Here’s What We Know About ICE Shooter Joshua Jahn

Joshua Jahn, the 29-year-old identified as the gunman who opened fire on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, was raised by a left-leaning mother and previously held jobs where he installed solar panels and picked marijuana, a Daily Wire review found. Jahn allegedly opened fire on the ICE detention center Wednesday morning, killing one illegal immigrant detainee and injuring two others before turning the gun on himself. While an investigation into the incident is still ongoing, the shooter allegedly left bullet casings engraved with the phrase “ANTI-ICE” on them that revealed the “ideological motive” behind the attack, FBI Director Kash Patel revealed on X. At Least One Dead, Two Wounded In Targeted Attack On Dallas ICE Facility “I didn’t think he was politically interested. He wasn’t interested in politics on either side as far as I knew,” he added. Noah said Joshua knew how to use the rifle their parents own, but is no “marksman, that’s for sure.” “He would not be able to make any shots like that,” Noah said. The alleged attacker was unemployed at the time of the shooting and had plans to move into his parents’ home in Oklahoma, Noah told NBC. His previous jobs included installing solar panels and picking marijuana, according to his LinkedIn. Joshua grew up in Allen, Texas, and was a Boy Scout when he was younger, Noah told NBC. Photo obtained by The Daily Wire shows bullet holes in windows at the ICE detention center in Dallas following Wednesday’s shooting. Photo obtained by The Daily Wire shows a bullet hole in the window of an ICE employee’s office at the detention facility in Dallas. Joshua’s mother, Sharon Jahn, previously ranted on social media against Republican lawmakers in Texas for supporting the Second Amendment. “Governor Abbott, Senator Cornyn and Senator Cruz how does it make you feel that your action to open up gun laws is responsible for the killing of 21 more people?” she wrote in a post on May 25, 2022. She added: “Do you secretly sit in front of a tv and smile a demented smile? You must be proud of all the money that sits in your bank accounts from the gun lobby support. Was it worth it, Governor Abbott? How about you senators?” ‘This Needs To Stop’: Ted Cruz Slams Leftists’ ‘Rhetoric’ After Texas ICE Facility Shooting “Here is my hope: May you be reminded of the deaths every time you spend that precious blood money you have received from the gun lobby. Hope you think of it 100% when you attend the NRA meeting in a few days.” “Senator Cornyn, I realize you suddenly had something in DC come up where you won’t be attending. It’s unfortunate you don’t even have the spine to stand up to the NRA and tell them the real reason you aren’t attending. You are a coward, a spineless coward.” She also posted song lyrics two days later that included the phrase “We can melt all the guns.” Wednesday’s attack comes amid a string of left-wing political violence that includes the assassination of Charlie Kirk. And just a day before the latest shooting, the man who tried to assassinate President Donald Trump was found guilty in a Florida court. In recent years, radical left groups such as the Socialist Rifle Association have been linked to numerous violent attacks, including a July 4 ambush against the ICE facility in Alvarado, located outside of Dallas.

Human Rights Campaign’s Own Data Undermine Claims About an ‘Epidemic’ of Violence Against Transgender People

The assassination of Charlie Kirk and other recent shootings that appear motivated by transgender ideology raise questions about the potential radicalizing nature of heated rhetoric on the issue, particularly from influential groups like the Human Rights Campaign. While the Human Rights Campaign does not call for violence against conservatives, it publishes reports claiming there is an “Epidemic of Violence” against transgender people and branding opposition to the transgender agenda a “Culture of Violence.” The “Culture of Violence” report traces the violence back to “anti-trans stigma and discrimination,” suggesting that policies preventing males from competing in women’s sports or keeping boys out of girls’ restrooms are inspiring violent attacks. “Anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and legislative attacks are translating to anti-LGBTQ+ violence,” the report insists. Yet this violence has arguably been exaggerated. You see, the Human Rights Campaign’s own data suggest that transgender people actually face a lower homicide risk than other groups, particularly men, women, black, white, and Hispanic people. Since 2013, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation has counted the deaths of “transgender and gender-expansive victims of fatal violence.” In the period between Nov. 21, 2023, and Nov. 20, 2024, the foundation counted 36 deaths. This represented an increase from the 33 victims in the previous year. For the 10 years since the foundation began counting, it identified 372 victims. Each death is tragic, but these figures do not back up the claim of an “epidemic” of violence. What Is the Rate of Transgender Homicide Victims? The Human Rights Campaign claims that “more than 2 million” people identify as transgender or gender-nonconforming. The Williams Institute, a pro-transgender think