The band’s Don Henley and Glenn Frey had a few “priceless” comments. “I want to thank (manager) Irving Azoff, without whom we wouldn’t be here today,” said Henley. “Well, we might still be here,” blurted out Frey. “But we wouldn’t have made as much money.” No worries there. With five #1 singles, six #1 albums, The Eagles have sold more than 200 million records worldwide, including 100 million in the U.S. alone. Nearly half of those U.S. sales were from “Their Greatest Hits” collection which has moved over 45 million copies. The Eagles were inducted during their first year of eligibility (twenty-five years after their first release).
