Briley King Garners Mixed Reviews On Lampshade-Inspired “Homemade Hermès” Outfit For “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” Performance

That was certainly… a choice. Last night, the talented Briley King, wife of the talented, Marcus King, announced she will release an official cover of “The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia.” Her clip of an impromptu backstage rendition of it has gone super viral on TikTok, and many fans have been asking for her to put out a studio cut. @kidsmealsupreme♬ original sound – Briley King Well, ask and you shall receive, because it will be out very soon, on October 1st, that will feature Ella Langley and the Marcus King Band, which she shared during a live performance at the Grand Ole Opry last night. @kidsmealsupremeAnd this comes out 10.1.25♬ The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia – Briley King & Marcus King Band But it wasn’t necessarily her performance that had people talking… it was her outfit. Briley posts about her fashion inspiration and outfit choices quite often on social media, and even owns her own hat brand, Little Brid Trucking. Her style is certainly eccentric and quirky, which I can appreciate in many aspects. It’s hard to argue that she doesn’t look amazing on most occasions. But the lampshade-inspired dress Briley wore onstage last night was a choice, to put it mildly. I’ve never seen an outfit like this before, and I guess she was trying to pay homage to the lines where it says the “lights went out in Georgia,” but fans on social media certainly were not “here for it,” as the kids say these days. Apparently it’s a “homemade Hermès”? Obviously, fashion is subjective, and I’m sure there are some people who will love the daring choice, which also appears on the song cover art: @americansongwriter Live from the Grand Ole Opry TONIGHT (9/22), Marcus King and Briley King took to the stage to cover the viral Reba song, “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” resurging right now due to Briley’s recent rendition on socials. #brileyking #marcusking #thenightthelightswentoutingeorgia #fyp #grandoleopry @Briley King @Marcus King ♬ original sound – American Songwriter But of course, the comments section remains undefeated: “What is her outfit?” “Everyone who let her go out like that should be charged with a crime!” “Is that a Christmas tree skirt?” “WHAT is she wearing.” “I love her unique and crazy style but the lamp shade is pmo.” “What is she WEARING.” “I really enjoy Briley’s singing but what is that outfit?” “Why she got on a lampshade?” “Why is she wearing a lamp shade?” “There it is. I couldn’t find my missing lampshade.” “What in the lampshade is that? “It’s a rodeo clown.” “It’s the lamp from ‘A Christmas Story'” “She got you talking about her though didn’t she?” Let’s just say, the song is better than the outfit and I think her wearing it actually kind of distracts from the performance, but it’s clearly the artistic choice that worked for her. At at the end of the day, it’s one performance and some album art… fans will care much more about the song being available. Luke & Nicole Combs Announce They Are Expecting Their 3rd Child This Winter

Congrats to the Combs family. As Luke Combs continues to tease more music seemingly by the day, the “Beautiful Crazy” singer’s life is about to change once again. After welcoming their firstborn, Tex, in June of 2022, their second son, Beau, was born in August of 2023. As you’d expect from an artist like Combs, Tex and Beau, have become not only the centerpiece of his life as a husband and father but also a critical part of his evolution as an artist, which was highlighted in his 2024 album, Fathers & Sons. Just announced via Instagram by his wife, Nicole, the couple is expecting a third child this winter, with the caption reading: “Third time’s a charm! Baby #3 coming this winter.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by NICOLE COMBS (@nicolejcombs) In the video backed by Combs’ recently-teased, unreleased song, “Days Like These,” Luke and Nicole are shown sitting in a field with Tex and Beau before showing them an ultrasound of their third child. The emotional moment is captured by the children raising their hands up in celebration before the camera cuts to a close-up of the ultrasound itself as the family walks away in the background. The announcement video itself has already broken the internet, racking up over 890,000 views, 144,000 likes and over 1,300 comments on Instagram alone as of writing, with many fans and fellow artists alike congratulating the couple and sending prayers their way for a healthy pregnancy. Familiar faces around the genre took to the comment section to congratulate the Combs family, including the likes of Charles Wesley Godwin, Bailey Zimmerman, Jordan Davis and more. “Let’s go!” – Charles Wesley Godwin “YOOOO OH MY GOSHHH” – Bailey Zimmerman “LETS GOOOOOOOO… Congrats Fam” – Jordan Davis “Ma’am!? Congratulations!!” – Paige Ginn As of now, the Combs have not revealed the gender, or the name, of their third child. Before you go, listen to Combs’ emotional tribute to fatherhood, “The Man He Sees in Me,” here: Luke Combs Tour Dates: September 26 – London, UK – Royal Albert Hall October 3 – Austin, TX –  Austin City Limits Music Festival October 5 – Ocean City, MD – Country Calling October 10 – Austin, TX – Austin City Limits Music Festival October 23, 25 – Miramar Beach, FL – Bootleggers BonfireThe post Luke & Nicole Combs Announce They Are Expecting Their 3rd Child This Winter first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Ryan Bingham Releases New Single, “The Lucky Ones,” Announces ‘The All Night Long Tour’

Ryan Bingham does not miss. The Yellowstone actor and “Southside of Heaven” singer is gifting fans with a brand new single, “The Lucky Ones,” ahead of his historic performance with Zach Bryan and John Mayer on September 27th at Michigan Stadium—the largest football stadium in the Western Hemisphere. That stadium is the largest in the U.S., officially holding 107,601 people, although it has accommodated crowds of more than 115,000. In June of 2024, George Strait packed 110,905 people into Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, breaking the record for the North American attendance record for ticketed concerts, but this concert is expected to break that record. Released today, September 23rd, via The Bingham Recording Co./Thirty Tigers, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen are delivering a message of love and loss with their new single “The Lucky Ones.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ryan Bingham (@ryanbinghamofficial) Penned by longtime bandmate and close friend, Cody Huggins, “The Lucky Ones” will be featured on Bingham’s next studio album. Although the album has yet to be formally announced, Bingham has shared a quite a few songs lately. “The Lucky Ones” follows the release of tunes like “A Song For The Stone” and “Americana,” which fans also hope will appear on his next studio project. “The Lucky Ones” is a truly poignant message about love and loss, seemingly a road warrior anthem for those who are chasing dreams. However, that kind of life comes with spending time away from those you love and seeing others face hardships and struggles. While dealing with your own demons, you have got to keep chugging ahead. The lyrics are almost an oxymoron, noting that yes, they are lucky to live this chaotic and fulfilling life, but being a “lucky” one comes at a high cost. “Two hands on the wheel My eyes on the road How far, how long can we go From a back road to a heavy load A highway from home Leading us on further away Oh, they called us the lucky ones They called us the lucky ones.” Bingham’s deep and calming vocals flawlessly deliver the message, which the melody perfectly accompanies. Along with the new single, Bingham announced a new tour, The All Night Long Tour, which he and the Texas Gentlemen will embark on in October and will wrap before Christmas. Bingham seemingly has a lot in store, and shares that he plans to share some new tunes on stage at Michigan Stadium and on these tour dates. He shared via a press release that he knows he’s one of “They Lucky Ones” and is fired up about hitting the road to share both old and new songs with his fans. “I am absolutely fired up about this album and our next run of tour dates. The Texas Gentlemen are a blast, and our friend Cody couldn’t have written a better song than ‘The Lucky Ones’ to relate to our way of life, love, and loss. It takes a whole lot of luck to get down the road.” Ryan Bingham is one of the best in the business, and “The Lucky Ones” amplifies that.