tank at the University of California, Los Angeles, law school, puts the number at 2.8 million. HRC has endorsed Williams Institute figures in other contexts, so it may agree with the 2.8 million figure. Using the exact figure of 2 million, which HRC suggests is an underestimate, there were 1.8 homicides per 100,000 people who identify as transgender in 2024. Using the Williams Institute’s figure, there were 1.29 homicides per 100,000. The Human Rights Campaign counted a record of 46 deaths in 2021. Even using the lowest possible HRC-endorsed figure for the transgender population (2 million), that equates to a rate of 2.3 homicides per 100,000. How Does This Homicide Rate Stack Up? The rate of 1.29 homicides per 100,000 transgender people pales in comparison to the homicide rates of men, women, whites, blacks, and Hispanics. For the period between November 2023 and November 2024, the FBI counted 3,812 female homicide victims, according to the Crime Data Explorer. According to the Census Bureau, there were 166.5 million women in the U.S. in 2021. That yields a rate of 2.29 homicide victims per 100,000 women. The FBI counted 12,822 male homicide victims in the same period, and the Census Bureau estimated 163.2 million men in the U.S. That yields a rate of 7.86 homicide victims per 100,000 men. The FBI counted 7,071 white homicide victims in the same period. The Census Bureau reported a white population figure of 260.2 million in 2021. That yields a rate of 2.72 homicides per 100,000 white people. The FBI counted 8,698 black homicide victims, and the Census Bureau estimated a black population of 49.6 million in 2021. That yields a rate of 17.5 homicides per 100,000 black people. The FBI counted 2,629 Hispanic or Latino homicide victims in 2024, and the Census Bureau estimated a Hispanic population of 62.1 million in 2021. That yields a rate of 4.2 homicides per 100,000 Hispanic people. Even the highest HRC figure of 2.3 homicides per 100,000 is substantially lower than almost every other figure—on par with the female homicide rate of 2024 and lower than the rates for men, whites, blacks, and Hispanics. When President Donald Trump highlighted the crime in Washington, D.C., to justify federal intervention, he noted the nation’s capital city experienced a homicide rate of 27.3 per 100,000 in 2024. That figure comes from a Rochester Institute of Technology study comparing 24 U.S. cities. The city at the bottom of the list, Boston, experienced 3.7 homicides per 100,000 in 2024. The overall U.S. rate for 2023 was 5.6 homicides per 100,000—still substantially higher than the highest Human Rights Campaign estimate. While the Human Rights Campaign claims its numbers of transgender victims are likely an undercount, the true number would have to be orders of magnitude higher in order to justify hyperbolic claims like an “epidemic of violence.” An ‘Epidemic?’ The Human Rights Campaign’s own data form an indictment against HRC’s claim that transgender people face an “epidemic of violence.” Here’s the good news: The threats to transgender people have been greatly exaggerated. People who identify as transgender do not need to fear random violent attacks. Yet HRC’s list of transgender homicide victims also reveals something else: These people aren’t the victims of roving “far-right extremists” who object to using “ze” and “zir” to refer to transgender unicorns. People like Matt Walsh aren’t targeting the real transgender homicide victims. For instance, HRC identifies Juchuan Hamilton, 25, a man who identified as a woman and went by “Quanesha Shantel,” as one of the victims. Jeremy Reynolds, Hamilton’s ex-boyfriend, shot and killed him after Hamilton broke off their relationship, the Greensboro News & Record reported. The list also includes Santonio Coleman, a 48-year-old man found bloodied and unresponsive on a trail in Athens, Georgia. While initial reports suggested a homicide, the coroner later said the injuries may be consistent with a possible accidental fall. The Daily Signal has reached out to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the police detective assigned to the case. In some cases, as of 36-year-old Latoya “Tee” Arnold, police have said the homicide was not likely motivated by the victim’s gender identity. As the Human Rights Campaign notes, “Many victims were killed by a friend, family, or romantic/sexual intimate partner.” Every murder is horrific, and Americans should mourn when lives are taken too soon. But a few isolated instances do not justify claiming an “epidemic of violence.” It’s time for the Human Rights Campaign to dial down the hyperbole. The Human Rights Campaign did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment by publication time. ‘Go Straight to Hell’: After ICE Facility Shooting, JD Vance Condemns Democrats for Villainizing ICE Agents

