Obama Judge Tosses Case Shielding UN Agency Tied To Hamas Terror

U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres has dismissed a high-profile lawsuit accusing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) of enabling Hamas’s October 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel. Filed in New York by about 100 Israeli plaintiffs—including survivors, victims’ families, and a former hostage—the case sought more than $1 billion in damages, alleging UNRWA bolstered Hamas’s terror infrastructure through indirect funding and logistical support. The central legal issue in the case was whether UNRWA, as part of the United Nations, could be held accountable in U.S. courts. Judge Torres, a 2013 Obama appointee, ruled that UNRWA was immune from litigation under international law, stating, “Because UNRWA is a subsidiary organ of the United Nations and has not waived its immunity, this court lacks subject matter jurisdiction over Plaintiffs’ claims.” This ruling directly contradicted the position of the Trump-era Department of Justice, which in April 2025 had submitted a brief rejecting the notion of immunity for UNRWA. That brief asserted that UNRWA had played a “significant role in the heinous offenses” committed by Hamas on October 7, in which approximately 1,200 people were killed and 250 taken hostage. It further argued that neither UNRWA nor its Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini should be protected from suit in U.S. courts. The Trump DOJ argued that international organizations like UNRWA are not automatically entitled to immunity, stating, “The Constitution does not grant immunity to foreign sovereigns or organizations. Instead, such immunity is a matter of grace and comity.” Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  The lawsuit stated that UNRWA was “knowingly providing Hamas with the U.S. dollars in cash that it needed to pay smugglers for weapons, explosives and other terror materiel.” It also stated that UNRWA allegedly aided Hamas by paying staff in U.S. dollars, knowing they would have to exchange them through Hamas-linked money changers, thereby generating a steady income stream for the terror group. Adding to the controversy, revelations in 2024 confirmed that nine UNRWA employees were fired after a U.N. internal investigation found they “may have been involved” in the October 7 attack. Under Biden, the DOJ maintained that UNRWA remained shielded under international law and diplomatic immunity. The Trump DOJ challenged that tradition, seeking accountability for international actors accused of supporting terrorism. Torres’ ruling undercuts a significant legal effort to hold international organizations accountable for allegedly enabling terror.

Dems Peeved That Media Sees Through Their ‘No Healthcare For Illegals’ Lie

Democrats have repeatedly insisted that they did not shut the government down over a demand for healthcare for illegal aliens, and several of them have expressed their displeasure at the media outlets willing to call them out on that lie. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) got testy with “CBS Mornings” host Tony Dokoupil on Thursday, claiming that it wasn’t “strictly true” when he challenged her directly on the issue. “So, Senator, you know, Republicans say what you’re really fighting for is taxpayer dollars for, as they put it, illegal aliens. I know that’s not strictly true but there is a provision –” Dokoupil began. “Oh, excuse me, not strictly true,” Warren’s protest was immediate. “It’s not directly true, but –” Dokoupil tried again. “It is a flat-out lie. It is a flat-out lie,” Warren insisted. “There is nothing in Medicaid, nothing in Medicare, that permits one undocumented immigrant to get one dollar of assistance. None.” “Sorry, in the Democratic counteroffer the proposal for funding, there is a restoration of Medicaid benefits for certain noncitizens that had been taken away in the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill,’ as Republicans put it,” Dokoupil pushed back. WATCH: Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren explodes when ‘CBS Mornings’ co-host Tony Dokoupil points out Democrats do, in fact, want to provide health care to “noncitizens…on the taxpayer dime.” Warren snapped back by declaring “it’s not strictly true” and “a flat-out lie”….… pic.twitter.com/fOSqgcSdUI — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 2, 2025 On CNN, a very similar scene played out between anchor Jake Tapper and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). “Here’s a provision … it shows you want to give illegal aliens healthcare,” Tapper noted. Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  “It’s a lie!” Jeffries protested. “It’s a lie — but, what you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, which pays for undocumented immigrants … and a provision for people seeking asylum and ‘temporary protected status,’ noncitizens … why even include that?” Tapper asked. ? HOLY CRAP! Hakeem Jeffries REGRETS going on CNN, Jake Tapper just embarrassed him. pic.twitter.com/KmdS9gMxJN TAPPER: Here’s a provision…it shows you want to give illegal aliens healthcare… JEFFRIES: It’s a lie! TAPPER: It’s a lie – BUT, what you support DOES bring back… — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) October 1, 2025 Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) attempted to claim that she’d never heard anyone in her party calling for providing healthcare for illegals — and Fox News host Lawrence Jones responded with video evidence of members of her party doing exactly that. “I haven’t heard anybody in my party saying illegal immigrants should get access to the health insurance marketplace,” she said. Jones showed a clip of Democrats on the 2020 debate stage, and then replied, “That’s literally every member of your party from moderate to more progressive that have said that in the past.” Democrat Sen. Several people posted videos and still photos from one of the 2020 Democratic primary debates, when every Democrat on the stage raised a hand to confirm that all of their healthcare plans would include coverage for “undocumented immigrants.” The question was: Raise your hand if your healthcare plan covers illegal immigrants. pic.twitter.com/xS4WYIZCo5 — Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) October 2, 2025

