Brianna Chickenfry Says Zach Bryan’s Ex-Wife, Rose, Has Been Her “Voice Of Reason” Throughout The Messy Breakup

One of few people who knows what it’s like to date, or rather be married to, Zach Bryan. Of course, this past week was filled with more drama between Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry (whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia), as the two of them were going back and forth over the details of their breakup, trading shots across social media at each other. Brianna has spoken a lot about their split, but Zach really hasn’t, so it was pretty surprising when he posted (and of course quickly deleted) a text message reportedly from Brianna, that appears to have been shortly after their relationship ended. It spiraled from there, but there’s not really any context or explanation for why he posted the message, in which Brianna says “I still have love for you” and that things would have ended differently if it were up to her. She also says that the timing of their relationship was wrong and that he wasn’t ready, but that she’ll always be there for him. There’s no date on the message, but the next message (which is cut off) comes on October 29, a little over a week before her tell-all BFFs podcast. And naturally, Brianna had to respond. In a series of posts to her Instagram, Brianna shared her thoughts on Zach sharing her text message, including one accusing him of being “blackout at 7am again” and claiming that she was living rent free in his head: In another post, she shared what she claims is a text from Zach’s manager, Danny Kang, outlining the terms of the proposed NDA that was offered to her. The message proposes two options for Brianna to choose from: Either a flat $10 million payment, or $3 million plus she would get to keep the house in Duxbury, Massachusetts, which Zach bought in April 2024 for a reported $7.5 million. Additionally, the terms of the NDA would include Brianna not speaking about Zach or any “non-public cheating,” and guarantee that the recording her former friend and podcast co-host Grace O’Malley has of Zach (presumably the fire pit video) “never gets talked about.” Zach’s team acknowledges that Brianna has no control over what Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and BFFs co-host Josh Richards say about Zach or the breakup, but she was not to “feed into any of it” and would “deflect and defend Zach in moments that people try to pry at the relationship.” Honestly, it looks like a pretty sweet deal, but hey, that’s her business. She ended with several slides dedicated to defending herself, claiming that she has “not told ONE lie ever” and calling his fans and defenders “brain dead.” Brianna also says she wants nothing to do with Zach and doesn’t know why he’s “crashing out” over her, but that she refuses to take the bait and “expose” him any further. I mean, it’s kind of ironic to post seven slides about him while claiming that you’re done talking about him. I get that she wants to defend herself, but this whole thing had died down until Zach made a jab at her in a TikTok comment. If either of them would just let it go, I feel like the other would move on too. But from the looks of it, that’s not going to happen any time soon, and that is evidenced by today’s BFF’s podcast, which Brianna hosts with Josh Richards. She got into more details about the texts and drama from this week, but she also talked about a certain person who has helped her through this drama from the beginning, which is Zach’s ex-wife, Rose. Zach and Rose got married back in 2020, before getting divorced only a year later. Brianna has previously shared that she and Rose have been in contact, and during the podcast episode while she was talking about all of it, Rose Facetimed her. Brianna called Rose a “Voice of reason” for her during all of this, and acknowledged how helpful it was to have someone else who knows what she’s going through: “Oh, guess who’s Facetiming me? Rose. Obviously can’t put that in, but I just wanna say, through all of this, like, if I didn’t get to talk to Rose or like have Rose through this, I would be… I think I would go f****** crazy. She helped me so much in the beginning, and even just like right now, it’s like, thank God, a voice of reason, you know… so she rocks.” It’s never a good sign when you have your ex-girlfriend and ex-wife teaming up against you, and while Rose seemingly did sign an NDA, unlike Brianna, I’d venture to guess they had very similar experiences and have obviously formed a bond over it. You can watch Brianna talk about it here: @bffspod♬ original sound – BFFs Pod The full podcast: The post Brianna Chickenfry Says Zach Bryan’s Ex-Wife, Rose, Has Been Her “Voice Of Reason” Throughout The Messy Breakup first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

On A Rainy Night At Red Rocks, Eric Church Baptized 10,000 Sinners Like Him With An Epic Acoustic Show

It was well past midnight when Eric Church finally left the stage at Red Rocks. He had long since blown past the venue’s curfew – and his prepared setlist. And everybody in the stands had long since given up on any thoughts of staying dry, after a torrential downpour moved in and seemed to hover over Morrison, Colorado. Church was winging it, just him and his guitar. But despite the rain, and despite the fact that it was nearly 12:30 and many of the 10,000 people in the stands had been there three nights in a row, the crowd was just fine with standing there as long as he wanted to play. Just 10,000 sinners being baptized at Church in a night that they won’t soon forget. The three night run started out with a bang. The first show at Red Rocks featured a full orchestra, choir and horn section as Church ran through his entire Evangeline vs. The Machine album from front to back before playing some of his hits. But each night, the ensemble behind Church got smaller. The second night, it was just his original band and longtime backup singer and powerhouse duet partner Joanna Cotten for a show that was reminiscent of his shows from a decade ago. And when Church finally took the stage for the final