CBS News host Margaret Brennan faced intense backlash on Sunday after she claimed during an interview with Secretary of State Marco Rubio that “free speech was weaponized” to cause the Holocaust. Brennan made the comment during an interview on “Face the Nation” while talking about Vice President JD Vance’s speech to European leaders last week in which he called them out for abandoning values like free speech. “He was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide,” Brennan said while talking about Vance’s speech in Munich, Germany. Brennan was met with instant pushback online over her claim, including from top elected leaders. Sen. It can be tough to come up with fun ideas for date night, especially when you’ve been in a long-term relationship for a while. So, one couple decided to get particularly creative during their romantic evening together. Their unique date night idea involved lots of colorful clay and perhaps a little more attention to detail than they were initially expecting! It looks like they had the best time, though. In an adorable slideshow on social media, a woman posted photos from what she called “clay date night.” During their foray into the sculpting arts, she and her fiancé attempted to recreate a variety of cute figures using packets of clay in different hues. To demonstrate how well they’d done, she compared pictures of the original designs to their own creations. “Clay date night with my fiancé but it progressively gets worse,” she joked in the post. Here’s how the couple’s clay sculptures turned out. At the beginning of the slideshow, the woman shared an image of a darling little pickle sculpture with a tiny smile on its face. Then, she showcased her and her fiancé’s respective attempts to recreate the character. Hers was pretty close, but her partner’s didn’t quite make the grade. However, the man more than made up for it by adding some hilarious details to the figure, such as eyebrows and a hat! While the woman had done her best to copy the original, her fiancé added his own spin to the sculpture. What’s a frog wizard without a wand, after all? Although this bird wasn’t wearing any detailed accessories, it looks like the shape was still pretty difficult to recreate. Both partners seem to have had some trouble with the animal’s body, as their sculptures were a bit lumpy. However, this time they each supplied their own special touch to the creature. While the woman put a dapper necktie on her goose, her fiancé gave his a little hat. This Lusitano stallion had been working hard with her owner, PJ Rizvi, in order to give the best performance.
