Yahya Sinwar‚ the Hamas terrorist leader who was the mastermind behind the brutal October 7 attack on Israel‚ is hiding behind at least 15 hostages‚ according to American and Israeli officials‚ The New York Times reported. As the U.S.‚ Israel‚ and Egypt push Hamas to release the remaining hostages — which include as many as six Americans — Sinwar is negotiating behind a human shield made up of the very people Israeli forces are trying to rescue‚ officials said. The Times cited “people briefed on the negotiations” between Hamas and Israel who have blamed Sinwar for preventing a deal from being made that would release the hostages. The outlet added that Sinwar is negotiating “from his hiding space deep in the tunnels below Gaza‚” adding that his human shield of hostages “prevent[s] Israel from assassinating him.” Former U.S. Army Vice Chief of Staff General Jack Keane also told Sky News that Sinwar could have as many as 20 hostages surrounding him and his family. “My sources tell me that Sinwar‚ who is the number one leader in Gaza of the Hamas organization‚ has 15-20 hostages protecting him and his family‚” Keane said. U.S. officials made similar comments‚ in concurrence with Israeli intelligence‚ about Sinwar using hostages as human shields in February. Hamas terrorists kidnapped hundreds of civilians and soldiers from Israel during its October 7 attack. Israeli and U.S. officials said last month that it’s unclear how many hostages remain alive in Gaza. Sinwar’s brutality has been evident over the course of Hamas’ war with Israel as he said in November that the October 7 attack on Israel that killed 1‚200 people “was just a rehearsal.” Hamas terrorists have also said after being captured that the leaders of the terrorist organization‚ including Sinwar‚ hide under hospitals in Gaza. Officials added that one of the women Bin Laden was hiding behind was also killed.

Georgia’s Republican Governor Brian Kemp signed a law that will require jails to check the immigration status of inmates and collaborate with federal immigration officials. The law‚ HB1105‚ would threaten to strip funding from sheriff’s offices that refuse to work with federal immigration officials when they have individuals in their custody who appear to be in the country illegally. Kemp said that the legislation “became one of our top priorities following the senseless death of Laken Riley at the hands of someone in this country illegally who had already been arrested even after crossing the border.” “If you enter our country illegally and proceed to commit further crime in our communities‚ we will not allow your crimes to go unanswered‚” the Republican Governor went on to add. An illegal immigrant from Venezuela named Jose Ibarra was charged in the murder of 22 year-old Laken Riley after she was found dead in a wooded area near the University of Georgia in Athens. An autopsy found that Riley had died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head‚ with the investigation also finding that Ibarra had dragged her body to a secluded location in an attempt to conceal his alleged crime. Ibarra’s charges included malice murder‚ felony murder‚ aggravated assault‚ kidnapping‚ hindering a 911 call‚ and concealing the death of another. Ibarra had previously been arrested in New York in 2022 and was charged with acting in a manner to injure a child younger than 17. The new Georgia law comes amid an unprecedented crisis on the southern border‚ with immigration officials recording over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways since Joe Biden took office. There were only 445‚000 total reported gotaways for 2018‚ 2019‚ and 2020 under the Trump administration. A number of recent public opinion surveys have found that Americans are broadly critical of Biden’s handling of the border‚ with residents in blue states like Colorado and Massachusetts naming immigration as the top issue facing their states. Another poll found that just 20 percent of voters across the country believe that the United States has control over its borders‚ while a separate survey revealed that only 36 percent of voters approve of Biden’s handling of the critical election year issue.

The professors at Columbia are fighting mad at the administration because the administration dared to call the cops on the good little cosplay terrorists.  Columbia professor Joseph Slaughter declared: I can understand that the building occupation is a different matter than a completely peaceful‚ nonviolent encampment that had existed on the campus for the last ten days or so.  But the fact that the building can be occupied is partly‚ is due partly to the gross mismanagement of this administration. In short‚ Columbia University was founded to teach eternal truths‚ to pursue the knowledge of nature and nature’s God‚ and to create good citizens and good men. By 1968‚ Columbia University was faced with a choice: to continue to promulgate its original mission of fostering virtue and good citizenship in accordance with eternal knowledge‚ or to become an activist training center. It opted for the latter with an adjunct school attached. In 1968‚ the president of Columbia University was Grayson Kirk. That year‚ he gave a speech in Charlottesville‚ Virginia‚ where he tore into the spate of university unrest plaguing the country. He said: Our young people‚ in disturbing numbers‚ appear to reject all forms of authority‚ from whatever source derived‚ and they have taken refuge in a turbulent and inchoate nihilism whose sole objectives are destruction. That statement proceeded to touch off an extraordinary crisis at Columbia University when Mark Rudd‚ a leader of the Radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)‚ led a student takeover of multiple campus buildings‚ including Hamilton Hall. Sound familiar&;#63; Professional activists from around the country‚ including Tom Hayden and Stokely Carmichael‚ quickly descended on the campus. Sound familiar&;#63; One week later‚ the police were called in. Hundreds of people were arrested. Some were wounded. Weeks later‚ another student takeover broke out. The university promptly canceled finals‚ dropped charges against the offenders‚ and finally capitulated to student demands to divest from cooperation with the Pentagon. Kirk was then forced out. His eventual replacement was William James McGill‚ a committed man of the Left who’d gotten famous at the University of California San Diego‚ having hired Herbert Marcuse‚ one of the heroes of the Left. He quickly pledged to “cement the rapport” between students‚ faculty‚ and administration. In 1971‚ McGill said the university should take the lead in enforcing the federal government’s equal rights mandates because “no other part of society is as responsive to social change as we are.” In 1972‚ when protesters took over campus buildings again‚ he refused to involve the police‚ preferring to “ride this one out.” Fast forward about half a century‚ and universities are now full-scale Left-wing activism centers. The current president of Columbia University is an Egyptian-American economist‚ Minouche Shafik. In an interview with Columbia magazine upon taking this role‚ Shafik explained what a university is for: The problems the world is facing today are so complex‚ and so pressing‚ that new ideas are needed to address them. Great universities like Columbia excel at generating new ideas. … Supporting faculty and students who want to get their ideas out into the world will help‚ but there’s more to it. The chaos we are now seeing at universities from ignorant radicals masquerading as incisive‚ revolutionary truth-tellers is not a bug of the college system. It is now the point. Our universities increasingly treat activism as the main focus. These universities are‚ in fact‚ little indoctrination machines generating activists. That’s what they are for. They recruit activists‚ and then they promote those activists. Why&;#63; Because this is the jet fuel of Left-wing movements. Not only is he scared of young voters‚ but he also sees them as the future. He sees them as the most passionate‚ most dedicated members of his coterie. They’re the vanguard of the revolution because these are the makings of the future Democratic Party. These are the activists being trained at Columbia University.