‘This Attack Is On You’: Fury At Britain’s Security Boss After Synagogue Bloodshed

The British Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, — a member of the ruling Labour Party that has falsely accused Israel of genocide — was criticized after offering a statement on the killings of two Jews at a Manchester synagogue by a reputed Islamic terrorist. On Thursday — as Jews started to mark Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, by fasting for 25 hours and praying at synagogues— a British citizen of Syrian descent named Jihad Al-Shamie rammed people with his vehicle and then attacked one person with a knife, killing two Jews and wounding others. Three other people were arrested in connection with the attack. Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  “I am horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack at a synagogue on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar,” Mahmood wrote on X. “The government has stepped up security at synagogues across the whole of the country, and we will do whatever is required to keep our Jewish community safe. To those who seek to divide us: they will fail.” I am horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack at a synagogue on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. To those… pic.twitter.com/sdf0ZcKW6N — Shabana Mahmood MP (@ShabanaMahmood) October 2, 2025 In response to claims that the toxic antisemitic atmosphere in Britain was a contributor to the attack, Mahmood replied, “The only person responsible for this devastating attack is the attacker himself. He is the one who bears the responsibility for what has happened. “  Mahmood was taken to task by critics: The Labour rats are running around pretending to care about the Jewish community. This attack is on you. https://t.co/tPhvwS8g7Z pic.twitter.com/5tPcHdbFOk — Tommy Robinson ?? PROBLEM. pic.twitter.com/btGHL11uzA — Avi Yemini (@OzraeliAvi) October 2, 2025 You're not 'horrified'. You incited this. You've said that 'Islamophobia' is the biggest threat to Britain. It's obvious to all rational people that Islam is the biggest threat to Britain. — Geoffrey Miller (@primalpoly) October 2, 2025   In 2014, Mahmood joined a pro-Palestinian demonstration and later uploaded a YouTube video in which she appeared to boast about forcing a store to shut down for selling products from Judea and Samaria. “There’s been a huge response today just here in central Birmingham, incredible to see, and the passion here of all of the people campaigning is incredible to see,” she said. Just last week, Mahmood ripped into the “Unite the Kingdom” rally held in central London on September 13, declaring, “On the 13th of September, 150,000 people marched through London. They did so under the banner of a convicted criminal and a former BNP member. While not everyone was violent, some were. … While not everyone chanted racist slogans, some did, clear in their view of this country, I have no place. It would be easy to dismiss this as nothing but an angry minority, heirs to the skinheads and Paki-bashers of old.” It might be instructive to note Mahmood’s comments on “Paki-bashers,” as many Pakistani men have been involved in the massive numbers of the raping of British young girls. As AP noted in June: In a statement to Parliament, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said a new review of data from three police forces found “clear evidence of over-representation among suspects of Asian and Pakistani heritage men” who prey on often young and vulnerable girls and women. But the review, published Monday, found that ethnicity data was “shied away from” and not recorded for two-thirds of perpetrators in crimes involving ”grooming gangs” — those involving multiple perpetrators coercing, manipulating and deceiving children into sex, the review said.

Morning Brief: Shutdown Day 3, Deadly Synagogue Attack, And Leonardo DiCaprio’s New Political Movie

