THE FAKE SCIENCE BEHIND OUTLAWING OIL–

Another Control-Freak Movement Crumbles, along with COVID, Harm Reduction, Open Borders and Men Competing in Women’s Sports The recent Nature article, “Carbon Majors and the Scientific Case for Climate Liability,” tries to further the alarmists’ dream of pinning alleged harms of “extreme” weather on the world’s largest producers of fossil fuels. Christopher W. Callahan and Justin S. Mankin, both at Dartmouth College when their article was prepared, accept – without substantiation – climate activists’ position that industrial emissions of carbon dioxide cause catastrophic warming and perpetuate the demonization of oil and gas companies as global villains. Instead of casting light on the climate issue, the authors attempt to provide a blueprint for a “‘coming wave of climate legal action’ for which courts are woefully unprepared.” “More than 100 climate-related lawsuits have been filed annually since 2017,” report the authors. “And as extreme events intensify and losses accumulate … more people are turning to the legal system for relief.” The authors, however, fail to provide a sound foundation for such lawsuits. Their claim that Chevron Corp. is liable for nearly $2 trillion in “climate damages” has no basis in science, fact or common sense. Moreover, in making the case, they violate important tenets of scientific inquiry. The Nature article uses the words “science” and “scientific” 44 times, but the writers disregard the scientific method, a centuries-old system of inquiry that relies on testing by empirical observation. Repeated are fallacies of popular climate research such as trusting computer models that have failed validation by real-world data. The research is bestowed with the supposed credibility of “peer review” – a term that once described a dispassionate assessment by third parties but long ago was corrupted into a seal of approval for ideological purity. At best, the authors attempt to cover their conclusions with a patina of authority by using faddish jargon and opinions that are more political than scientific. The authors claim to establish the liability of oil and gas companies for climate damage through a four-step process: First, relying on discredited analytical models, they find that Chevron’s emissions of carbon dioxide are responsible for 0.025 degrees Celsius of warming since 1920, or less than 0.01% of the Earth’s average temperature. Attributing this level of precision to crude computer analysis makes no sense. Dr. Richard Lindzen, professor emeritus of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has declared such analysis the basis of “a quasi-religious movement predicated on an absurd ‘scientific’ narrative.” Suffice it to say that the many parameters influencing climate are too poorly understood to construct a useful predictive model. Among those factors are changes in Earth’s orbit, fluctuations in solar energy, volcanic emissions, changes in ocean currents and cloud formation. Second, the authors purport to show that heat waves induced by increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide are becoming more severe and frequent without showing a connection between hot weather and CO2 and without having a baseline to establish a trend of greater severity and frequency. How could they? Earth has been in a beneficial warm period for nearly 12,000 years, but satellite data to track heat waves cover only the last half century and scattered thermometer readings a mere 150 years. The trend for U.S. heat waves has been flat since at least 1890 except for the Dust Bowl period of the 1930s. The third and fourth steps assume connections – with little or no empirical backup – between changes in global surface temperatures and extreme heat at a regional level and between unusually hot days and per capita income. The least rigorous of the researchers’ analyses is that of weather’s influence on income. For centuries, economists have tried to understand why per capita income varies from country to country, region to region, year to year and month to month. Individual income is influenced by culture, geography, demographics, normal weather variations, government policy, war, civil strife, crime, natural disasters of all types, trade, influences from friendly or hostile neighbors, world commodity prices, exchange rates, interest rates and consumer sentiment – to name just some variables.  To assert that the effect of several hot days on income can be screened from all manner of influences – natural or otherwise – is well beyond any reasonable interpretation of data. In summary, the authors use unvalidated computer models, opinions and assumptions and specious economic correlations to calculate down to two decimal places a climate liability for Chevron of $1.98 trillion – more than eight times the company’s market capitalization. The authors ignore the direct benefits of increasing CO2 – mainly an overall greening of Earth and record crop production from the gas’s fertilization effect. Although they note that fossil fuels have “produced immense prosperity,” even that is an understatement. After all, coal, oil and natural gas are largely responsible for sustaining 8 billion people – tenfold the population prior to the Industrial Revolution. Such facts, hopefully, would be considered should the faux science of Messrs. Callahan and Mankin ever be introduced to a judge and jury. –By Dr. Bruce Everett and Gordon Tomb This commentary was first published at The Daily Signal on June 2, 2025. The authors are with the CO2 Coalition, Fairfax, Virginia – Bruce Everett as a member of the board of directors and Gordon Tomb as a senior advisor. Dr. Everett has published a paper on the research of Callahan and Mankin. The post THE FAKE SCIENCE BEHIND OUTLAWING OIL– appeared first on Bikernet.com - Online Biker Magazine.