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Vice President JD Vance shamed Democrats on Wednesday for villainizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the aftermath of the shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas. The shooter opened fire into the facility around 7 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, killing two illegal immigrants and then himself with his own firearm. In the aftermath of the shooting, Vance said during a speech in Concord, North Carolina, that the repeated divisive rhetoric against ICE agents has encouraged this form of violence. “If your political rhetoric encourages violence against law enforcement, you can go straight to hell and you have no place in the political conversation of the United States of America,” Vance said. Authorities discovered bullet casings at the scene that had been engraved with the term “ANTI-ICE,” Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel said on X. WATCH: Vance called out Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom for stating on Tuesday that ICE is the “largest private domestic army” and that the agency’s actions are “alarming beyond words.” The governor further stated that ICE’s raids and arrests of criminal illegal immigrants is part of President Donald Trump’s “authoritarian tendencies.” Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz labeled ICE as a “modern-day Gestapo” during a commencement speech in May while Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett compared ICE agents to “slave patrols” during a Friday appearance on MSNBC. Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez referred to ICE as a “rogue agency that should not exist” in May. NBC News also falsely reported that ICE agents detained a 5-year-old autistic girl to intimidate her illegal immigrant father to turn himself in. The outlet later issued a correction, stating that it had “mischaracterized” the agents’ activities. Vance used NBC News’ debunked report as an example of being an incitement of political violence. He called on Democrats and the liberal media to tone down their rhetoric against their political opponents. “Political violence has gotten out of control in this country. We’ve got to stop it, we’ve got to condemn it, and that starts, unfortunately, at the very top of the Democratic Party. If you want to stop political violence, stop attacking our law enforcement as the Gestapo. If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with you is a Nazi. If you want to stop political violence, look in the mirror. That’s the way that we stop political violence in this country, and we have got to do it,” Vance said. The vice president said that protecting law enforcement must be a priority. ICE agents and facilities have faced a 1,000% increase in assaults since Trump reentered office in January, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Authorities have charged at least 11 individuals in connection with an ambush on an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, in July, which led to the injury of a police officer who was shot in the neck. An active shooter also targeted Border Patrol agents at a facility in McAllen, Texas, in July. Rep. Fine on Dallas ICE Shooting: An Example of Leftist Violence That Threatens Law Enforcement Officers’ Safety

America just experienced another tragic and preventable act of violence. Joshua Jahn, a criminal radicalized by hateful anti-law enforcement rhetoric from the Democrats, committed an act of leftist terrorism against an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas. He undoubtedly was targeting law enforcement agents. He killed two people and wounded one more before turning the gun on himself. The mainstream media can play dumb all they want, but we know what the motive is, and we do not need CNN or MSNBC to confirm it. This terrorist attack was just another deadly consequence of years of demonization by the Left against law enforcement officers who risk their lives to keep our country safe. Democrats built this climate of hate. For years, leftist activist allies have painted ICE and all law enforcement as evil villains. They smear ICE agents as racist, nazis, white-supremacists, and convinced a large segment of the public that these officers are enemies rather than protectors. When you use this type of rhetoric, you are not engaging in debate. You are encouraging violence. The blood spilled in Dallas rests on those who have fed this narrative: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hakeem Jeffries, Gavin Newsom, just to name a few. This is not an isolated incident. Radical agitators across the country have escalated their attacks on ICE. I fear this will only become more common and more violent as the Left continues to deny their role in provoking it. The violence has escalated from tire slashing and brick throwing to this outright assassination attempt. This was the fourth instance of violence or a threat against a Department of Homeland Security facility this year alone. This is because there is a significant percentage of those on the Left that believe violence is justified. Fully 25% of those who identify as “very liberal” and 17% of those that identify as “liberal” believe that political violence can sometimes be justified. The statistic is, unfortunately, far less shocking when you consider the string of political attacks against the right. This goes further than just a poll on the internet. Last week, when the House of Representatives held a resolution to condemn Charlie Kirk’s assassination, 118 of 213 House Democrats did NOT vote to condemn it. The problem very obviously goes beyond street-level agitators, and we need to call it out. Leaders at the highest levels have fueled this atmosphere. Sanctuary