict in New York. Steube’s press release described a number of actions Trump took as president related to oceans, including signing bills and proclamations. He also issued a memo directing federal agencies to make a national strategy to map the U.S. EEZ. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. EEZ “extends no more than 200 nautical miles from the territorial sea baseline and is adjacent to the 12 nautical mile territorial sea of the U.S., including the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and any other territory or possession over which the United States exercises sovereignty.” Within its EEZ, NOAA says, the U.S. has: “Sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring, exploiting, conserving and managing natural resources, whether living and nonliving, of the seabed and subsoil and the superjacent waters and with regard to other activities for the economic exploitation and exploration of the zone, such as the production of energy from the water, currents and winds.” The U.S. has jurisdiction “as provided for in international and domestic laws with regard to the establishment and use of artificial islands, installations, and structures, marine scientific research, and the protection and preservation of the marine environment,” NOAA adds, and other “rights and duties provided for under international and domestic laws.”

California Democrat Says He Won’t Attend Netanyahu’s Congressional Address

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) informed NBC’s Peter Alexander that he did not plan to attend an upcoming congressional address from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Khanna joined Alexander, who was guest-hosting the network’s Sunday morning episode of “Meet the Press,” and complained about Netanyahu’s past treatment of former President Barack Obama: “He should not expect reciprocity.” WATCH: WATCH: As Israeli PM Netanyahu prepares to address a joint session of Congress, @RepRoKhanna (D-Calif.) says he “will not attend.” “I’m not going to sit in a one-way lecture. … How he treated treated President Obama, he should not expect reciprocity.” pic.twitter.com/kvgiNwJPsm — Meet the Press (@MeetThePress) June 16, 2024 “I will not attend,” Khanna told Alexander during Sunday’s broadcast. “I said that if he wants to come to speak to members of Congress about how to end the war and release hostages, I would be fine doing that, but I’m not going to sit in a one-way lecture.” “And I agree with Representative Clyburn,” Khanna continued. “I mean, how he treated President Obama, he should not expect reciprocity. That said, I think it should be polite. We’re not going to make a big deal about it. He’s obviously addressing the Congress, and there has to be decorum.” Khanna follows Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in announcing his plans to skip the address. Sanders took things a bit further, however, accusing Netanyahu of being responsible for the civilian deaths in Gaza despite the knowledge that Hamas terrorists routinely use the civilian population as human shields. “What [Speaker Mike] Johnson is going to have to explain to the American people is why he thinks it’s OK to invite somebody to a joint session who is responsible for the deaths of some 38,000 Palestinians at this point, 60% of whom are women and children, elderly people,” Sanders said, citing casualty numbers provided but the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry.

Gold medalist Simone Biles is heading to the Olympic trials next week, and her mom will be supporting her with her whole heart. The 27-year-old won the all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Champions this month, which gave her a ticket to the trials in Minneapolis on June 27. While there, she will compete against the country’s best to earn one of the five spots on Team USA. Simone is already one of the most winningest gymnasts in the world. But no matter what happens, Nellie could not be more proud. “The important thing is to be there for Simone and making sure that she understands that her family is there giving her full support,” she told Today on June 13. “And I am going to be really happy and probably shedding a few tears just because I’m going to be so emotional.” Simone Biles’ Mom And Dad “Did Something Right In Her Life” Nellie also admitted that she admires her daughter because “she knows what she wants,” and she has unwavering determination and dedication to make her dreams come true. Bodycam video: Deputy shoots 7 abandoned dogs, sheriff's office says cop acted in 'professional and most humane manner'

Disturbing police bodycam video shows the moment that an Arizona deputy shot seven abandoned dogs. Despite many local residents being appalled by the lethal police shooting, the sheriff's office has defended the officer's actions and said he acted in "a professional and most humane manner given the circumstances."Residents complained about abandoned dogs at a property in Adamana, Arizona — an unincorporated community about 100 miles east of Flagstaff. Neighbors said the dogs would attack their livestock. Apache County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jarrod Toadecheenie – the responding officer – wrote in his incident report that the dogs were owned by a couple who were getting divorced and had abandoned the property.Deputy Toadecheenie went to the abandoned property on Sept. 22, 2023.Police bodycam footage shows seven emaciated and dehydrated dogs. The dogs don't appear to be aggressive toward the officer. The deputy lures the starving dogs into a fenced area with food and water. The famished dogs feverishly gobble up the food. The bodycam video originally obtained by the Mountain Daily Star shows the deputy exiting the fenced-in area and then putting on headphones. Toadecheenie is heard saying, "Oh God. This is gonna suck."As the dogs approach the officer with wagging tails, the deputy then proceeds to shoot the dogs one by one. Deputy Toadecheenie shot one dog two additional times because it continued to move. Two of the abandoned dogs were able to escape and hid under a shed. They were later brought to a local animal shelter. One reportedly died of parvovirus shortly after arriving, and the other was adopted. The bodycam footage shows the deputy dragging the lifeless bodies to his truck. He later dumped the dead dogs near railroad tracks, according to the incident report. The grim video can be seen here."The deputy involved acted in a professional and most humane manner given the circumstances."The Apache County Sheriff's Office defended the actions of Deputy Toadecheenie, and told KSAZ-TV: The deputy involved acted in a professional and most humane manner given the circumstances. He exhausted all other alternatives available to him at the time and acted under the approval of his immediate supervisor. The incident was reviewed by ACSO Command Staff, and the Deputy was found to have acted within agency policy. The sheriff's office explained that Apache County spans more than 11,00 square miles and does not have an animal care or control department. The Apache County Sheriff's Office said the county does not have the infrastructure or budget for an animal control department, which leaves just a "handful of deputies" to make "split-second life or death decisions and handle any situation they are confronted with in a professional manner within the law.""Animals are dying everywhere in the county."However, not everyone in Apache County agrees with the decision to shoot seven abandoned dogs. Teresa Schumann – founder of the nonprofit Northern Arizona Animal Search and Rescue – told the Washington Post, "The Apache County Sheriff’s Office won’t do anything to fix the problem. Animals are dying everywhere in the county."Schumann added, "They say they can't afford to do animal services, and I'm sorry, I don't believe that. There are plenty of people who are trying to help."Schumann said the deputy had contacted her about taking the dogs before the deadly incident, but her facility did not have any room and she couldn't find homes for them. The deputy allegedly told her that he would "handle it."In his report, Toadecheenie said Schumann told him that if the dogs were aggressive, they may have to be euthanized.Schumann told KPNX, "I told him if the dogs were feral, we were going to have to try and find somebody that would be willing to work with these dogs. I said it takes a lot, but no, I never said they needed to be shot.”However, Schumann said had she known the animals would have been shot and killed, she would have intervened. As Blaze News reported last month, a disturbing police bodycam was released that showed a cop shoot and kill a "non-aggressive" deaf and blind 13-pound dog.Like Blaze News?