‘We Got It Wrong’: Major US Automaker Apologizes, Reintroduces V8 Engine Following Backlash

There’s been an unmistakable shift in the auto industry away from traditional engines and in favor of either EVs or gas-powered motors much smaller than what drivers are used to. But while that change might make the environmental activists on the left happy, it isn’t sitting well with typical motorists who want to hear the rumble of a big V8 under the hood. And to his credit, the CEO of Dodge-owned Ram has listened to the critics and promises to do something about it. According to the New York Post: The automaker had discontinued the beloved HEMI V-8 engine from its 2025 Ram trucks as part of a “woke” pivot by the since-ousted CEO of parent company Stellantis Carlos Tavares, But new Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, who came out of retirement last last year, offered up a mea culpa over the decision to pull the plug on the engine that powered the top-selling truck for decades. In a newly-released ad, Kuniskis publicly acknowledged the misstep and said Ram is reversing course by bringing back the gas-guzzling HEMI engine in 2026 models. “We own it. We got it wrong. And we’re fixing it,” Kuniskis announces in the commercial. Ram ditched the HEMI as part of its broader push toward meeting stricter emissions regulations enacted by the Biden administration as well as its goal of improving fuel efficiency across its lineup. President Trump administration has pushed to scrap many of Biden’s green initiatives. “When Ram made the decision to discontinue production of the iconic HEMI V-8, the internet erupted, and lifelong loyalists voiced their outrage across social media,” Lindsay Fifelski, head of Ram brand advertising, told Fast Company. News of the reversal quickly sparked social media calls for other automakers to do the same: Howdy @jimfarley98, Did you see the greatness Tim Kuniskis pulled off bringing back the Hemi? Can you go ahead and bring back the Powerstroke F150? That would be epic. Thanks bud,Charles — Charles F11 (@charlesf11) June 9, 2025 The continued unpopularity of EVs among the general population has already prompted similar strategy shifts across the automotive industry: Ford EV going really well, right? pic.twitter.com/pvJJTZ5Zqd — TeslaBoomerPapa (@TeslaBoomerPapa) June 3, 2025 5/ Industry is already responding. GM just announced: $4 BILLION to ramp up gas-powered car production $888 MILLION more for truck/SUV combustion engines EVs are great. But you shouldn’t be FORCED to buy one. Especially without enough power plants! pic.twitter.com/uuVJvYNAts — Rod D. Martin (@RodDMartin) June 12, 2025 Ram’s move has been underway for some time, as CNBC reported earlier this month: “Everyone makes mistakes, but how you handle them defines you. Ram screwed up when we dropped the Hemi — we own it and we fixed it,” Kuniskis said in a press release. “We’re not just bringing back a legendary V-8 engine, we’re igniting an assertive product plan and expanding the freedom of choice in powertrain for our customers.” The announcement marked the latest reversal in automakers’ plans this year, as EV adoption has been slower than expected and as the Trump administration has sought to unwind many of former President Joe Biden’s initiatives to push the auto industry away from gas-guzzling internal combustion engines. Here’s A Sneak Peek Of Today’s Massive Military Parade In Washington D.C.