The White House plans deep cuts to “Democrat agencies” as the government shutdown continues, a terrorist attacks an Orthodox synagogue killing two and wounding more, and Leonardo DiCaprio stars in a new political blockbuster. It’s Friday, October 3, 2025, and this is the news you need to know to start your day. Morning Wire is available on video! You can watch today’s episode here: If you would rather listen to your news, today’s edition of the Morning Wire podcast can be heard below: Shutdown Day 3 Topline: The government shutdown enters its third day, as the blame game continues and President Donald Trump threatens mass firings of federal employees.  The GOP strategy: The White House wants to make the shutdown about healthcare funding for illegal immigrants. It says the Democrat proposal would result in $200 billion in subsidies going to non-citizens over the next decade, primarily through Medicaid and mandatory emergency care. The White House argues that the American people elected President Trump to cut those exact policies, and by blocking him from doing so, Democrats are denying the will of the people. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “Trump ran on the promise to end taxpayer-funded benefits going to illegal aliens, and tens of millions of Americans voted him back to this beautiful White House to implement that promise … and now Democrats want to undo it — and they’re holding our country hostage.” The White House says the United States will lose $15 billion in GDP revenue each week the shutdown drags on, and it wants to ensure Democrats bear the blame, posting news clips on social media describing national guardsmen going unpaid, food assistance for low-income single mothers drying up, etc. Get 40% off new DailyWire+ annual memberships with code FALL40 at checkout!  A number of federal websites had new banners on Thursday — the official Justice Department homepage, for example, read “Democrats have shut down the government … websites are not currently updated.”  Trump’s austerity: The president is targeting “non-essential” federal employees for termination as part of his broader government efficiency efforts. He posted on social media that he “had a meeting today with Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame, to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut … I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity.” Yom Kippur Synagogue Attack Topline: A knife-wielding man targeted a synagogue in Manchester, England, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. The U.K.’s counterterrorism police have deemed the attack a “terrorist incident.” Timeline: Authorities first received calls at around 9:30 a.m. local time about a man driving his vehicle into pedestrians outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue. The suspect, identified as Jihad al-Shamie, a 35-year-old British citizen who is of Syrian descent, then got out of his vehicle and began stabbing people around him. Authorities have confirmed that two people have been killed and four others were injured. The suspect was shot and killed by police about 7-8 minutes after authorities were first called.  The attack: The terrorist was not able to enter the actual synagogue because the entrance was locked and barricaded. When he exited the vehicle, he immediately encountered synagogue security and other members who stopped him. Step back: About 30,000 Jewish people reside in Manchester – outside of London, it’s home to the largest Jewish community in the country. Antisemitic incidents in the U.K. have hit record levels after the October 7th attack by Hamas in Israel. In the first half of this year alone, there have been more than 1,500 reported incidents. “One Battle After Another” Topline: A new film by celebrated director Paul Thomas Anderson starring Leonardo DiCaprio is earning high praise from critics and solid numbers at the box office – but it’s also stirring up debate about its potentially polarizing political themes. National Review contributor Giancarlo Sopo joined Morning Wire to discuss the film, “One Battle After Another.” What is the film about? “I think to understand ‘One Battle After Another,’ you have to understand the book that it’s based on, and it’s Thomas Pynchon’s ‘Vineland.’ Essentially, it’s a story about a bunch of radicals who have gotten burned out, have attempted to attack government installations and institutions using violence. Now they are being hunted. So, it’s a satire, right? You’ve got radicals on one side, and then on the right, you’re going to have a bunch of racist, autocratic thugs, essentially, coming after them who are part of this paramilitary organization that is also tied, by the way, to a secret society of races called the Christmas Adventurers Club.” Is it a political movie? “I think the film’s political sympathies are obviously with the progressive left. At the same time, though, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a political movie. I would look at it more as Antifa Star Wars, as a friend told me, where the politics and the radicalism is kind of used as a vehicle to tell a father-daughter story. You have this burned-out dad who spends all day smoking weed and watching ‘The Battle Of Algiers,’ bringing up a young daughter, who’s a teenager now, entirely by himself. And he’s having a hard time communicating with her. There are very funny, generational conflicts as tends to happen to those who have kids now are starting to figure that out.” Is there any sympathy for people considered to be on the right in the film? “The thing with the movie is that no one’s really in the center, right? Or really the center left or much less the middle. It follows a set of extremists on both sides. And what the story is telling you on the political side is that these ideologies are pulling people away from what matters most to them in life, which should be their own children. There are very clear passages in the film that communicate that. I don’t think anyone is portrayed here sympathetically in the film, to be candid with you, with the exception of the teenage girl.”

