During the Oscars awards show at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles‚ the 37-year-old actress got emotional before she took the stage to accept the award for Best Supporting Actress‚ her first ever Oscar and first nomination. “God is good. God is so good‚” Randolph told the room of Hollywood stars. “God is so good.” Randolph then told the story of how she was never supposed to be part of Hollywood and how it was her mother who gave her the encouragement to try something different.