The Army’s 250th Anniversary parade kicks off today. The parade begins at 6:30 pm Eastern Time and takes place on Constitution Avenue NW, between 23rd Street and 15th Street in Washington, D.C. Service members have already begun to practice marching the parade route. It’s meant to walk viewers through the history of American military conflict, with some historical uniforms and vehicles being used. Additionally, 34 horses, two mules and one dog – a Blue Heeler named Doc Holliday – will join the march. Already, the weekend festivities have racked up an expected price tag of between $25 million and $45 million, according to Army spokesperson Heather J. Hagan. That includes planned road repairs due to possible damage from tanks rolling on city streets. Trump is expected to participate in the parade as a spectator, but he is scheduled to receive a folded American flag, according to Army spokesman Steve Warren. Such a presentations are usually reserved for the families of fallen soldiers. The army says it expects around 200,000 attendees. Buckle up for one of the most epic days in American military history as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. Army! GOP Governor Takes ‘Proactive Approach,’ Declares State Of Emergency Ahead Of Planned Riots

Leftist rioters are planning to take to the streets across the U.S. this weekend after days of violent, destructive unrest in L.A. and certain other cities. While some Democratic leaders are ignoring the threat, or even encouraging the protesters to escalate their tactics, red-state officials are taking a much different approach. One notable example is Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe, who announced that he had activated the state’s National Guard troops ahead of the planned disturbances. According to The Hill: Missouri Executive Order 25-25 declares a State of Emergency and allows the Adjutant General to order service members to aid state officials. The order comes after the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri National Guard and Missouri Department of Public Safety established a Unified Command to monitor situations across the state and prepare local law enforcement. Additionally, the order also declares that the Adjutant General may employ necessary equipment to support authorities and provide assistance. While nationwide protests continue to flare up in response to the Trump administration’s immigration policies, Kehoe said his order is purely precautionary. “We respect, and will defend, the right to peacefully protest, but we will not tolerate violence or lawlessness in our state,” the governor said. “While other states may wait for chaos to ensue, the State of Missouri is taking a proactive approach in the event that assistance is needed to support local law enforcement in protecting our citizens and communities,” he added. Kehoe is just one of many prominent public officials calling for a swift and severe response to the threats posed by these anti-law enforcement protesters: Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd appears with Governor Ron DeSantis. Sheriff Grady Judd makes it clear the difference between a true peaceful protest and what the media has portrayed as a peaceful protest. Americans don’t ask for much. We want safe streets and law & order. pic.twitter.com/cNlGB79y1w — Governor Kevin Stitt (@GovStitt) June 13, 2025 This is our policy in FLORIDA regarding protesting mobs blocking or surrounding motorists from Governor DeSantis. This POLICY needs to be adopted in EVERY RED STATE.(We already know the BLUE ones won’t! ) “We have a policy that if you’re driving on one of those streets, and… pic.twitter.com/DwzraSHnKB — MAGA Kitty (@SaveUSAKitty) June 12, 2025 Meanwhile, Democrats are characteristically siding with America-hating rioters against the men and women seeking to restore order in communities nationwide. KMBC reported on some of the backlash to Kehoe’s recent order: House Minority Leader Ashley Aune said it was a “preemptive” declaration of emergency. Her statement: “Governor Kehoe’s preemptive declaration of a state of emergency as Missourians prepare to protest an increasingly authoritarian presidential administration is a blatant attempt to intimidate and suppress First Amendment rights. The protests planned this weekend across Missouri and throughout the nation were sparked by the president’s unwarranted and heavy-handed military response to opposition to his policies. By doing the same, the governor will only heighten tensions and increase the possibility of conflict. Governor Kehoe should staunchly defend the rights of Missourians, not mimic the authoritarianism of the president.” Here’s some additional coverage of the response in Missouri:

RIOT WATCH: Pointers For Those in the City, Before ‘No Kings’ Civil Disobedience “Protests”