Complete List Of Rockpile Songs From A to Z

Rockpile came together in London during the mid 1970s, built around the talents of guitarist and vocalist Dave Edmunds and bassist Nick Lowe. Both men had already established reputations through solo work, but when they began collaborating they developed one of the tightest live bands of the era. The lineup was solidified with guitarist Billy Bremner and drummer Terry Williams, giving Rockpile the energy and precision that would define their short but celebrated run. Despite their strong chemistry, contractual obligations often prevented them from releasing material under the Rockpile name, so much of their recorded work appeared on solo albums The post Complete List Of Rockpile Songs From A to Z appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

2 Years Later, ‘Much of the World No Longer Remembers Oct. 7’

WASHINGTON—The brutal Hamas-led attacks in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, left some 1,200 dead. I never would have predicted that, two years later, Hamas would continue to imprison hostages, refuse to release the bodies of dead detainees and still be rewarded with increasing recognition of a Palestinian state. Terrorists proudly documented their brutality for the world to see. “The astonishing fact was that at more than 30 locations, more than 3,000 Hamas fighters, along with numerous Palestinian civilians, had broken through the fence between Israel and Gaza,” Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst wrote of that day in his book “Black Saturday: An Unfiltered Account of the October 7th Attack on Israel and the War in Gaza.” “Hamas gunmen were going door-to-door, systematically executing civilians. In some homes, grenades were thrown into living rooms and bedrooms. In others, children were shot in front of their parents, their bodies disfigured. Terrified residents clung to their bomb shelter doors as militants fired on the handles,” Yingst wrote of Hamas’ Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. “When they were unsuccessful at breaching the rooms, Hamas burned houses down, reducing the people inside to ash after they suffocated from the smoke. Those not immediately killed were kidnapped and taken hostage into Gaza.” At Harvard, pro-Palestinian students jumped into action with a statement that held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all the unfolding violence.” Which, in America, used to be known as blaming the victims. Meanwhile, progressive activists turned big-name university quads into their own private camping grounds, classrooms were occupied and scholarship took a holiday. To their shock, many Jewish students faced virulent antisemitism at institutions they thought would shield them. College administrators got sucked into the controversy. Within the year, three university presidents—Harvard’s Claudine Gay, Columbia University’s Minouche Shafik, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Liz Magill—resigned. Since the initial shock of the worst violence against Jews since the Holocaust, the international community’s focus sadly has moved from shock and revulsion at what Hamas planned and executed to a condemnation of Israel for defending itself. A Forgotten Atrocity During September’s United Nations General Assembly, dozens of delegates walked out during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scorching address, in which he observed, “Much of the world no longer remembers Oct. 7.” Even stalwarts are feeling the heat. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, a supporter of Israel, recently argued, “Israel has exceeded the limits of proportionality.” What does that even mean? Foundation for Defense of Democracies Executive Director Jonathan Schanzer wondered. Schanzer told me that he cannot remember when international pressure to end a conflict was wielded against the actors who did not initiate hostilities. “The Israelis seem to have a unique fate,” Schanzer said. “It seems like actually every time the Israelis fight back against their aggressors, within a short amount of time, they are pressured to stop fighting.” A recent New York Times/Siena poll captures the change in public sentiment. In 2023, nearly half of Americans sympathized more with Israelis, while 1 in 5 sympathized more with Palestinians. Now 34% sympathize more with Israelis and 35% more with Palestinians. Palestinian deaths in the Israel-Hamas war had exceeded 65,000 in September, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry. The group’s body count conveniently does not distinguish between citizens and terrorists. Apparently, that’s by design. In August, senior Hamas member Ghazi Hamad told Al Jazeera, “The initiative by several countries to recognize a Palestinian state is one of the fruits of Oct. 7.” Which now sounds a lot like “Mission accomplished.” As far as Hamas leadership is concerned, the cost in Palestinian lives was worth it, Brian Katulis, senior fellow of the Middle East Institute, told me. Trump Wants End to the War President Donald Trump, however, wants to end the killing by ending the war in Gaza. And that changes everything. Monday at the White House, Trump and Netanyahu announced a 20-point plan to end the war that includes the immediate release of “all hostages, alive and deceased,” amnesty for Hamas members who agree to disarm, and, following the hostage release, freedom for 250 prisoners and 1,700 Gazans detained after Oct. 7, 2023. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, according to the plan. “Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough,” the plan noted. According to one provision, Hamas and other terrorist factions would agree to have no role in the governance of Gaza. There also would be a new international transitional body, a “Board of Peace” led by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and—wait for it—Trump. As of this writing, Hamas has not yet signed on. If Hamas rejects the deal, Trump told Netanyahu, “Bibi, you’d have our full backing to do what you would have to do.” So if the war drags on and on, blame Hamas terrorists, not Netanyahu and Israel. Trump arranged a trilateral phone call during which Netanyahu apologized to Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani of Qatar and expressed regret for a Sept. 9 Israeli airstrike that targeted Hamas leaders, but instead killed a Qatari security officer and violated Qatar’s sovereignty. Later, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari told reporters the country “welcomes the totality of the plan.” Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt also signed onto a statement supporting the Trump plan. The 20-point plan omitted mention of a key Netanyahu goal, the annexation of the West Bank. ‘Smoothing of Tensions’ “The key tangible takeaway … was the smoothing of tensions between Israel and Qatar,” Katulis offered. Katulis has other issues with the plan. “Like the Holy Roman Empire, which wasn’t very holy or Roman, this is not much of a plan and won’t likely lead to much of a peace,” he responded. “It’s a fig leaf for the current Israeli government to avoid where the consensus in the Middle East is, in favor of a two-state solution.” “It also lacks a principle of getting a commitment from the Israeli Right and violent settlers for peaceful coexistence,” Katulis added. As far as the remaining hostages and their families are concerned, however, the 20-point plan would change everything, because the fourth point says, “Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting this agreement, all hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned.” Originally, the hostages numbered more than 250. In September, Amnesty International put the number at 47 with approximately 20, all men, believed to be “still alive.” Yingst noted on Fox News, after the plan’s release, “There’s a lot at stake here for the Palestinian people. We have to remember, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed by Israeli strikes over the past two years inside Gaza. The vast majority of the population has been displaced from their homes, and much of the Gaza Strip is leveled. President Trump is offering the Palestinian people to stay in Gaza, not be forcefully displaced, on top of that offering them billions of dollars in regional support to rebuild homes in the Gaza Strip with a new peaceful, moderate government.” It is as good a deal as Hamas would have any reason to expect. “But,” as Yingst noted, “this requires Hamas to lay down their arms and release the hostages.” COPYRIGHT 2025 CREATORS.COM We publish a variety of perspectives. NewsBusters Podcast: Jane Fonda and the Left Cry Censorship NOW?