city politicians and radical governors have encouraged citizens to resist ICE at every turn. Gov. Newsom of California just this week issued a foolish and outright dangerous proclamation requiring ICE agents to remove their face masks when conducting field operations. This order was given despite increased doxing, threats against families, and now an assassination attempt on agents. Newsom is all but asking for the millions of criminal aliens in America to target law enforcement with this order, and he should be ashamed of himself. That is why Republicans need to band together and stand with ICE agents and law enforcement officers every single day in Congress and at every level of government. That means standing against the pro-crime Democrats that, for inexplicable reasons, choose to sacrifice the safety of our law enforcement officers on the altar of self-righteousness. That is why I introduced the Initiating Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Act, which levies the same penalties on thugs that interfere with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations as those who aid and abet illegal immigrants. If you interfere with ICE, you should be in prison on the same row as criminal aliens and those that help them. ICE and Border Patrol agents are combating our number one national security issue in America. We rely on them to protect our borders. A nation that cannot protect its borders is not a nation, and a government that will not defend its law enforcement officers cannot defend its people. Our enemies abroad are watching. If they see that we cannot even safeguard those who protect us here at home, how can we expect them to take us seriously? I stand with ICE. I stand with our Border Patrol. I stand with the men and women who wear the badge and face down danger on our behalf, and I will not sit silently while the Left paints targets on their backs. And I will not stop until those who attack our officers face the justice they deserve. America must choose. We either stand with law enforcement, or we stand with leftist lawlessness. Where do you stand? I know where I do. We publish a variety of perspectives. Nothing written here is to be construed as representing the views of The Daily Signal. The post Rep. Fine on Dallas ICE Shooting: An Example of Leftist Violence That Threatens Law Enforcement Officers’ Safety appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Carhartt Dog Safety Vest: Protecting Your Canine Companion

Working dogs and active pets face real dangers during outdoor activities, especially in low-light conditions. The Carhartt Dog Safety Vest offers professional-grade protection that keeps your canine visible and safe. At DogingtonPost, we’ve tested numerous safety gear options for dogs. This vest stands out for its durability and high-visibility design that can prevent accidents before they happen. What Makes Carhartt Safety Vests Stand Out High-Visibility Design That Works The Carhartt Dog Safety Vest combines hunter orange fabric with 3M reflective tape to maximize visibility. This combination reflects light back to drivers from up to 500 feet away, according to 3M test data. The spacer mesh construction weighs just 13.27 oz per square yard while it maintains breathability during extended wear. Reflective gear significantly reduces accident rates compared to standard bright colors alone. Built for Real Work Conditions The vest features triple-stitched seams at stress points and 500D nylon cotton duck material that prevents frays after months of outdoor use. The 100% polyester construction resists water while it maintains flexibility in temperatures from -10°F to 100°F. This durability matters because replacement costs add up quickly – dog owners regularly invest in safety gear to protect their pets. Precise Fit System The hook-and-loop closure system allows for micro-adjustments across chest and waist measurements. Carhartt includes improved tabs at neck and chest areas that eliminate pressure points during 8-hour work sessions. The vest accommodates chest measurements from 16 inches in size small up to 42 inches in extra-large. Proper fit prevents the 23% of safety vest failures that occur due to improper size selection, based on field reports from professional dog handlers. Weather-Resistant Performance The lightweight spacer mesh design allows air circulation while the water-resistant coating protects against rain and snow. The vest maintains its reflective properties even after exposure to mud, dirt, and moisture. Professional handlers report that these vests perform consistently across different weather conditions without compromising visibility or comfort. These features work together to create a safety system that protects your dog in various outdoor situations, but the real value comes from how these benefits translate into practical protection during your daily activities. Why Your Dog Needs a Safety Vest Around 4 in every 1,000 dogs are involved in road traffic accidents, with younger and male dogs at the most risk. These incidents happen because drivers cannot spot dogs in time to react safely. The Carhartt Dog Safety Vest directly addresses this problem through its 3M reflective tape that remains visible from 500 feet away at night. Professional dog handlers report a 67% reduction in close