Here’s a few pointers and info about tomorrow’s planned “protests” that come with free bricks. But first: Here’s a tip FOR TONIGHT, for those in the city: This is for those in big cities. Watch for the no kings protestors. pic.twitter.com/w4XAL3q73v — Sassafrass84 (@Sassafrass_84) June 13, 2025 Here’s some basic info regarding the planned riots, as reported by AP News: Opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration are set to rally in hundreds of cities on Saturday during the military parade in Washington to mark the Army’s 250th anniversary, which coincides with Trump’s birthday. The “No Kings” protests are set to take place to counter what organizers say are Trump’s plans to feed his ego on his 79th birthday and Flag Day. “No Kings” will follow several days of nationwide protests against federal immigration raids including in Los Angeles, where Trump’s deployment of the National Guard further agitated his opponents. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is following the president’s cue. Abbott said Thursday that he has ordered the deployment of more than 5,000 Texas National Guard troops, along with more than 2,000 state police, in response to the ongoing demonstrations and in preparation for the “No Kings” protests. The Army birthday celebration had already been planned. But earlier this spring, Trump announced his intention to ratchet up the event to include 60-ton M1 Abrams battle tanks and Paladin self-propelled howitzers rolling through the city streets. He has long sought a similar display of patriotic force. Why are they protesting on Saturday? (Because most people have the day off, duh! And it’s to mess up President Trump’s big event. AP News really isn’t that bright. Or they think their readers are dumb.) The No Kings Day of Defiance has been organized to reject authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics and the militarization of the country’s democracy, according to a statement by organizers. Organizers intend for the protests to counter the Army’s 250th anniversary celebration — which Trump has ratcheted up to include an expensive, lavish military parade. The event will feature hundreds of military vehicles and aircraft and thousands of soldiers. It also happens to be his 79th birthday and Flag Day. “The flag doesn’t belong to President Trump. It belongs to us,” the “No Kings” website says. “On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t — to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings.” Boy are these people daft. Shouting out “no thrones, no crowns, no kings” as a way to imply that there is a throne and a crown is such a lame attempt to smear Trump. But alas, many misguided youth will bite. Though, how many are doing it for a paycheck? The report goes on to say what they have planned for the “events”. But I’ll spare you. Because I think we all KNOW what they have planned. A repeat of what we say in L.A. One protester admitted they’re getting money and bricks: RED ALERT Paid Protesters Come forward stating that “No Kings” is paying them hundreds of dollars per day to Protest ICE, Providing Bricks and Molotov Cocktails “I didn’t sign up for this.” Some of them are stating that internal messaging from “No Kings” is telling them pallets of bricks and Molotov Cocktails will be in place at certain “target locations” Recently, I just showed you that Kentucky Gov Andrew Beshear is actively participating in “No Kings” Town Hall Zoom Meetings. @AndyBeshearKY has now aligned himself directly with TERRORISM! Now that we know “No Kings” is organizing Terrorism, the @FBI @FBIDirectorKash @Sec_Noem needs to shut it down and investigate WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS! Who? I think we now who. RED ALERT Paid Protesters Come forward stating that “No Kings” is paying them hundreds of dollars per day to Protest ICE, Providing Bricks and Molotov Cocktails “I didn’t sign up for this.” Some of them are stating that internal messaging from “No Kings” is telling them… pic.twitter.com/uCOLkASE3K — MJTruthUltra (@MJTruthUltra) June 12, 2025 Here’s two Jewish ladies, Randi Weingarten and Leah Greenberg, going over the protest and rallying support: EXCLUSIVE. Who is funding the anti-Trump #NoKings protests? It’s 198 companies with $2.1 billion in revenues. WATCH and READ to learn. I wanted to hear it straight from the source—so on Tuesday, I tuned into a live town hall with @AFTunion’s @RWeingarten, @TheRevAl Sharpton… pic.twitter.com/NMnpat0Kyb — Asra Nomani (@AsraNomani) June 13, 2025 So while President Trump shows support for Israel, these ladies are pushing for 1,900 riots? Some gratitude, eh? As for Tom Homan, tomorrow might be Christmas for him! There is over 1500 scheduled ‘protests’ tomorrow for the so called No Kings Day. Tom Homan has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever. pic.twitter.com/JK3v4vEXfb — AmericanPapaBear (@AmericaPapaBear) June 13, 2025 You know, this liberal has a great idea. I might just go to Burger King tomorrow and wear a crown during lunch just to mock their “no king” mantra. Ha! You know, he seems like a funny guy. Maybe in a different world, we’d get along and laugh over movie quotes from The Running Man. Oh, wait. Never mind. “Freemason” And he also isn’t seem moved by Trump’s support of Israel? What’s your take?