night, after a short delay caused by lightning that passed through, he walked out by himself before launching into a soaring cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” @whiskeyriff Red Rocks night 3 @Eric Church #whiskeyriff #ericchurch #redrocks #hallelujah ♬ original sound – Whiskey Riff It was an appropriate opening song, because for the next 2 and a half hours, everybody there was at Church. Church performed the first seven songs by himself. He paid tribute to his life on the road as a touring artist with his unreleased song “On The Road,” and broke out a new song that he had just written that day called “New Old Me” – which was, as he told the crowd, inspired by a Whiskey Riff article on his show the night before. It took until song 4, when he launched into “These Boots,” before Church finally got around to playing a song he had previously released. But nobody seemed to mind. As Church mentioned at the beginning of the show, he wanted it to be like he was sitting in his living room. And everybody there was more than willing to join him wherever he wanted to go. (Although he really needs to get the roof in his living room checked because it was leaking like crazy). Those in the crowd were treated to a rare performance of the unreleased fan favorite “Old Friends, Old Whiskey, Old Songs,” and a “Record Year” medley that wove in everything from “Walking In Memphis” and “Piano Man” to “Luckenbach, Texas” and the theme song from the Dukes of Hazzard. But Church wasn’t entirely alone on stage. As he performed a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Atlantic City,” Joanna Cotten appeared onstage to a massive roar from the crowd and a massive grin from Chief. The cast was set for the rest of the evening, and from there, it was on. Before launching into a performance of Johnny and June Carter Cash’s “Jackson,” Church looked at Joanna and asked: “Are we really doing this?” And they did. And it was incredible. From there, Church stuck to his own songs for the rest of the setlist (key word here), hitting songs like “Smoke A Little Smoke,” “Hell Of A View,” and even his newest single “Hands Of Time.” But once he wrapped up with his acoustic performance of “Springsteen,” the setlist was over. The show, though, was anything but. By this point everybody was soaked. Every time I moved my head, water ran off my poncho like it was pouring off of a roof. The stairs at Red Rocks had turned into a raging river. And the best was yet to come. Blowing through the venue’s curfew, Church kicked off a 12-song encore of sorts with “Through My Ray Bans” from his 2021 Heart & Soul album. Between each song, he had to tell his guitar tech which guitar to bring him because he was making up the setlist as he went. This was Church at his best, and everybody left in the stands was just there to watch the master at work. Church joked that he was never going to be invited to Red Rocks again, so he might as well make the most of it. And for over two and a half hours, that’s just what he did. It was a performance worthy of the majestic venue, one that everybody in the stands would have been happy to see keep going well past the time he hit the final notes on “Man Who Was Gonna Die Young.” The show was an epic exclamation point on a week that served as a statement from one of country music’s all-time great entertainers. There’s nobody else in country music who could have done with Church did: Perform three entirely different shows, including one full acoustic show, on three consecutive nights. Not only is there nobody else who could pull it off, I feel confident in saying there’s nobody else who would even try. I’m thankful that I got to be there to see it, and dreading having to head to the airport soon to get back to Nashville (and not just because my shoes are still soaked from last night). I came to Red Rocks solo, but I met some incredible people who were around me all three nights that I was lucky enough to be able to share the experience with. The melodies that Church sang from the stage will forever be connected to the memories I made at Red Rocks. That’s what makes Church such a special, once-in-a-generation entertainer. When he said “for me it’s always been about these songs” in “Those I’ve Loved,” it was a sentiment that was on full display over the three night run. It was about the songs, it was about the journey to get to those songs, it was about those he’s met on that journey and those who have been along from the ride. It was Church. And on a rainy Wednesday night at Red Rocks, 10,000 sinners like him were baptized on a night that will go down as one of his greatest shows of all time. The post On A Rainy Night At Red Rocks, Eric Church Baptized 10,000 Sinners Like Him With An Epic Acoustic Show first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Pat Green Raises Over $1 Million For Texas Flood Relief During Livestream Concert

A massive donation to Texas flood relief efforts. By now, we are all familiar with the devastating news about how South-central Texas was ravaged by flash flooding over the 4th of July weekend. At the time of writing, the death toll has reached 133, rescue missions are not recovery missions, with 97 people still unaccounted for. We won’t know the official toll and extent of the damage for weeks (if not months), but we do know that the region currently needs all the help it can get to recover and rebuild. Just as we have seen with other natural disasters, the country music community quickly had their boots on the ground, planning and organizing benefit relief shows. We all know that music is healing, and artists from Texas, along with those with connections to Texas, are organizing benefit concerts to help heal the Lone Star State. One of these many benefit shows took place last night and had a massive impact, raising a substantial amount of money. Last night, July 16th, country artists gathered at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, for Pat Green and Friends: Texas Flood Relief Livestream. The non-ticketed, no-audience livestream created a benefit show that country fans from all over could attend and support a fantastic cause while watching. Pat Green worked with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, Corey Kent, Casey Donahew, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Josh Abbott, Ryan Bingham, Eli Young Band, Flatland Cavalry, Joe Nichols, Kaitlin Butts, Ty Myers, Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, Jon Wolfe, and more. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pat Green (@patgreenmusic) The event was a massive success, raising over $1 million for flood relief efforts. Yes, $1 MILLION! That’s incredible. The money raised during the concert went to Kerr County Relief, TEXSAR, and the Do It For Durrett Foundation. Green promised that every single cent given would directly assist those affected. “We needed to take care of more than just ours. We need to help take care of all the others, too. Playing music when the public is not around is a great opportunity for a rehearsal. We’re already a good band, but it’s fun to play anywhere.” Green told FOX 4. He expanded on these thoughts of supporting each other, sharing that Texans are a breed of their own, always looking out for each other. “Country music, especially Texas country people, we’re thick as thieves. We’re family to each other. All of these people I’ve known for most of my life. I look out for them as much as they look out for me.” Just like Miranda Lambert said earlier this week, “Texans help Texans,” and Pat Green agrees with that sentiment as well. Growing up in Waco, Texas, Green always knew that the Texas community was filled with people who had each other’s backs, and he feels that now it’s his turn to support those who have supported him. It may look different, but the mantra still stands: those who suffered more than likely supported his career at one point, so it’s time to give back to them. “I don’t know anything that stands behind Texas better than Texas.” If you missed the livestream, you can watch the whole concert on YouTube. Check it out. Pat Green Suffered A “Deeply Personal Loss” This event holds a deeply personal meaning to Pat Green. After the floods, he shared on Instagram that he had suffered a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss” due to the flooding. “Over the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family – like so many others – suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss. We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy. Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family. Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.” After Pat shared that on social media, his wife, Kori, shared more information about their family’s situation on her social media pages, and it’s unimaginable. Kori shared that Pat’s youngest brother, John, his wife, Julia, and two children were swept away in the flood. “We are so thankful for the outpouring of love and concern. Pat’s little brother John, his wife, Julia, and two of their children were swept away in the Kerrville flood. We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found. Thank you for your prayers.” Green’s youngest brother, John Burgess, and his wife, Julia, were staying in the Texas Hill Country to go pick up their eldest daughter at a camp that was not impacted by the flooding. The family had rented a place at the Blue Oak RV Park in Kerr County, which was the region most affected by the floods. When the Guadalupe River began to rise, the RV park was a location that was nearly washed away by the floodwaters. In an interview with Fox 4, Green opened up about the tragic loss: “I lost my brother, my sister-in-law, John and Julia, and their two boys. Thankfully, our niece has survived. And now it’s time we think about how we can rebuild the life around her. And then I thought about how many thousands of people across the great state have been directly affected by this and how many of their families have to do the same thing. I just want to give so much love to my parents who lost their children and their grandchildren.” Green canceled a concert scheduled for July 5th, as he did not feel it was right to perform with a heavy heart. Even with a heavy heart, mourning the loss of family members, Green is trying to find a positive in it all and has planned this benefit show to help as many people as possible in need. “For whatever reason, I was given this thing with my voice where I can, I can not only raise awareness but try to change people’s minds. And so, I’m trying to turn the sorrow into some bright light, and hopefully, bring some resolution for these families that have been decimated.” Pat Green’s impact will not go unnoticed. Texans help Texans, and those who participated in this livestream concert, whether as performers or donors, embody that motto. Additional Benefit Concerts Organized Pat Green is not the only one who has stepped up significantly. Many other artists have held or announced additional benefit shows that are unfolding in the weeks and months to come. Country music artist Josh Weathers organized a benefit concert and raised over $400,000, less than 48 hours after the disaster occurred, which was impressive all around. Then George Strait announced that a “Strait To The Heart” benefit concert was being organized and would take place later this month on July 27. Miranda Lambert has also announced that she has a Texas benefit concert in the works. The Josh Abbott Band announced their “Deep in the Heart Benefit Concert,” which will feature Carly Pearce, Casey Donahew, Kaitlin Butts, The Panhandlers, and Wade Bowen. And finally, Robert Earl Keen, who made an early promise to organize a benefit concert, fulfilled that promise, announcing Buc-ee’s Presents Robert Earl Keen and Friends: Applause for the Cause. On August 28th at Whitewater Amphitheater outside of New Braunfels, Texas, Keen will hit the stage with special guest Tyler Childers, alongside a special trio set from Miranda Lambert, Jon Randall, and Jack Ingram, plus Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers, Ryan Bingham, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and more to be announced.