calls after they switch to high-visibility gear. The vest’s hunter orange color provides daytime visibility that standard dog coats cannot match, while the reflective panels activate under headlights to create a bright outline of your dog’s position. Maximum Protection During Peak Danger Hours Evening walks between 5 PM and 9 PM represent the highest risk period for dog accidents, based on emergency veterinary data. The Carhartt vest transforms your dog into a highly visible target during these critical hours through its wide silver reflective panels. The spacer mesh design maintains breathability while the water-resistant coating protects against rain (which reduces natural visibility by 40%). Professional search and rescue teams rely on similar visibility standards because seconds matter during emergency situations. The vest’s 13.27 oz weight prevents fatigue during extended outdoor activities while it maintains protective coverage across your dog’s torso. Weather Resistance That Actually Works Temperature fluctuations and moisture destroy the effectiveness of standard reflective materials within months of regular use. The Carhartt vest maintains its reflective properties after exposure to mud, snow, and rain through its durable 100% polyester construction. Field tests show the vest performs consistently in temperatures from -10°F to 100°F without material degradation. This weather resistance matters because replacement costs average $43 per vest, and most dog owners need multiple replacements per year with inferior products (making durability a key factor in long-term value). Active Dog Benefits Beyond Basic Safety Working dogs and hunting companions face additional challenges that standard pet gear cannot handle. The vest’s triple-stitched construction withstands brush, thorns, and rough terrain without tearing. Professional handlers use these vests during 8-hour work sessions because the adjustable fit prevents chafing and pressure points. The lightweight design allows full range of motion while the reflective coverage extends across the dog’s entire torso for maximum protection. During hunting season, reflective vests become essential safety equipment for outdoor adventures. With these safety benefits established, the next step involves selecting the right size and model to match your dog’s specific needs and activity level. How to Select the Perfect Carhartt Safety Vest Accurate Measurements Prevent Safety Failures Measure your dog’s neck circumference at the widest point, chest girth behind the front legs, and back length from neck to tail base. The Carhartt safety vest requires these three measurements to achieve proper fit that prevents safety failures from incorrect size selection. Size small fits dogs with 16-20 inch chest measurements, medium accommodates 20-26 inches, large covers 26-34 inches, and extra-large handles 34-42 inch measurements. Professional dog handlers report that loose vests slide during activity while tight vests restrict breath and movement. The hook-and-loop closure system allows 2-3 inches of adjustment within each size range, but this cannot compensate for wrong base size selection. Model Selection Based on Activity Requirements The standard Carhartt Dog Safety Vest at $42.99 provides maximum visibility for general outdoor activities and evening walks. The lightweight version weighs 13.27 oz per square yard compared to heavier alternatives, which makes it suitable for extended wear during hunt or work sessions. Professional handlers choose the standard model for dogs that work 8-hour shifts because the spacer mesh prevents overheating while it maintains reflective coverage. The hunter orange color meets safety standards for hunt seasons in all 50 states, while the 3M reflective tape performs in temperatures from -10°F to 100°F. Dogs that weigh under 25 pounds benefit from the lightweight construction, while larger work breeds require the durability of triple-stitched seams and 500D nylon that withstands brush and rough terrain contact. Value Analysis Against Replacement Costs The $42.99 price point delivers superior value compared to cheaper alternatives that require replacement every 3-4 months due to material failure. Professional dog services report they spend $120-160 annually on inferior safety vests versus single Carhartt purchases that last 18-24 months with regular use. The water-resistant coat and fade-resistant materials maintain effectiveness after exposure to mud, rain, and UV radiation that destroys standard reflective gear within weeks. Pet insurance costs average $53 monthly for dogs, making the one-time investment in quality safety gear financially logical. The vest’s resale value remains high due to Carhartt’s reputation, with used models that sell for 60-70% of retail price on secondary markets. Final Thoughts The Carhartt Dog Safety Vest provides measurable protection through 3M reflective tape that maintains visibility from 500 feet away and hunter orange fabric that meets professional safety standards. The $42.99 investment prevents the average $120-160 annual replacement costs of inferior products while it delivers 18-24 months of reliable performance. Professional handlers report 67% fewer close calls after they switch to high-visibility gear, particularly during the peak danger hours of 5-9 PM when most dog accidents occur. The triple-stitched construction and weather-resistant materials withstand real work conditions without they compromise safety effectiveness. Your dog’s protection requires gear that performs consistently across different weather conditions and activity levels. The vest meets these demands through proven materials and construction methods that professional services rely on daily. Quality safety gear protects your canine companion when it matters most (during low-light conditions and outdoor activities). We at DogingtonPost recommend you purchase directly from authorized retailers to guarantee authentic products with full warranty coverage. MSNBC Cues Up Pritzker to Call Trump’s Crackdown on Crime ‘Authoritarian Rule’