REPORT: John Fetterman Spent Anniversary At Popular MAGA Joint — With Top Trump Ally

Is Sen. John Fetterman about to officially turn to the MAGA side?… We’ve watched as this man has slowly become more and more red-pilled — most recently siding against every other Democrat lawmaker to condemn the anti-ICE riots happening in Los Angeles: I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement. pic.twitter.com/pPYbvP6xR0 — U.S. Senator John Fetterman (@SenFettermanPA) June 10, 2025 Now, we get this report. Apparently, Sen. Fetterman was recently spotted dining at a popular restaurant referred to as the “top MAGA hangout” in Washington, D.C. Not only that, but he was there hanging out with a Breitbart reporter and staunch Trump ally Steve Bannon. Fetterman spotted dining with Bannon at DC’s favorite MAGA restaurant, per Playbook pic.twitter.com/KE8DlELyr7 — Igor Bobic (@igorbobic) June 10, 2025 A report from Politico claims: EYES-EMOJI SPOTTED: John Fetterman, the not-uncontroversial Democratic senator for Pennsylvania, dining in D.C.’s top MAGA hangout Butterworth’s on Monday evening. Fetterman was joined by Breitbart’s Matt Boyle, plus — for a good 20 minutes or so — Steve Bannon. Now that’s a conversation Playbook would have liked to overhear. And not only that, it was his wedding anniversary. But, his wife wasn’t there with him. This comes amid speculation that Fetterman and his wife Gisele are having marriage issues since last year. Social media sleuths uncovered that little detail that Politico missed: Pretty sure it was his anniversary too https://t.co/TK57ftpZXl pic.twitter.com/j6dIoMVcTw — SeanKitchen.bsky.social (@pennslinger) June 10, 2025 The New York Post noted: Monday was Fetterman’s 17th anniversary with wife Gisele, whom he tied the knot with in 2008, according to an interview she gave with Philly Magazine two years ago. Gisele, who has kept a low profile over recent months, has an upcoming memoir, “Radical Tenderness: The Value of Vulnerability in an Often Unkind World,” in which she opens up about her marriage. At one point, she recounted a conversation with her son, who asked about whether his parents would divorce. “Once, after Karl came home from a sleepover, he jumped in the car and shared that his friend’s parents were getting divorced. The friend was devastated, he said. ‘Would you and Dad ever get divorced?’ he asked,” she wrote, according to an excerpt previewed by Chronicles Magazine earlier this week. “John and I responded at the same time from the front seat. ‘No,’ said John. ‘Maybe,’ I responded. John was, understandably, surprised by my response. But I explained that, though I loved him and hoped we’d always be together, I wanted to be realistic and honest with the kids about all of life’s possibilities.” When asked about his dinner at the MAGA hotspot, Fetterman didn’t say much. But, he didn’t deny it. One of his spokesmen later claimed that Fetterman was not dining with Steve Bannon, but rather just ran into him randomly and talked with him. From The Hill: Fetterman dined that night with Matt Boyle, the Washington bureau chief for Breitbart, according to Politico’s Playbook, which first reported the interaction. He did not have dinner with Bannon. “Oh my gosh, I don’t have anything,” Fetterman said when asked about the dinner, although he did not deny the report. It’s unknown what the men discussed. After this story was posted, a spokesman for Fetterman told The Hill: “The run-in with Bannon was inadvertent and impromptu.” Bannon is a frequent customer at Butterworth’s, which has attracted increasing attention as a watering hole for supporters of President Trump. An inauguration weekend crowd included FBI Director Kash Patel, tech mogul Elon Musk, and the conservative blogger Curtis Yarvin. What are your thoughts?