Jane Fonda is relaunching her father's "Committee for the First Amendment," proclaiming Trump is engaged in a "coordinated campaign to silence critics." We're still reckoning with the dramatic Biden Administration pressure campaign to silence and deplatform critics across Big Tech platforms. But the pro-Biden media routinely ignore leftist censorship against conservative "misinformation." They skipped coverage of Google's letter admitting the Biden administration censorship pressure, as they ignored the Twitter Files and so on. I'm joined on this episode by Michael Morris, director of MRC's Free Speech America and Luis Cornelio, associate editor at FSA. Apple and Microsoft joined Google on Wednesday in ignoring right-leaning news about the government shutdown. They failed to include right-leaning news sources on Wednesday and instead propped up the leftist media and their blame-Republicans narrative, sharing articles shared articles from leftist sources like ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, Reuters, The Associated Press, Axios, and the socialist British newspaper The Guardian. This annoying habit of suggesting only liberal sources are relialbe sources is still happening on Elon Musk's X. Luis reported that although visibility scores are important, X accounts must also surpass a certain “reputation” metric threshold to be considered by the algorithm to begin with. If an account has a reputation score below 65, it effectively faces automatic censorship.  Last year’s numbers were shocking: 100 percent of left-leaning media sources exceeded the 65 threshold. In contrast, 75 percent of right-leaning media outlets fell short, suggesting they were censored. In 2025, censorship on the X platform has drastically decreased, with right-leaning media sources averaging 69 percent for reputation, and with just 29 percent of right-leaning media outlets below the 65-reputation-score threshold. But eight right-leaning media sources fell below that mark. The specific media outlets that registered scores lower than 65 include: The Epoch Times, The American Spectator, The Blaze, New York Post's Opinion section, OANN, and The Post Millennial, each scoring 60.  Wikipedia founder Larry Sanger just told Tucker Carlson that Wikipedia is censoring right-wing media sources. MRC Free Speech America exposed this wildly biased list in February 2025, calling out the propaganda website’s editors for labelling mainstream right-of-center media sources like The Daily Wire and the New York Post, among others, as “blacklisted,” “deprecated,” or “generally unreliable,” while greenlighting leftist legacy media sources like MSNBC, Mother Jones, The New York Times, and CNN. MRC research showed how 100 percent of right-of-center media sources, as determined by AllSides Media Bias Chart, were effectively blacklisted. Finally, we discussed FSA head honcho Dan Schneider's op-ed this week in the New York Post: "Google’s sly censorship ‘confession’ is no big win for free speech." Schneider's points were quite clear: "Google admitted no wrongdoing, Google volunteered nothing, Google clarified nothing, Google pledged nothing, Google changed nothing, Google said nothing."