On Tuesday, MSNBC aired a pre-recorded interview between Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker with the latter having felt the need to downplay the prevalence of violence in Chicago and described President Trump’s use of National Guard as authoritarian. Brzezinski asked the Governor to respond to recent remarks made by Trump: BRZEZINSKI: At Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, President Trump said this, “We’re going to have Charlie very much in mind when we go into Chicago. We’ll get that straightened out. You have an incompetent Governor. He thinks it’s okay when 11 people get murdered over the weekend.” What is your response? PRITZKER: Well, let’s start with the idea that apparently Chicago is living rent free in the President’s head. He seems to mention Chicago at every turn. The reality is that Chicago isn’t even in the top 25 cities in terms of violent crime rates. Instead of admitting to the fact that the third largest American city has a murder problem, Pritzker practically ignored the statistic and reframed the city in a safer light. The Governor decided to psychoanalyze the President, “So, he’s attacking Chicago because he doesn’t like that people in Chicago don’t vote for Donald Trump.”     Or maybe it’s because rampant crime is still a problem. Urban environments, where violent crime tends to happen, also tend to lean left. And for those who think Trump is only going after blue states, he may also deploy National Guard in Memphis, Tennessee and New Orleans, Louisana. He continued: And I’ve asked the President for help. FBI, ATF, DEA. We want to fight drugs and gangs and guns on the streets of Chicago, and we’ve done a good job of it over the last four years. We’ve cut the homicide rate in half. All of the violent crime rates for the city of Chicago have gone down by double digits. Regardless, that doesn’t fully address the problem. If liberal cities actually cared about cracking down on crime, then they would have already. The imposition of federal troops isn’t to conquer or “occupy,” but to tamp down the problem until local authorities actually do their job. Brzezinski continued to sit on the sidelines as Pritzker decried how the President wants to send National Guard instead of the resources Illinois wants: But we want more help. He’s not offering that. Instead, he’s offering troops, who are not trained to do law enforcement. They don’t know how to do arrests. They’re really not appropriate for an American city. And frankly, this is part of a broader effort on his part to impose his authoritarian rule on big cities across the United States. This alleged authoritarian regime has yet to materialize. If the Democrats’ approach was legitimately effective, then there would be no need for any federal assistance. Trump wants to use what works. Brzezinski invited Pritzker to double down instead of pointing out the interview with said rhetoric was taped a day after Charlie Kirk’s memorial service: BRZEZINSKI: How would you describe it as authoritarian rule? PRITZKER: Well, one after another—look at everything that he’s been about as President. Just recently, trying to take Jimmy Kimmel off the air by having his FCC Chair threaten stations with taking away their licenses. Donald Trump has very often talked about bringing troops not just into cities, but anywhere where he sees an opponent that he thinks he should come after. Somehow, the flash free speech scare over Kimmel’s now-reversed suspension was a part of Trump’s “authoritarian rule on big cities.” It was clear Pritzker didn’t think through his line of reasoning ahead of time and fell back on partisan finger pointing. The hodge-podged argument didn’t stop there: “Much of his rhetoric, as we’ve seen in his speeches, even last night during the Charlie Kirk memorial, he talked about the fact that although Charlie Kirk didn’t hate his opponents, that Donald Trump does. And that he harbors ill will toward them continually.” And yet we’re supposed to be told state-run media is only on the right? According to Pritzker, the President “is a person who thinks that his personal will should be imposed upon the United States.” Trump has iterated that his re-election was a mandate given to him by the American people. And considering during his first term there were those in the executive branch willing to subvert his authority, coupled with the fact that Congress is largely dependent on Presidential initiative, Trump’s perspective is not at all inconceivable: He wants his Justice Department to go after his opponents.
